It’s up to Mab and Rowan to find a way to hold their threesome together despite the political minefields in their way. Can they do it by making it a foursome?
Princess Tabitha has been slave, Lady, and Consort. She never wanted more, but sometimes destiny makes your choices for you.
Don’t miss the exciting conclusion to Tabby’s story!
Queen is book four in the Dark(ish) Faerie Tale quadrilogy, and should be read in the correct order.

This is, sadly, the last part of the ‘quadrilogy’ telling the story of Queen Mab, her queen-to-be Tabby, prince Rowan, king-in-waiting, and his new bride, princess Ciara.
It starts with Rowan and Ciara’s wedding night. Queen Mab and Tabby are an integral part of the proceedings and it is during that night the foundations of the future relationship between those four are laid.
Framing the addictively sensual part of the foursome are their interactions with the people in their respektive realms and their personal growth resulting from them.
And that growth and change includes Mab the Queen and Mab the woman!
Finally, with a sweet and joyful epilog, Ms Blevins grants us a peek into the future of some of the reigning families of Faerie and it seems all is well in the land!
As I finished reading Queen Mab, I was left with both happiness and sadness, happy because things are brought to a conclusion and sad because we don’t get to keep reading about Queen Mab, Tabby and Rowan and his new wife.
What a great ending to the series, I absolutely enjoyed and might have held my breath and squirmed at certain scenes. Candace Blevins is the best at storytelling, she took us on quite a journey, the growth of these characters was enlightening. There are consequences for your actions.
The epilogue was one of the best I’ve read, made me have a big ‘ole happy sigh!
The books in the Dark(ish) series need to be read in order, Slave, Lady, Consort and Queen for the best enjoyment.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This whole series has been about the journeys we take in life to become our true selves. With Queen we watch Tabby go from Consort, to engaged to Queen Mab, and then married. Tabby struggles with these changes and Queen Mab has to remind her of her place and of her love. Rowan takes a wife and soon the trio becomes a delightful foursome that has mind blowing sexual encounters. Rowan has had a tough journey as well, from unruly, unrepentant adolescent to becoming a king worthy of the title. Queen Mab has journeyed herself in coming to love Tabby. After reading this series I find myself saying I need to handle certain situations Queen Mab style. I wish this series didn’t have to end. I will be rereading these books for sure.
I always eagerly anticipate a new release from Candace Blevins and it doesn’t seem to matter whether it’s one of her urban fantasies, paranormal romances, or her safeword series, each and every story is carefully crafted and delivers on content, character development, amazing backdrops, and plot. Every. Time.
“Queen” is the fourth story that exclusively takes place in the faerie realm and it’s another decadent treat. Having read many of Ms. Blevins books (not necessary for this series), I’m already familiar with the Winter Queen and it was with great delight (I might have squeed) when I found out she was getting her own story in all her wicked yumminess and this one was spread out into a quadrilogy for us lucky readers. In story 4, Mab and Tabby are getting ready to marry and all the royal wedding planning that goes along with it (and not even remotely close to Harry and Meghan unless you want to compare a beagle riding with Queen Elizabeth to Tabby’s wolves. Okay, I might have.). Prince Rowan has fully embraced all his princely responsibilities including a very pregnant princess. Every scene within this story is put together like a puzzle piece, each one bringing the picture slowly into focus until we get to the end. And that ending is superb.
What a grand finale to the fascinating and emotionally gripping fairy tale of a romance. The wonderfully strong, captivating characters pull readers into their story and hold them hostage until the very end. The romance is dark and somewhat sweet, but it is most unlike any other romance and full of surprising twist among all the scorching hot and passionate intimate scenes which leaves readers breathless. The love between Queen Mab and Tabby is a force to be reckoned with and readers can’t help but feel the intensity as they read all about it throughout the quadrilogy but in this final book, the duo is finally reaching for their happily ever after which is sweet but extra hot as Rowan and Ciara joins in to make a foursome proves that love is so much more. The plot is fast paced and keeps readers glued to the pages with all the hotness and emotionally gripping depth that readers have come to expect in this book series, while giving readers the inside track on a dark Queen’s ruling of her kingdom as she reaches for her HEA. In addition, this conclusion has an epic epilogue that gives readers a glimpse into the future which readers will especially like.
NOOOOOO – I want more!!!!! Seriously, I could read about these four forever and never get bored. It is the end of us having their story, but, I’m sure we’ll see them again. The story, it ended perfectly; the epilogue, it showed a glimpse into the future, and all is well, and exactly as expected
The story picks up where the previous one ended. Rowan and Ciara are married, and Mab and Tabby are joining them for their wedding night. Everything evolves from there, and in alternating view points. We get into the minds of Mab, Rowan, Tabby, and Ciara. You are never in doubt of whose viewpoint you are reading, it is clear from the thoughts, as each character is unique.
The myriad of relationships, going from a threesome, to a foursome made up of two twosome, is the crux of the book. Rowan and Ciara learn to be husband and wife. Tabby learns to deal with them being husband and wife, while growing close to Ciara. Mab oversees this all, while becoming closer to Ciara, and, preparing for her own wedding to Tabby. Rowan needs to prepare himself, and his wife, to rule as King and Queen someday, soon
The book ends with the marriage of Mab and Tabby, and it was emotional for them, and me as a reader. The epilogue takes us into the future, and we get to check in with our foursome, as well as the Dragon King and the Swan Queen. If I already wasn’t hooked on the stories set in this paranormal world, this would have drawn me in full force. As it is, I want to go back and stay there until the next story is told
See, Faerie Tales for grown ups are a wonderfully scary idea!
Its a beautiful ending to a great story !!! there is soo much to this 4th book, that you wouldn’t believe its possible to find something interesting to write about after such great 3 previous books.
But Candace did it and I loved every page of it.
The last book had me squealin’ like a teenager when my favorite couple made an appearance and I was so happy, but I need to talk to Candace about more books on that subject (or maybe just a “Candace romance” short novel for Christmas or sooner, I won’t mind !!! )
Tabby and Mab really do get their version of HEA and I loved every page of it and the books will definitely go into ma re-read list. Candace tested my limits, my taste, my comprehension of feeling going through someone in certain situations and even though I’ve been reading her for a while now, she blew my mind with this series !!! when rating Candace’s books, ALL sit on the first place !!!
read the book, read the series – you will definitely learn something.
