Let me start of with saying Dee Ellis where have you been hiding this whole time? I loved this book, the chemistry between Cage and Charli is there from the start and the way we’re brought into both of their minds makes it all the better. Who doesn’t enjoy a sexy as all *** fireman and then add in all that is Cage and HELLO! The fact that Charli is a woman with curves and is going after what she wants for herself makes me fall for her as well. Together these two are just unstoppable. Cannot wait to see what’s next from our sweet Dee Ellis.
I had previously bought and read the first edition of this book. It is pure romance with a lot of steam tastefully done. It seems as if Sara the head librarian and Deacon Cage’s dad knew Charli was the woman for Cage before he even met her. Maybe it was fate, maybe Sarah is really Charli’s fairy godmother. When Charli and Cage meet he knows she is the one. Charli knows it too but she holds back due to what her childhood fiancé did, the lies he told forcing her to be a widow without a wedding. Cage proved himself to be fully committed and did not let Charli run, he followed and brought her back home to the cottage that was his parents first home. This is a must read if you like long detailed romances.

Five alarm reading
Wow! My heart ached and then floated. Charlie and Cage are a slow burn but intense and high voltage emotion. I feel spent after reading their love journey. I laughed. I cried. I ached. I was delighted. A story that won’t leave my thoughts very soon. I want a Cage but…Shhh, don’t tell my Hubby
Cage is a firefighter and has been searching for a woman that is his ONE. However all he ends up with are badge bunnies. Charli came to Chicago for a fresh start and to find somewhere she felt she belonged. When she got the job at the library and then a place to stay it seemed like everything was finally going her way. Yet when she met Cage she tries to hide about her feelings from him. Running away from him every chance she gets. Cage knows that Charli is the one for him so he isn’t about to let her go. Will he be able to break down all the walls she’s built up around her heart?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Fire extinguisher needed to put out this blaze
Let it Burn is a sizzling and smokey hot reading experience. You had better find that fire extinguisher and keep it beside you before you open this book up on your Kindle or it will be burnt to ash.
Cage Cooper is a very sexy firefighter who has women throwing themselves at him and he happily catches them, but he never keeps them. He is looking for that one woman that will fit him and he has not found her yet.
Charli Dixon is a beautiful young woman who has moved to Chicago from her small hometown and also left her all of her family drama behind, or at least is going to try to. She has already gotten a job at the George library and through the library director, Sara, ends up renting a cottage from Deacon Cooper. Yep you got it right if you thought that Deacon is Cage’s father.
It is just a matter of time before Cage and Charli cross paths and it is game over for Cage. But he has to do a bit of wooing to get Charli to give in to the feelings that are between them. But once she does get that fire extinguisher pin pulled and start aiming the nozzle.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Cage is a playboy fireman who is looking for his special one. Charli moved to Chicago from her small hometown for a fresh start. From the moment Cage and Charli’s chemistry is hot from the start and only gets stronger the more time they spend together. Loved these two characters together and I rooted for them throughout the story. Great writing, believable characters and a great ending make this a great read. I look forward to reading the rest of the Ladder 17 series.
I absolutely loved Charli, the new to town curvy librarian, and Cage, the smokin’ hot fireman! Whew! The connection/chemistry between them is blazing hot and their story is so sweet. Charli has her fears but her attraction to Cage is too strong to ignore. Dee Ellis gave us everything in the book, humor, so much steam and sexual tension, drama, angst, love and fabulous characters.

This is a reissue of a book that has been around for a while and while I had it on my TBR pile I never got round to it and now I am kicking myself. This was a great book that kept me engaged and was a pleasure to read now going to read the other two books that have been on TBR for far to long
Cage Cooper is your typical hot Chicago firefighter he has a different buckle bunny attached to his side and his bed every night of the week but when he sees Charlie Dixon for the first time that will all change Charlie has just moved from Iowa she wants to right the world and have a new life with no responsibility and to disappear into a large city When Cage sets his sights on her this dirty talking firefighter is going to set her life on fire but will he be able to convince her he wants for ever
I fell for Charli and Cage hard! Cage is the ultimate man! He finds Charli and immediately knows he can’t let her go. It takes some convincing and some groveling at times for Charli to cave. But their chemistry is explosive from the beginning and I couldn’t get enough.

The chemistry between Cage and Charlie is explosive. He is looking for that woman that will complete him and until then he does one nights that is until Charlie comes into the picture. She is going all out to discover who she is and lives on her own terms. You have to love her independence and gumption! Has he found the love of his life and will Charlie put her past behind her to forge a future with Cage?

4.5 Stars…
I just read the updated, newly edited version on this book. The author has reduced page count by approximately 70 pages. I enjoyed rereading an revisiting the men of ladder 71. This is the first book in the Burn series. With the new edits, I found the book to flow better. In addition, I got to fall in love with Cage Cooper all over again. This book is still angsty and intense in a sexual manner. The intimate scenes are some of the hottest I’ve ever read. And Cage Cooper is at the top of my list for possessive, intense, dirty talking over-the-top hero. Each book in the Burn series is just as hot and sexy. I recommend this series as a great binge read. Since I just finished Let It Burn, I’ll be rereading the rest.
