I found myself totally engrossed in this book. Marco is governor of Tagra and Freya is a prisoner sent there after getting caught spying. This SciFi storyline is steamy and engaging.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A sweet story of a future where aliens with developped technologie invade earth.
These aliens have a society where females submit to man, they have slaves… In essence they live in earth past with technologie of the future.
The plot is good and also the characters.

Under Alien Law, Book 3. Earth female meets Vendu senator…will either come out unscathed?
When the Vendu invaded Earth, everything changed. Their vast Empire is legendary. They’ve destroyed and enslaved every race ever conquered…until Earth. Yes, they destroyed Earth’s status quo. But, despite their superior technology and physiology, the Vendu made peace, established diplomatic ties with Earth. Why? That’s always been the question. From their new colony (formerly Australia), the Vendu have been nothing but peaceful since the treaty was signed. But nothing concerning the Vendu is simple. Enter Paige Lester, soon-to-be college graduate, working at the Bow and Tie, a private club catering to very specific tastes. When Mayor Carl Nillson of New Phoenix shows up at the B&T with Vendu Senator Jamen Hosta in tow, Paige’s world is turned upside down. For the mayor and a Vendu senator to witness her need for domination could tank her career. The senator’s as hot as they come…copper skin, black eyes, black hair. When he shows up outside the B&T and invites her to dinner, Paige can’t say no. However, the evening doesn’t go quite as planned. Oh, there’s domination alright, complete with the spankings Paige adores. Jamen is so fascinated by the small human that he makes her an offer, one she can’t refuse. Return with him to Halos, the Vendu home world, and be his hanjin. Hanjin? What’s that? As Jamen explains, Paige is filled with both wonder and terror. No one from Earth has been to Halos. She’ll be the only Earthling there. And her role as an adjutant? There’s a whole LOT more involved than just paperwork! Soon Paige finds herself awakening from stasis to the stunning view of Halos. But are things ever that easy? Medical procedures, a new language, foreign customs, especially as they relate to sex and relationships…all soon take their toll on Paige. The one thing she has no trouble adjusting to? Her job. She excels at everything Jamen demands, and those demands can be pretty hot! Then trouble looms. The need for the Vendu to engage with Earth becomes clear. Halos is slowly dying. The Vendu have needs only the humans can provide. And there’s a segment of Vendu society that’s as xenophobic as they come! As the hanjin of a prominent senator, Paige is soon targeted. Worse, Paige has fallen for the gorgeous senator! The Vendu do NOT fall in love. Emotions are totally foreign to them. When Paige is put in mortal peril, will Jamen protect her? Does he even want to? Paige’s death seems imminent, and Jamen has decisions to make. Can a Vendu who knows nothing but regimented order, structure, stern discipline, and no emotions even begin to build a life with a human? Unlikely. And if not, Paige’s life could very well be over!
I love this series! The premise is 100% unique. This time around the story is set only partly on Earth. It’s Halos that takes center stage, and it’s absolutely amazing. Until now, we’ve only seen bits and pieces of Vendu life. Seeing Halos, experiencing the natural beauty, wonder, technology, and advancement, along with the corresponding environmental disasters, political machinations, and every possible segment of Vendu society, is beyond fascinating. Paige is enthralled with the newness, beauty, and contradictions of Vendu society. There’s so much wonder and so much misunderstanding. She’s simultaneously bewitched, bewildered, and completely confused. She’s as independent as they come. Despite her deep need for submission and domination, she’s absolutely no doormat! Jamen is a world unto himself. Seemingly self-contained, needing nothing and no one, prominent, accomplished, and wealthy, why is he so fascinated by Paige? Good question! You’ll need to read the book to find out. I loved both these characters. Ms. Peaches continues to get better and better with each book in this series. I adored Chosen by the Senator and can’t give it anything less than five stars. Congratulations, Ms. Peaches, on yet another outstanding installment in this series.
A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
