I’m the first-born son of the mafia king. The favorite. Destined to rule, I’m a dangerous man, a ruthless one. But in my world, you have to be.
Then Natalie stumbles into my life. Wrong place. Wrong time.
Twice, fate put her in my path.
Twice, fate placed the innocent lamb at the mercy of the monster.
I gave her a chance to walk away. Told her it would be better for her if she did.
But she … for her if she did.
But she didn’t listen.
And now it’s too late.
Because I’m not good. I never wanted to be. And I won’t let her go anymore. See, I’m not the hero. When I touch her, it’s with dirty hands.
I know my reckoning is coming, though. I know I’ll burn for the things I’ve done, the sins I’ve committed. I don’t deny hell is where I belong, but I want my time first. I want my time with her.
She’s mine.
Forever.
No matter what.
Author’s Note: Sergio is a steamy standalone romance set in the Benedetti Brothers Mafia world. Themes are dark.

Sergio is a stand-alone, but if you have read Dominic and Salvatore you know ultimately what is in store for Sergio, but how that all plays out is where the magic happens. I don’t read a huge amount of Mafia romances, but when I do, they are almost certainly by Natasha Knight. She writes some of the best dark mafia romances published and Sergio may be my new favorite. Sergio and Natalie’s story is dark, gripping, emotional and heartbreaking. This is one of those books you’ll be hard pressed to put down, because is chapter is packed with suspense and an intensity that compels you to keep reading and flipping pages. I’m not sure how exactly Knight managed it, but Sergio manages to be both emotionally devastating and beautifully hopeful all at the same time. Sergio could definitely be considered a monster, but he had a huge capacity to love and protect people he cared about at the same time. The last serval chapters can only be described as epic and I found myself holding my breath at several points. Natasha Knight hit it far out of the park with this one.
This is book where it is hard to write a review for. Not because the book isn’t good, believe me it is a wonderful and, intense read, but because I don’t want to spoil anything.
If you read the other books in the Benedetti Brothers Mafia world, Salvatore and Dominic then you know how this story end. if you haven’t read them then you are in for a big surprise. You can read the book as a standalone.
Since I have read the other books I had an image of Sergio in my mind. We see him through his brothers eyes. They think of him as the perfect son, He is practically a saint, but Sergio in this book is a bit off an ass. And Sergio doesn’t think of himself as good. He has doubts and conflicted feelings and that is made even worse when he meets Natalie. Natalie changes everything for him. Her innocence and love.
One my favorite scenes is when Sergio is working on the family tree. It is very intense and explains a lot about Sergio and how he views life.
It is a very emotional book, but it also made me laugh quite a few times.
Sergio: A Dark Mafia Romance by Natasha Knight is the story of Sergio and Natalie.
Natalie had a problem with being clumsy and in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is how Sergio and Natalie first met when she accident was in a convince store when she was around 14 years old being rob and one of the bad men tried to rape her. Sergio saved her and took care of the bad men. Now 6 years later she was trying to get pictures for getting a internship and was caught in a deal that Sergio people were doing. Sergio knew he wanted her and couldn’t seem to let her go.
This book took you in from the start and I couldn’t not put it down until I finished it. I loved their story but did wish for a ending that would be the level of their love.
Overall enjoyed this book and hope to read more by Ms. Knight.
Sergio Benedetti is the firstborn son of a mafia king. He is the favourite and destined to rule. He is cold, cruel and unfeeling. He is also unforgiving, manipulative, powerful and damn sexy.
Natalie was in the wrong place at the wrong time twice in her life and in both instances, it led her to Sergio. This time, Sergio will not let her go. FOREVER. NO MATTER WHAT.
I needed to exhale a huge breath before writing this review. I think I was holding my breath anticipating something that was not going to happen. That couldn’t happen because the story had to be told this way. I’m shook. I also have a love/hate relationship with this book.
I LOVE IT! It was beautifully written and perfectly paced. It is intriguing, captivating and emotional. It is brilliant. A one of a kind read.
I HATE IT! (not really). It is gut wrenching and hard. It is bittersweet and I’m an emotional mess.
I listened to Sergio’s song, Darlin’ by Houndmouth, before I read this book and it set a mood. An overcast, a shadow, an omen. Almost like devastation was near.
The synopsis of this book had me all kinds of excited to read it.
Natasha’s foreword was gripping, almost a warning. For what, I did not know but I had a feeling this would be a dark read unlike any other. I felt anxious and ready for anything. I was wrong.
After the prologue, I was completely invested.
This book had me feeling dread, anticipation, excitement, love and so many other things. I knew this book was leading me somewhere. As it did, the tension and anticipation I felt kept mounting.
As for the conclusion, I was left speechless and confounded and emotionally wrung out.
Although the story has ended, I know this story and its characters will linger. This is a TRUE book hangover. It’s not pretty but it is a real and honest portrayal.
I can’t forget to thank Natasha Knight for breaking my heart so beautifully. It will never be the same.
This is not a traditional romance. It does not pretend to be. This is also NOT a story that you want told. This is a story that MUST be told. This book is for those of you that know love is not easy. That you must take care and savor every moment. To those who know if they’re lucky, they will meet and fall in love with that special one. That special one who will be THEIRS, FOREVER, NO MATTER WHAT.
I received this exquisite book as an ARC. All thoughts, feelings and opinions are my own.
5 (but SHOULD be a HUNDRED!!!) Stars
Oh Sergio, my heart is broken and I have to say I KNEW what would happen and yet, it STILL very nearly KILLED me!!! To say that I loved this book would be an understatement…it is not your typical romance. It CAN’T be but OMGAWD, the INTENSE, RAW, HEART-SHATTERING emotions!!! The TWISTED, EFFED-UP, yet somehow INTRIGUING storyline had me speeding toward the end of a book that left me in a daze, left me in awe, left me with a gaping whole where my heart USED to be!!!
I have to say that THIS book is Natasha Knight’s BEST, to date! It evokes sooooooo many emotions and is one of my TOP reads of 2018, so far! I CANNOT recommend this one highly enough….but, fair warning, you WILL UGLY cry!!! But it’s soooooo worth the journey! Trust that Natasha will bring you through this haunting, intense and UNFORGETTABLE not-quite-a-love story!
