In Underlayes, a dimension separate from our own, where all mystical creatures reside, lies an orphanage for seemingly cast-off children, known as the Abbey. Children who are born from two or more factions. There they learn both who and what they truly are, and what powers they have lying within. What these children do not know is they were put there for their own good, for their protection, not … protection, not because they were unwanted or unloved. In fact, the very opposite is true. Many would kill to get their hands on these children.
As Jelissa comes of age, she is about to learn the hard way to what lengths one such being is willing to go.
Jelissa has been a resident of the Abbey for as long as she has been alive. She has also never known what she is, besides being part witch. At the age of twenty-five, she will learn just what types of blood run through her veins. She will also find out much more—that she is also the long-lost princess almost no one even knew existed.
Tialanna secreted her only child away for her own protection. Before she can tell Jelissa the truth, Jelissa is kidnapped. All Tialanna’s greatest fears unfold before her very eyes, and her past comes back to haunt her in more ways than one.
As most do when they come of age, Jelissa will learn the hard way that adult life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. And Tialanna learns the hard way that if you don’t learn from your past, it will come back and bite you on the ass.
Tialanna and her band of unmerry misfits are in a race against the clock to rescue Jelissa. Will they find her in time? And if they do, will they be able to save her from a danger they hadn’t anticipated: herself?

The daughter of the queen is kidnapped and she pulls out all stops to find her.
So this is book two of the series and I have not read the first one. This did result in a bit of a learning curve as there were a lot of character references and back story that I did not know. However, once I got into the book a little ways, it all came together. So I recommend starting with book one if you can, but jumping in here will work with just a bit of patience.
And that patience will be rewarded, because once you get past the opening bits, the story kicks into high gear and sucks you in to the end. The story is full of action, intrigue, unexpected twists and turns, and not a little steamy sex scenes. All these elements are blended together to produce an engaging, easy-to-read story which leaves you wanting more.
Highly recommended.

There is more drama in this sequel. Queen Tialanna’s daughter Julissa has been abducted from the orphanage she was hidden anonymously in. There is so much going on here as Tia along with her mates and her witch sisters try to find Julissa before her powerful abilities, that lay dormant until her current birthday, are released. Lots of tempers flaring and pissed off demons and witches. Very entertaining story.

What the children do not know is they are out there for their protection and not because they are unwanted. They are very special children and they learn this when they reach a certain age. She is taken before her mother can tell her the truth. Follow her adventures

This is an interesting paranormal story. It took me a bit to follow who everyone was since I missed a previous book. It certainly wasn’t what I expected as a “reverse harem” but I enjoyed the story. I would be looking for more to come in this series.

not at all an undesired mischling, this witch hybrid is a target – for power or destruction.
tricked into multi party shackles and sex, their best chance of survival is only with the help of her as yet unknown family and her friends
-who may well be similar targets.
how much can be lost or gained by misplaced trust?
who and what is left at the end?
high action suspense, harem sex, dystopia.

Like book 1, Witch Wars, there is some good and some bad. Since I like to end on a good note, I’ll start with the bad.
The Succubus, The Demon, & the Witch (TSTDTW) picks up 25 years after Witch Wars ends. That wouldn’t be a problem, except A LOT apparently happens during those 25 years. Throughout the book, you get hints about the events, but it felt to me as though an entire book was missing.
The hints at “missing” information were annoying, and I feel as though I got cheated out of the destruction of one of the villains of Witch Wars.
However, TSTDTW is mainly about Jelissa and her rescue, so it makes sense that the “missing” information isn’t included. I’m really just saying that I wish there was a book between the two.
NOTE: Since preparing this review, I’ve learned from Ms. Moorman that there is an “in between” story, Hybrids [released since this review was originally written].
Ok, the bad is out of the way. On to the good.
Evaluating TSTDTW as a stand-alone book (because in my eyes, that’s part of the point of reviews) the story is fantastic. I really enjoyed the “here and now” parts of it, as in, the parts that weren’t about trying to catch the reader up on everything that’s happened in the last 25 years.
Jelissa seems like a fun character, and I wish we could have seen more of her. I look forward to seeing more of her and her mates, as well as finding out how Tialanna’s life moves forward. I hope that in future books, or Novellas, we get Dravyn’s and Hildegard’s stories as well.
Overall, I enjoyed TSTDTW for what it was, I just feel it could have been more, especially if we’d gotten the “in between” story first. I am eager to read future installments of the Underlayes series. Both books so far have been well-polished, and contain few, if any, errors, which I greatly appreciate. Ms. Moorman has created a fabulous world, and I want to take another dive into it.
This book was a wild ride fro start to finish! The story jumps 25 years in the future after then Princess now Queen Tialanna gave birth to the cold she was carrying at the end of Witch Wars.
Kidnapping, steamy sex and epic battles ensue … anger & rage are the flavor of the Day and in the end will love and good intention be enough?

