I found the storyline well written and moved easily throughout the pages. The chemistry between them was undeniable and they connected well.

This is the 4th book I’ve read written by Jaime Russell; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This was my first read from this author and I enjoyed it very much. I will definitely be checking out the other books in this series.
I had a hard time with this story. I felt like I was missing parts of it or maybe I was misunderstanding it. Max, while sexy as sin, was hard to get a handle on. Reagan to. I like her but I did not completely understand her all the time. There is a lot of tragedy. There is a lot of past for both of them to overcome. There are well developed characters including all of the friends and family but there is also a LOT going on. I feel like I was really on a rollercoaster with this one.
Max came from a tortured background and never thought he would be able to settle down. Reagan lost her sister and her husband and was left raising their son. After brutality of their deaths and her divorce she just concentrated on work and Jonathan. Then Max happened. When Max met Reagan he realized things would never be the same. Good read

Max moves next door to Reagan. He’s afraid of relationships – she’s afraid of love. Yet they’re draw to each other like a moth to a flame. He’s in Miami because his sister moved when she married Cash. She and Cash are part of the same small circle of friends. This is a wonderful story. It could be read as a standalone and would be just fine. But the relationships and family issues will make much more sense if Love Me Like You Do is read first. Max’s family history with his birth parents is just so sad. And Reagan is raising her nephew, but not really moving forward in her life. These two broken people do this crazy dance that drives me nuts, pushing each other and then pulling back. But they somehow make it work for them. They have the most amazing friends who push them when they need it most. Need lots of tissues for this one, some sad tears, many happy ones.

This is the second book in the series and while it can be read on its own I think they are better if they are read in order. My heart just broke for Max and Reagan, what he saw and went through as a child and he losing her family the way she did leaves them both with baggage. You will definitely need the tissues for this one
This was so good. They met each other at the right time for the right reasons. It was so good that they met because they healed each other from past hurt. They were honest with each other about what they wanted from each other. That is why it worked.

Like the previous book in this series, this tale is full of angst. I understand both Max & Reagan had issues from their pasts which affected relationships & their behaviour but it did get a bit too much at times, even leading to quite childish behaviour on their parts. I could understand if it was an Na story but the characters are a bit older. I persevered as I wanted to know how it ended.
It needs to be edited to only include the necessary details. Somethings were brought up, like the neighbour, but it only turned out to be a secondary inclusion.

Meagan and Max both use their past to keep them from getting involved or having any type of relationships until they meet and do just that. Even though they try to resist, it is still what they want deep down. The journey to resolve these issues is heartbreaking and I cried quite a bit while reading this. It was a very good book and can’t wait to read more from this author. One of my favorites now!

2nd book shows the growth and improvement of the Author. The continuation of Cash and Abby’s story and the same great, damaged, and realistic characters as the first book makes this a great addition.
