A hockey-playing prince, a most improper lady, and one accidental pregnancy… When you’re an heir so spare that getting attacked by a shark is more likely than you ever wearing the crown, you’re only allowed certain liberties. Yet still, those liberties can bite you in the ass.Good thing I’m such a charming devil.Even then, I’ve been banished to America for a year under the pretense of playing … under the pretense of playing professional hockey while my father cleans up my latest mess. But trouble follows me wherever I go. Generally trouble of the beautiful female variety, and Gracie Diamonte is no exception. Or possibly, she’s the best exception.
Until the dinosaur suit. The cookie incident. And the accidental pregnancy.
Of course I’ll do the right thing.
Just as soon as I solve that pesky problem of my royal betrothal.
I’m about to be the biggest scandal to rock my country and there’s a good chance my father may throw me to the sharks after all. The funny thing is I’ve heard that raising children may not be so different from swimming with the sharks. So no matter how you look at things I am Royally Pucked.
Royally Pucked is a hilariously wrong romance between a spare heir and the lady least likely to ever wear a princess crown, complete with dirty cookies, an emotional support monkey, and lots of pucking around. This romantic comedy stands alone with no cheating, cliffhangers and ends happily with a family of…more than two.

This book had me rolling in laughter almost the entire time. It’s witty and comedic throughout. This book is about Manning, a viking royal prince that plays hockey and behaves like a playboy. Gracie Diamonte, a hardworking, down to earth baker from Alabama sets his world upside down! This book has great characters, lots of comedy, romance and plenty of steam!
I’ve got to say Pippa Grant is growing on me. I liked the first book but this one??? This one just blew me away.
I loved how Gracie found her courage in order to save Manning from a life she is sure would leave the ever-smiling prince without a smile on his face.
As for Manning – this man is a poster boy for PRINCE CHARMING. I was feeling his let’s say pain when there didn’t seem to be a way out of his predicament.
And let’s talk about his love for Gracie;
»Tell me to stop and I will, but by the stars, I will do whatever it takes to have you. If not tonight, tomorrow. The next day. The day after that. I will be the man you need, and by the heavens, I will have you.«
And when they finally admit how they feel for each other; PURE FRICKING BLISS<3
»What would you be If you didn't have to be a prince?« I whisper. His attention lift back to my eyes. i>»Yours!«
After finishing this I was so happy to see that fairytales still exist and I’m more than happy to believe in them.
Another great book from Pippa Grant.
I’m not going to lie. I was surprised when I liked Pippa Grant. I know, I know. Hush my mouth when I’m talking to you. I fully admit I was wrong, but when I first read the book descriptions I thought they would be nothing more than completely over the top ridiculous comedy. Don’t get me wrong, there are over the top hilarious moments, but there is so much more. Now, I am rushing to get my hands on them as soon as they are announced. I honestly think they get better and better with each and every book, and Royally Pucked is no exception.
When Gracie Diamonte meets Manning Frey, her life is turned upside down. Manning is spare to the spare to the spare (etc.) heir of Stolland, a small Viking country. Manning is currently exiled to the USA to play hockey while his family cleans up the scandal he created back home. While he is to be laying low before returning to his betrothed, Gracie seems to be more than he can resist. When Gracie is captivated by Manning, their paths are forever changed.
I love Gracie Diamonte. She is such a complex character. She is strong and vulnerable. She is scared and so brave. She has insecurities, but she doesn’t let them get in the way of her fierce loyalty to those she loves. She is wonderful and brought all the feels. She may be under constant scrutiny from her protective older sister, Joey “Fireball” Diamonte, but that doesn’t mean she is completely innocent. Between her unique bakery and her one night stand with the prince, she shows us that where there’s a will, there’s a way. However, the consequences of her fling with the prince are beyond anything she would’ve imagined.
Manning is layers upon layers of fascinating character. His constant smiling and easy going facade don’t even begin to scratch the surface of who he really is. Begin born royal, his life seems to be beyond his control. While he wants to fulfill his role for his family and his country, the pressure seems to be closing in on him. Allowing himself to take what he really wants with Gracie, just once, shouldn’t be asking too much, but it has the power to change his life forever.
I loved following Gracie and Manning through their journey. They were great characters individually and fantastic together. Pippa was able to make me laugh while bringing wonderful emotional moments with these characters. Her ability to balance comedy, romance, and strong emotional connections (romantic, friendly, and familial) continues to impress me. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
I received an advanced copy of this book with no expectations from or obligation to the author.
Another witty, wise-cracking group of characters & a monkey too! These books are such a fun break from the everyday grind. Well done!!!
Showers of fairy sparkles
I’ve got a huge girl crush on Gracie Diamonte. What an amazing heroine she is. Vulnerable, but so darn plucky. Full of bravado, and fiercely loyal to those she loves. Afraid, and brave. One of the most complex and delightfully endearing characters I’ve ever read. I loved her!
And Manning is the Prince, the man, that deserves such a special woman. So much more than he appears. When you dig beneath the surface smile, and the carefree demeanor, you see the weight he carries. For his family, his country, and Gracie.
Pippa Grant does it again. What a wonderful book!
What a great RomCom. The banter between the hockey playing Prince and the cookie baker from Goat’s Tit, Alabama is a just great. The author has written a funny storyline with perfect characters for the pets but trust me when I say it’s not all laughter and sunny days for sure.
Prince Manning is the Royal Family’s trouble child. He is always embarrassing his father the King and his knocking-up Gracie, the cookie baker, is not going to sit well. But Manning wants Gracie and the baby and not the life his family has planned out for him. As for Gracie, she doesn’t think she is good enough for the Prince and sets out to convince Manning she wants to raise the baby alone. But when the when the Royal Family arrives and families meet. Gracie decided to fight for herself and her man.
Does it work? Can Manning and Gracie find a way to be together and by the time all is said and done do they even want to be together or will they just co-parent across the miles? I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Ms Grant has truly written a dandy in my humble opinion. I highly recommend grabbing Royally Pucked today; you won’t be sorry you did.
Another great read in this series! I loved Mister McHottie (Chase and Bro) but Manning and Gracie are a definite contender for my favorite with them. These two are just perfect for each other and even though it took unforeseen circumstances to bring them together, I’m glad they found their HEA with each other. I felt so bad for Manning being forced into a marriage with someone who he didn’t love but also learning of the issues because that brought on the betrothal. This man deserved happiness. Gracie was so sweet and perfect you couldn’t help but love her. She had the air of an innocent young lady with the creativity of a dirty person. I loved it! Great read, great author! Looking forward to more!
4 Royal Pucks
I really enjoyed reading Manning’s story. There were a lot of unexpected happenings and WTF moments throughout the book. There were a few scenes that I was angry and didn’t think the book would end in HEA, but I read well into the night just to make sure Manning got his, since every prince deserves to be happy. I enjoyed every tear of laughter, and even the parts where I wanted to slap someone.
I mean how can I not love a book that starts off with a T-Rex costume and a hockey rink?
I definitely recommend this book.
