From bestselling author Charleigh Rose comes an angsty, new adult standaloneLoMoving to River’s Edge was supposed to be a fresh start.Away from chaos.Away from bad influences and worse relationships. All I wanted was to give my little brother more of a chance than I ever had.It should’ve been simple.I didn’t count on my transgressions following me.And I definitely didn’t count on meeting Dare.… me.
And I definitely didn’t count on meeting Dare.
Tall, tortured, and tattooed.
A Lost Boy through and through.
Falling for someone like him was asking for heartache.
But I was a sucker for punishment.
Dare
I had a routine.
Eat, work, sleep, repeat, only ever doing the bare minimum to keep up appearances.
I kept my circle small and my guard high.
I spent years making sure I didn’t repeat the mistakes of my past, forming an impenetrable layer of ice around my heart.
Then Logan showed up in my town, in my tattoo shop, testing my patience along with my self-control.
She was fire and I was ice.
I should’ve stayed away.
But I had been cold for far too long.

What the heck is it about Charleigh Rose’s writing?? I had only read the first stand alone in this series by her and then reread it before jumping into this book and both reads of Bad Habit flew by! Even the second one when I knew what was going to happen! So I jump into Bad Intentions last night, reading the first four chapters and then I wake up and my first thought when I open my eyes, is time to get a coffee and finish this book! That was 5 hours ago, with about 4 hours of reading time today. It is near impossible for me to put her books down! I thought maybe this book wouldn’t have the magic of the first book with all of it’s angst and this book isn’t heavy on the angst but it has a magic all of it’s own! This story is one of healing each other and learning to trust other while still finding yourself. It’s about family when you don’t have one to call your own and it’s just amazing. Again, I loved every word of this book just like I did with Bad Habit. I highly highly recommend checking out Bad Habit and Bad Intentions if you haven’t already! I have a feeling that this is going to be one of my go to/auto buy authors for as long as she is gracing me with her writing. For real, go get a coffee and one click the shit out of this author because you will not be disappointed!
I LOVED THIS BOOK. As a romance book fanatic, I love it when a book utterly captivates me and I CANNOT PUT IT DOWN. If I’m honest, it’s actually annoying because I stay up way too late reading “just one more chapter” and then I’m an utter zombie the next day
This was the first Charleigh Rose book I read and I picked it up after reading a Goodreads review- love that!
From the first page, I got sucked into Lo and Dare’s world. Logan (Lo) is a 21yo who’s had to grow up way beyond those 21 years given that her mom is junkie and she had her younger brother, Jess, to support. We meet her having just moved with her brother to a small town in Northern California to start over. I was freakin impressed with this girl. She loves her brother fierce and looks out for him beyond anything else. She wasn’t portrayed as a victim of circumstance but as a fighter just trying to get ahead.
She’s helped out big time by Dare, who by admission doesn’t like people and keeps to himself, but he finds himself looking out for Lo, defending and protecting Lo and ultimately loving Lo. Dare also has had to grow up fast and tare care of himself early in life so he’s not one to recognize love, but wow- I loved seeing him just go with his feelings for Lo and not fight it. And every action that this sexy tattoo artist took just made me fall harder and harder for him.
This story had just the right amount of drama to move the plot without it being distracting or gratuitous. I love authors who can create characters that just suck you in because they’re original and their dialogue just hits you right. And of course, their chemistry is just off the charts.
Neither Lo or Dare were looking for a relationship and yet neither could ignore the pull between them. They just seemed to fit. This really was a story about these two coming to find their soulmate. One has to learn that she can depend on and trust another and the other learns he can love and be loved in return. Such a great read that I HIGHLY recommend!
I loved everything about this book! Charleigh Rose has a way of writing that is crisp and clear and addictive. Her stories are full of emotion and heat and angst and Bad Intentions was no exception. Dare and Logan were perfect. The side characters were great. The book was a good quick pace that I was able to finish in one sitting. I can’t wait for more!
Where do I begin. I love this book. Once again Charleigh Rose knocked me off my feet. I loved ‘Bad Habit’ the first book in this series and could not wait to get my hands on this book. Dare & Logan are such complicated selfless individuals who desperately need someone and some happiness in their lives. Finding each other, overcoming all their personal baggage and getting their happily ever after was heart wrenching at times. By far one of the most touching scenes I’ve read in awhile was when Dare spoons Logan in bed; the first time in his life he ever experienced cuddling – it made me tear up. This.book.is.incredible. I can’t recommend it enough.
