Nothing is taboo at the Fox Pit. Not even murder. It was an offer Pearl couldn’t refuse: $100,000 for a month of her time. But the penniless exotic dancer discovers the job isn’t as simple as it seems. She hasn’t been lured to the Fox Pit simply to be a high-paid escort. At the Fox Pit, women are caged playthings for the filthy rich. Here, women are owned. And Pearl’s new owners expect her to obey … expect her to obey every depraved command.Refusal means punishment, being sent away without a cent. But obedience comes with its own cost. Girls who do everything right are disappearing. The deeper Pearl delves into the Fox Pit’s mysteries, the darker the secrets she uncovers. And the more afraid she becomes. Afraid she’s missed something. Afraid she won’t find out the truth in time. Afraid the Fox Pit will leave her as broken as all the rest of its playthings. Bought is a harrowing mystery that contains sexual scenes and kinks some may find triggering. Reader discretion is advised.

Dark. Disturbing. Delicious. Logan Fox takes you through dark depths and insane highs. Rapture and revulsion all rolled into one. I was sore when I finished reading, I had gotten so tense.
Pearl was easy to love, despite losing patience with her once or twice when she didn’t take action as swiftly as I wanted her to. Seth broke my heart as did Gia. Annoying as hell, batshit crazy Gia… Her I loved too. There were so many great characters. Some were easy to love, some easy to hate, almost all of them surprising you at some point in the story.
It all still feels real as I write this, half wanting to look up news articles about the whole thing or find the documentary online. Despite having to stop and pick it back up a few times as life got in the way, I got pulled in completely again within a page or two. Not something every author can do. I am definitely going to read Hush Money too because I want to find out more about the girls, but damn, I think I need to let this sink in first. What a ride.
TWISTED DARK Rapture!
This crazy well executed read is an understatement to just say it’s TWISTED because it’s WTF, Shocking, Craziness with a shitt ton of TWISTED and a whole lot of Darkness. Call me crazy but I wanted to hate this read it left me feeling slightly unsettled but I rather like that aspect of it not to mention that every chance I got I was glued with a CRAZY fetish of my own…I couldn’t put it down. True to Logan’s nature of her brilliant writing this is Dark, Twisted with a crap ton of unexpectedness that keeps you on edge riding out the wild dark ride that has you enjoying the heat and repulsed at other times all while getting a severe case of whiplash at every twist and turn that kept me enraptured and eager to read more of her work.
The blurb was intriguing but the reality left me cold. It is an extreme rarity that I complain about a book being too long but at times this one seemed ENDLESS!!! If you are like me in the beginning the author’s elaborite descriptions will seem appealling but chaper after chapter of it had my own eyes rolling and sighs of boredom and frustration passing my lips. As for Pearl, the main character, my emotions bounced back and forth from just not caring, active dislike and you’ve got to be kidding me. I know that I was supposed to feel bad for her and occasionally I did. But nobody is going to get paid 100 grand for thirty days without earning every single cent of it, one way or another. She didn’t go into the situation totally clueless, even though sometimes I felt she acted like she did. The story was twisted, dark and yes, suspenseful. Unfortunately, I thought that it twaivered between being too much and yet, providing too little to be satisfying. The story went places I didn’t expect. I went in expecting an erotic, romantic suspense and it was that, but other elements were added that took things in other directions. I don’t know. Maybe it was just me, but this book simply didn’t work for me.
This book had way too many things going on with it. You think it’s a story about a girl who works in a dungeon as a slave, but then it turns into a murder mystery with ghosts. The author needed to pick one. The last book was one hodgepodge of a mess. Lots of blood and gore at the end that I can do without, honestly. Would I recommend? No.
Too much unexplained supernatural. Unrealistic characters.
Dark and intense with twists and turns you don’t see coming.
This book was really a strain on the emotions, so many complicated characters and so many dirty deeds. Nothing is as you think it will be and there are some pretty dark moments in this book.
Well written and absolutely no typos and grammar issues (woo hoo!). There were times when I could have happily kicked Pearl’s arse as I felt she was being a dick at times, as for Seth, well read the book and find out, it broke my heart. The selfish billionaires, well everyone has a tale to tell huh?
If you like a bit of darkness with your romance give this author a try, see past the slightly bazaar parts, after all does any of us know how our head will react to extreme stress?
If you can’t deal with uncomfortable situations and frankly some nasty moments then stop here and go no further. If you are happy to proceed then be prepared for some toe curling moments, tense and stomach churning times and a serious lack of sleep because you can’t put it down.
Just wow! I am blown away. This is a longer story and boy does it have you on the wild ride throughout the entire story. It has so much drama, suspense, mystery, and hot sexual encounters. It has a way about it that latches on and doesn’t let go. It is going to be taboo for some but if into darker ones this is a must read. I loved the characters and well they are developed. The storyline is fantastically different and it is just amazing how it all flows together. I am not sure about some of slightly poorer reviews on some other sites but the edition I read flow together beautifully. It is definitely worth reading reading and doesn’t disappoint.
ONE VERY DARK READ!!!
Not for the faint of heart. One action packed, hard hitting, fast paced, nailbiting, spine tingling, heart pounding, pulse racing, nerve racking, gut wretching, mind blowing, page turning thriller that demands your undivided attention and you follow willingly. All the twists, violence, sexual abuse, kinky fetishes, murder and missing people were just a small portion of the horror the female characters dealt with daily. If you’re into roll playing with extreme BDSM and depravity this is definitely a read you’d love. If not steer clear cause you won’t be able to handle it. I’m not sure what Logan used for inspiration but it took imense strength and fortitude to bring this bad boy to life. And she shows just how talented and committed to her work as here where she has to pull from deep down inside. But she totally nailed all the aspects that make this a killer read. I can only say if you need more information, you have to read this page turning terror to get the full flavor. Incredible job Logan, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
