Pastor Carson decides to stay at the ranch for a couple of days around Christmas with his twin girls. They are excited to be there and get away from home a little bit.
Penny asks him to keep an eye on her niece Lily for her. Lily is home from the service and having a little trouble because of a secret she knows. Penny wants Lily to take pictures of the dogs at the farm which are for rescue and pictures of Carson and the girls.
What Carson doesn’t know is that Lily is his late wife’s friend from the service. A really great book that I just could not put down.
The twins family Christmas
This book made me smile a lot due to the twin girls that the author so much life to. The little girls were so cute. The book also has dogs in it also, I loved what Lily said “ dogs are such a gift. They make everyone happy “. I quote made so much to me, I know that is definitely true in my life. Another part in the book, Lily takes in an older dog and that is so important thing to do.
The twins father is a widower who wife knew Lily in the service to service. There is something that Lily needs to tell Carson about his wife. Will she be able to tell him?
Also I really enjoyed the character called Long John that lived there at the ranch, just him and his dog. He really enjoyed the twins also. Of course, who wouldn’t. I definitely recommend this book.
I received the book from Harlequin reader service as part of my monthly books I subscribe to. I was not required to write an positive review or an review at all. I really enjoy the Love Inspired books.
This is book 2 in Lee Tobin McClain’s Redemption Ranch series but it can definitely be read as a stand alone. I didn’t read the first book but was able to dive right into the story and lives of the background characters who probably were crucial in the first book and make appearances in this book. There is also a free short story by the author on the publisher’s website that showcases another couple on Redemption Ranch which is a good read.
If you like a well-written heart-warming Christmas story about redemption, second chances, forgiveness and grace, this book is definitely for you. Lily, the heroine, is a vet turned photographer who is harboring a secret about Carson’s deceased wife. She is tough and level-headed but longs for connection and love and has a tragic family backstory. Carson is a small-town pastor with twin girls to mother and father. He is so real and down-to-earth and incredibly swoon-worthy as a man and a father but has issues that he needs to overcome from his disjointed and painful marriage. His twins add cuteness and fun to the plot while the author addresses some serious issues like suicide, addiction, mental illness, and help veterans need to find purpose and stable ground once they re-enter civilian life.
I’m not sure how many more books there will be in the series, but I can’t wait to read more about the residents in the small town of Esperanza Springs. I received a copy of the book from the author/publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
His Christmas book is about finding love after overcoming pain.
I loved the storyline, the wonderful characters, especially the adorable twins.
This book with a strong inspirational message is recommended for those who love Christian romance.
I have come to love Lee Tobin McClain’s writing. Her stories are smart, heartwarming, and real. She has dealt with some serious subjects in her stories, but in a very sensitive manner. In doing so, she has brought awareness to these issues in a way that enhances her stories without being heavy. Her characters are lovable, and before long, start to feel like friends. I cried, I laughed, I cheered them on. In The Twins’ Family Christmas, Carson and Lily must work through guilt and pain before they can give their hearts to each other. And twins Skye and Sunny, with their own distinct personalities, will win your heart very quickly. If you like stories that draw you into the hearts and minds of the characters, this one will do just that. I look forward to Lee’s next book!
I loved this book. The author really drew me into the lives of the characters. I loved Carson and Lily, as well as the twins. I think this book showed that we all tend to beat ourselves up over things that are not our fault. It also shows that while the truth may be hard to take, it can also lead to healing. This was a great Christmas story and I would recommend it
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a positive review.
Wonderful inspirational story. When Lily went to Redemption Ranch her life changes. Carson and the twins need time away from the hectic life they live. When Lily and Carson meet they are drawn to each other. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next to this special couple and the twins. The characters in this book are all very special people who you will enjoy reading about. You can feel God working throughout this whole book. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.
