Ashe was different. Broken. That’s what her pack had called her… She couldn’t shift after all. And with magic coursing through her veins she was an outcast. Years of pain, anger, and sadness had passed before she finally accepted her wicked life. That is until her cards revealed a truth that terrified her to the bone. Ashe and Cohen were bound together, one couldn’t live without the other. Two … other. Two souls as one. That was the truth her cards had revealed…
Cohen’s animal was cursed. A darkness lingered in his eyes – the telltale signs that a monster lurked within. He had moved away from his pack to protect them. To protect his brothers and more importantly, to protect her. The only time he had known calmness was when he was with her. Simply being in the presence of Ashe had brought a temporary peace to the demon inside him. Despite his intentions to protect her, being away from her for all those years only made his animal worse. Only made him worse.
Cohen longed to see her face and hear her soft voice again. But even more than that, he wanted to watch her as she moved, to feel her skin against his, and to hear her screaming his name – a lust that only she could sate. That’s why when Ashe had called him back to Stonefall he knew he couldn’t run any longer. Perhaps now it was time to face the truth that he ignored for all those years.
This is book 3 of The Outcast Bears series, however it can be read as a standalone!

The perfect ending to a wonderful series
I loved this book! The entire way through the series Cohen and Ashe were lead characters playing in the background. We knew they had history and they both were hurting, but we never knew exactly why. Their story slowly unfolds in this book until we see them reach their HEA. I love that the other couples are still prominent in this book and I really wish there would be another book after this one.
Cohen and Ashe
Cohen believes his animal is cursed and fears he cannot always control himself if he is surrounded by people or other shifters for long.
Ashe has been tormented by her pack all of her life because she cannot call forth her animal.
These two make quiet a pair. Read their story if you want to know how the healing began.
arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Ashe is part witch, seer and shifter .with Cohen now home and his beast out of control becoming alpha and knowing Ashe is his mate he starting to calm down but something else is coming for them all.Awesome
Cohen: The Outcast Bears Book 3 by Emilia Hartley is the final book of the series but can be read as a stand alone book. I really loved the way the book told the story of Cohen the oldest of the brother. I was excited to see who helped in the final resolution of Cohen’s fears. I was dazzled by the ending of the story and how it wrapped up three book ongoing plot line. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good story with an unexpected happy ever after ending.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I did read the prior book, Gage, but not the first book Archer. There were scenes that left me wondering as I hadn’t read the first book. At other portions of the book, I was extremely grateful for reading the second as I would have been completely lost. This was a good book but there really needs to be a warning that you need to start with the first book to completely understand the dynamics of the plot.