I’ll take Dare, please! Gah I love that man!! Really loved the story within these pages.
OMG! I loved this story! Lo and Dare had this great dynamic from the very beginning! They were so great to read about I didn’t want to put it down. Lo is in need of help and to everyone else Dare is the least likely to offer it. She takes a chance on him despite the bad reputation he has around town. I really enjoyed reading their story so much that I didn’t want it to end. Fantastic story! I think that everyone one needs to get into this one!!!
I have been having a hard time finding a book by this author that I really enjoy. I am happy to say that I really enjoyed Bad Intentions and I really loved the two main characters Dare and Logan. The story was really good and both characters have some serious baggage. Logan was a great character. I loved how much she cared about her brother and did everything in her power to protect and provide for him. They never had a lot, but she never let it stop her. Plus, Logan’s brother was so awesome. I loved him a lot despite how troubled he seemed every now and then. He was really a good kid. Dare was so broody at first, but holy hell I fell hard for this man. I loved how protective he was of Logan and all the things he did for her and her brother. The romance and chemistry between him and Logan was perfection.
My only issues with this book was that I felt that it ended a little abruptly. Dare’s past is kinda thrown in at the end and then the book is over. It gets resolved so suddenly like it was an afterthought instead of being something that constantly troubled him and worked through. Logan’s baggage is the main focus and while there were a lot of things messed up in her life they all kinda faded into the background. I kinda felt like I needed more closure between her and her dad and mother. There’s only one thing that gets wrapped up.
All in all I really liked this book. I felt the romance and the story. The characters were all great and lovable. Bad Intentions is a definite winner in my opinion.
I absolutely love it when I read a book that takes me by surprise…and this one sure did. I love Charleigh Rose’s books because they always provide a tough heroine, a sexy as sin hero, and some nitty gritty angst and passion. This book was no different, and it went to the next level.
Lo – this girl has been through the ringer. She is 21 going on 31 single-handedly taking care of her younger brother making sure he finishes high school, although she never did. I fell in love with her right away when she did not hold back back from flipping the bird to Dare upon their first meeting. She is stubborn, gorgeous, simple, loyal, and determined. I love her close relationship with her brother, Jess, and even though he is an older teen – he is open to showing her compassion, shedding a few tears, and getting deep with her and her new guy, Dare.
Oh Dare…how can you not fall in love with the brooding, quiet, mysterious, tattoo artist who is so misunderstood?!? This guy had me at “oh and welcome to River’s Edge” after blatantly telling Lo “there’s the door” a minute earlier. You just knew he had deep dark secrets, and was somehow already afraid of Lo uncovering them. The chemistry between these two was OFF THE CHARTS. This brooding man turns to mush under Lo’s spell and the things he does for her……ohhhhh myyyyy.
I absolutely loved how easy they fell together…from the stolen glances and sexual innuendo banter to their perfect coincidental Halloween costumes which made them a pair. They are both dark, deep, and need each other like nobody’s business. Dare’s immediate sense to protect Lo was so swoon-worthy; and this guy will shock you like no other as he continues to stand up for his girl and what’s important to her.
This book had me turning the pages faster than any other wanting more of Dare & Lo – their passion, needy sex life, and desire to constantly take care of each other – all while they uncover the truths about one another and face their crazed pasts. I am definitely looking forward to reading this one again and again….and the rest in the series. Well done once again Charleigh Rose!!
I was so impatiently waiting for this book ! Bad Intentions is one of the most anticipating reads this SPRING for me. Charleigh NEVER EVER dissapiont !!!!
Bad Intentions is this kind of book that I want to read all the time… You know that tiny girl can manage with everything and everyone … that even if she have hard life she can be proud for being good person and the most important thing? When there is good love in life, every bad boy can be the right one !
I know… my review isn’t long and beautifull however I can assure EVERYONE I write it from the bottom of my heart…. Besides no words could be worth to describe how good this book is.
Grab Your Copy Ladies and Gentelmen if You like – be prepared that Charleigh can steal hearts !
A story of two broken people who find themselves drawn to each other!
I could not put this book down once I started reading it. Both Lo and Dare are fighters and they are looking for a better life. Lo just recently moved in to town and needs a job to support herself and her younger brother. Dare refuses to hire her at his tattoo shop, Bad Intentions when she comes in looking for a job. They end up at the same party because of mutual friends and eventually Dare hires Lo because she has no other options. Even though they both try to fight the attraction they do inevitably get together. Dare has found his sun in Lo, but ghosts from his past haunt him and she might not be enough to keep him out of the dark. Lo is the kind of person that would do anything for her younger brother and she believes that no price is too high to give him a better life. She also believes that Dare was meant to be a part of that life no matter what she must do to bring him out of the darkness. Truly a tragically beautiful story and a definite must read.
