‘Love can either destroy you, or bring you back to life.Dom, Casa & Harlow 1992Casa only cares for two things in this life: his club—the Devil’s Highwaymen—and sex. That is until he meets Harlow. She’s feisty, passionate, and doesn’t fall for his usual charms. She’s perfect for him…but she belongs to someone else. Harlow is broken; she has been for a long time. With nowhere to go, and worse, … With nowhere to go, and worse, no one to go to, she’s become a clubslut for the West Side Bangers. That is until a chance meeting with her old friend and former lover, Dom, brings their worlds colliding together once more.
Dom is on a one-way train to hell; the guilt of losing his soulmate is killing him—but he can’t tell anyone about it. That is until he finds a brief respite from his suffering in the form of Harlow, the woman whose heart he once broke.
With all three set on their own self-destructive paths, they’ve only got one chance to make things right—but only if they can learn to forgive, and then to love again.
The funny thing about love is, it’s both painless and painful, and not even death can end the suffering.
What people are saying so far:
Please keep writing about bad boy bikers and the sassy women who tame them. You have a fan for life in me!
I love the men of the Devil’s Highway MC. The women who tame them are such spitfires that you can’t help but love them and pull for them.
A must read for anyone who loves MC romance books. Another hit out of the park.
I love this series! It’s a must read MC series that I would highly recommend.

“But I didn’t dream. I didn’t dream anymore. Dreams were for the childish ones that believed in happily ever afters and fairy tales where princes came to save them. Yeah, dreams had no place in my life.”
Ride or Die #2 is the second book in the Devil’s Highwaymen MC series and holy hell did Claire up it with this book! There’s romance, heartbreak, darkness, and healing. I was afraid going in to this because there are three main characters in this book and ya girl here isn’t one for a love triangle but I was surprised with how everything unfolded for each of these characters. You know what they say about making assumptions.. yeaaaaa. It’s true.
“Because I knew now that life wasn’t just about regrets and pain; it was about love and living. And I now knew love and I would do my living—maybe not in this life, but in the next.”
The characters in this book are all trying to find beauty through the pain that they’ve suffered. Dom, Harlow, and Casa have all had very different paths but to get where this story begins. Dom is trying to figure out and truly accept himself for who he is (if you’ve read the first book you’ll understand) and good god this ride was painful.. I really just wanted to go in to the book and give him a huge hug and protect him from everything but you can’t protect someone from themselves. Harlow was with Dom years before the book and has gotten so close to rock bottom and she really doesn’t know where to go, but her growth to have a strength within herself and to finally voice what she deserves was perfection.. Then there’s Casa. He uses his charm and looks to keep people at a distance, but when Harlow comes in to his world she just jumps over them without even realizing it. Such an amazing read! Can’t wait until the 3rd book comes out!!!
“The space inside my skull that was normally full of a thousand different things was empty, like she’d somehow quieted the world. Or maybe the world had just quieted down to hear what she had to say, because every time she spoke, I lost my train of thought.”
Book 2 in the Ride or Die Series, I found this easier to read, with a better flow than book 1 in the series. However Claire’s writing is again fantastic and the characters she uses as her main focus here are addictive and you can’t help but want to read more and more.
Going into this book I had heard a lot of people talking about Casa and how he swept them off their feet with his attitude and egotistical self assurance. So I was taken by surprise when for me my heart is all about Dom in this book! That man’s story just sung to me, he is vulnerable, grief stricken, unsure of what path he needs to take and well just broken. Using the heroine Harlow as a source of comfort that he has to navigate both their feelings through the fog of despair he is living in was a fascinating storyline for me. The actions Dom takes in the book, shocked me but immediately after my heart tore apart for him and that is all to do with Claire’s writing in this one moment in particular with Rose at the club, it was just all the things!!
Harlow the heroine is a sweet butt that was involved with Dom before he figured out woman aren’t his thing. When Dom finds her looking like a hot mess, and he is reeling after the loss of Butch he thinks he can rekindle what they had before, seeking comfort is his intention; but an act he couldn’t follow through on. He takes Harlow in knowing she has nowhere to go and tries to rekindle their relationship. So begins a tumultuous friendship of unresolved feelings and misguided anger. Harlow is sassy, but lonely and just wants someone to realise her worth and make her feel like she is worth loving too.
Casa a fellow brother to Dom, takes a liking to Harlow, as he does for any woman; however Harlow is fiesty and mouths off at him when she thinks he is a pledge not a patched in brother and this made for so many scenes that put a huge grin on my face. Casa has never had a woman stand up to him before or one who didn’t throw herself at his dick as soon as he looked their way, and as much as he tries to fight it he can’t get Harlow out of his mind.
Watching Casa and Harlow’s relationship blossom, despite Casa’s reluctance to be a one woman brother, made for an engaging read and the chemistry built with a steady pace and a chemistry that felt real and gave me all the ups and downs I love in a romance read. Add into the mix Dom and Casa coming to blows over a woman and their brotherhood on the line, things get very heated!
Dom’s growth throughout the novel gripped my heart, and at the end there was some level of acceptance and something developing that may heal the pieces of his broken heart, it left me craving for more of Dom’s story, he was more complex and more broken than I expected. Despite his actions throughout the book, I just couldn’t dislike him, there are so many elements to him and a goodness that hides under all the anger. I can’t wait to see him flourish and shine like he is meant to!
I look forward to whatever is to come in Book 3 because the storyline is upping the anty and I want to know so much more about so many of the other Devils Highwaymen Brothers.
Omg wow, after reading book 1 I couldn’t wait for book 2, now I really really need book 3 asap so hurry up claire lol.
Casa made me laugh so much, he’s cocky and arrogant but you can’t help but love him and wanna hit him . Harlow is a strong fearless woman I loved her and she don’t take much crap but still vulnerable at times. Dom oh god my heart broke for him so much, his love loss and struggles had me in tears.
This story unfolds beautifully.
Claire took me on an emotional rollercoaster with this, its gritty, intense, heartbraking
and at times funny.
Has loads of sexual chemistry, angst, raw love, violence and big bad sexy bikers.