Absolutely fangtastic! This erotic paranormal has it all. Fight scenes, magic, quite literally smoking hot sex scenes that will make your toes curl and most all types of paranormal creatures you can think of. This author has the most amazing imagination! I got lost in the pages and life around me ceased to exist. Could not put it down. Lost some sleep actually but oh so worth it.
Jelissa, daughter of Queen Tialanna has been kidnapped. The hunt is on and nothing will stop the Queen, her husband’s and the rest of the royal family from finding her and/or finding revenge. You’ve got to read this book! And if you haven’t read Witch Wars: Underlayes, Book One I suggest you start there as you will need vital information from it. This book leaves an opening for a Book 3 -squee!- so get to reading. It ain’t over yet. 5* from SLH Reviews!
This is the 2nd book in this series and it is just as action packed as the first. The storylune and characters pull yiu in and recuse to let vo until the very last word
Well, I didn’t think this series could get much better but it has and I love it. The writing sucks you right into the story with such detailed information regarding the creative world, new characters and crazy situations. It made it very interesting to see where the relationships went in book 2 however, if I could only nit pick one thing is that I wished that the author had picked up where she left off. The book didn’t seem choppy or missing pieces as it sometimes does when you don’t pick up where a book ends and I was surprised yet grateful that it didn’t take away from the book. Moorman has made an amazing addition to this series and I cannot wait to see what it will bring in the future!
Old characters! New characters! So much going on and I just can’t stand it! I need more! Tialanna is back and she’s now Queen. She’s had a daughter, and the daughter has come of age. Lots going on in this book. Jelissa has just turned 25, and things are not going how she expected at all. She’s believed all her life that is a cast-off from a family who didn’t want her but that is far from the truth. Now, things have been put in play that put her and all who love and care about her in danger. Trouble is coming, and she’s at the dead center of it.
The Succubus, The Demon, and The Witch is book two in T.A. Moorman’s amazing paranormal series. This book, while regrettably, it does not pick up where book one left off, it picks up in a good place and barrels full speed ahead. There are going to be some similar situations that will reflect from book one, but this book is just as engaging as the first. There are some new characters to become interested in, and the old ones to rejoice at being reunited with as well.
My only pout as about this book is that we don’t get to experience the war. I think that that would have made an amazing story to read about Tialanna, her sisters, lovers and all coming together and succeeding in their fight. I can only imagine all of the gripping and hair-raising moments that we missed out on.That being said, this book, like the first does not disappoint on any level. I could not get enough and I have to say I just want more from this author.
So for that, I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This author has tapped into an amazing world with this series. These characters are so engaging, and we get to experience so much more with this story. Instead of just one character is the focus we have multiple. You’ll love it I’m sure.
When Jelisa was born she did not know who her parents were or what she was. She knew she was a witch. But when her 25th birthday comes and she prepares to go out with her two friends, she is kidnapped and drugged. That drug made her change. She went from virgin to mates to three guys she never met. What’s bad, the person who kidnapped is her blood.
