2018 Finalist in Digital Book World Awards, Children’s CategoryMost bad books look forward to hanging out at rummage sales. Not this bad book. Its goal is to be featured in the library’s Banned Books List. Problem is, no one seems to notice… until the book teams up with its boisterous readers. Together, the book and its readers shout, wiggle, and sing to get the attention of a local librarian. … librarian. Will this book see its cover on the library wall… or will it end up in the recycling bin? Full of bold, colorful graphics and laugh-out-loud humor, The Worst Book Ever is another colorful, graphical, high-lo book for reluctant readers by Beth Bacon. The meta-storytelling and interactive prompts get reluctant readers laughing, dancing, shouting—and reading. Ideal for read-alouds and story time, as well as independent reading for beginning to intermediate readers. Like Beth Bacon’s other books, I Hate Reading, The Book No One Wants To Read, and Blank Space, this book helps make reading fun.

I looooved this book, the kids absolutely adored it. It was funny, crazy and adorable. Would recommend 100%
My kids enjoyed this book and it would be a fun read for a library (or anyplace expected quiet) story time.
This will appeal to youngsters who don’t like to read.
This is billed as a book for reluctant readers to read by themselves but it has a number of really difficult words no beginning reader could read independently. That said, my grandson loved it. The “potty humor” was appealing enough that he kept reading despite his frustration.
Laugh out load funny!
Kids loved it
My daughter and I really enjoyed this book. It’s funny and captivating.
The book is educational
Cute book. My 7 year old enjoyed it.
This book is addicting…you want to keep reading it over and over using different voices and expressions. It reminds me of The Monster at the End of This Book starring Grover. There were a few words like notoriety that I don’t think a small child would understand but overall this is definitely a great interactive book for kids …. they will love the part where they are supposed to yell the words as loud as they can, and the part where they are supposed to jump around and flap their arms. Great book!!