Bad Intentions by Charleigh Rose is book Two in the Bad Love series. This is the story of Logan ‘Lo’ and Dare. This can be a standalone book from the first one if you wish to do so.
Lo has come to River’s Edge to get a new start for her and her brother. Dare is a loner who has his routine that doesn’t include falling in love. But the sparks couldn’t stop when they met, but can they move past their strong walls?
Enjoyed this book.
So good!! Love Dare and Logan all that sexy hotness, plus you get kind of addicted to the secondary characters in the story that you want to know more about them.
Okay so this is one of those books I stayed up until 2am to finish because I had to know the ending. I couldn’t read it fast enough.
I adored Lo. Absolutely adored her. She is fierce, brave and loyal, focused on her little brother and his happiness. This leaves her with no time for distractions – meaning I desperately wanted her to get the HEA she deserved!!
Into her life walks Dare, now he is just the kind of distraction she doesn’t need and exactly what she deserves. Ultimate BBF material for me. Brooding, damaged yet still a swooning gentleman wrapped up in a filthy tattooed package. Dare is Defuckinlicious!!!
Their chemistry is explosive but they both try to resist, I was ready to strangle them, dammit. Gimme the sexy times!! Warning – when they finally happen – the scenes between them might just cause your kindle to explode. Add in the pain both of them bring to the relationship from their past & you have an emotionally raw story. Angsty goodness at its best!
I loved catching up with other characters from the series and I can’t wait for more books from the Bad Intentions guys. Definitely recommend this one if you like your stories HAF but also jam packed with feels & swooning.
I found a new favorite author in Charleigh Rose! After reading Bad Habit I was beside myself with glee to read Dare’s story in Bad Intentions.
He’s hot, grumpy and closed off so you automatically know he’s a tomcat in the sack that plays hard to get. When he finds love, he is going to claim it. Own it even.
Lo was completely unexpected. Fiercely independent, no holds barred, does what she needs to get it done. Her softer side comes out in that she takes care of her younger brother and makes sure he has all the things she didn’t have. No matter the sacrifice.
When these two finally come together, pages go up in flames! You’ll be fanning yourself from the heat that consumes you.
Now each come with their own baggage but that just makes the story more suspenseful. Secrets come out, pasts come back to bite, it all comes to a head in the best way possible. If you have not read this series, you need to stop what your doing and get started immediately. Like right now. Go! (less)
When I’m reading Charleigh Rose’s work, I feel like I’m among friends. That is hard to do. Not many authors can make you feel like you can laugh and cry along with their characters. I only know of a few. Logan and Dare weren’t easy characters. They were easy characters to love but only we, as readers, knew this. The characters were the ones that had no clue.
Lo was a girl that I want to chill with. Family was everything to her. She did everything for her brother, Jesse. She jumped through hoops time and time again. Just for her brother… Lo didn’t have this woe is me attitude. She always put on her big girl panties and got business done. And Dare… everyone needs a Dare in their life. When a man like him chooses… well he didn’t choose…but when a man like him loves that is it. He does it. He doesn’t hold anything back. Dare always put Lo first without question. The light in his life began and ended with Lo.

This was sweeter than I expected, the writing captivating and sexy.
The characters intriguing and entertaining.
This was a fun read.
“Sometimes, it’s hard for me to come out of the darkness. But I’m trying.” “I’ll sit with you in the dark. I’m not a fan of the sun anyway,” she says, yawning. “You are the sun.”
Bad Intentions by Charleigh Rose
As always Charleigh Rose has written another emotional story that will have you flipping the pages. You will be glued to this book because you will want to know what happens. I enjoyed everything about this book. The broody characters, the emotions each of them had. One has a secret that he doesn’t want her to know. The other is having a hard time trusting. But as soon as these two drop their walls a love like no other blooms. Dare and Logan will make you hot and they will make your heart burst. Loved it!
Highly recommended.
Bad Intentions is my first Charleigh Rose novel and it was amazing. Told in dual point of view, this story will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride and have you hooked from start to end.
This novel had it all, complex well developed characters,an interesting storyline, steamy scenes, angst, and so much more. I loved Dare and Lo. Moody and mysterious Dare was a force to be reckoned with and in came Lo to complicate his life, although he was not complaining.
This page turner was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it.
