To make this wedding happen, Catalina will have to do the thing she fears most: use her magic. But she’s a Baylor and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for her sister’s happiness. Nevada will have her fairy tale wedding, even if Catalina has to tear the mansion apart brick by brick to get it done.

Nice ending to the series and a pleasant introduction to the new series featuring Catalina.
I love everything this partnership has written, and I have read all of them! I will continue to inhale and enjoy all that may be written, one of my favourite authors.
I super enjoyed Diamond Fire. It was fun to see the Hidden Legacy world through Catalina’s point of view and to see her come to terms with her magic while solving a bunch of twisty mysteries revolving around Nevada and Rogan’s wedding. It was a delicious fast read that left me longing for the next novel in the series.
A cute story with Nevada’s younger sister, the siren, leading the charge. Overall I liked the story and was sad to see it end so soon. The family dynamics and attempted murder kept me engaged. The story had more of a YA vibe than what is normal from the Author Lords team. Looking forward to more from this series!
Wedding of the century indeed. I’m so glad we got to spend time with Nevada’s sisters. Can’t wait for the next.
Everything I’ve ever read by Illona Andrews has been fantastic – the characters have depth and this particular Hidden Legacy series has more imagination, especially the magic, than I’ve seen in many books. I definitely recommend this whole series.
I love the family at the center of this book. This book provides a happy ending for a couple introduced in the first three books and a new start for other characters.
I love Ilona Andrews’s Hidden Legacy series, and this novella is a nice link between Nevada and Rogan’s story and Nevada’s sister’s upcoming book.
Well written, very enjoyable, except for the graphic and gratuitous sex scene that they seem to think they need to randomly put in every story.
Every Ilona Andrews series is great. Interesting and real characters, exciting challenges to overcome, and believable “other world” settings. This novella about Nevada Barr’s sister Catalina is a interesting read and good expansion of an important character in the main series.
This short novella is a fix for all of us Ilona Andrews junkies. We get just a taste of Nevada and Baylor, as the story revolves around the planning of their wedding, but it centers around her sister Catalina. Nevada goes through a few wedding planners so her sisters Catalina and Arabella decide to step in and take over. No worries about Nevada turning into Bridezilla, she doesn’t, but some of her tastes are a little questionable and there are a few wedding guests who’d rather not see her walk down the aisle. When a Rogan family heirloom goes missing, Catalina is hired to track it down before Nevada’s big day.
I have always wanted to see a little bit more of Catalina. As a Prime Siren, she has the power to enthrall and make anyone love her to the point of obsession. As Catalina investigates she has to go outside her comfort zone and use her skills as a Siren to get people to answer her questions. It was fascinating to see another side to Catalina as she explores her powers. She is obviously afraid but her love for her family makes her step up and solve this mystery. You could tell the author(s) had a lot of fun with this short story!
I LOVED the big reveal at the end of the story. As Catalina runs down the list of who did what, Nevada is described as leaning back in her chair and giving her sister a big thumbs up and a grin. You could just feel the pride and love. Yes, the Hidden Legacy series revolves around Rogan and Nevada, but the underlining theme is family, and the Baylor’s are the definition of that word. Of course, as this was a short story, you are left wanting more, more, more! I believe the next novel, also centering around Catalina, will be out sometime in 2019. As with all of the others, it will be well worth the wait!
It wasn’t long enough! I enjoyed seeing the magic society through different eyes.
A beginning and an ending seamlessly put together. We have the start of Catalina’s story and the end of Nevada’s. Catalina is tasked by Rogan’s mother to find a tiara that all the women in her family have worn on their wedding days. In the attempt Catalina must contend with a mini bridezilla (Nevada) lol, unruly and somewhat suspicious Rogan relatives, sabotage and her developing powers and responsibilities. I’m excited to see what’s in store next on Catalina’s journey.
Loved reading what came next in this world. This book made a nice bridge between Nevada and Catalina as it sets up the next phase. It was funny, but still had the emotional payout I’ve come associate with these authors’ books. I can’t wait to read more about Catalina and the Baylor family.
A different pov for the Hidden Legacy series, as Catalina is the main narrator in this tale of the intrigue surrounding Nevada’s and Connor’s wedding ceremony.

I was late to the party on this series, but once I found it, it consumed me. It’s one of those series that immediately after reading the first book, you run out, grab all of the rest and then read them back to back. After book three, I was worried that was it, that there wasn’t going to be anymore. Thankfully this book arrived full of good news!
It’s a Baylor/Rogan wedding, the biggest Prime event of the year, but when it comes to Nevada and Connor, nothing is ever simple and easy.
Bridezilla, aka Nevada, has run off the wedding planners with her changeable, demanding behavior and Mrs. Rogan’s long-estranged family has arrived from Spain bringing family drama and resentment for good measure. With all of the shenanigans that are threating to derail what should be one of the happiest days in their lives, Catalina steps in determined to make sure her sister’s happy day goes off without a hitch, even if she has to resort to using her powers to get it done.
A little bit epilogue to Nevada and Connor’s story and prequel to Catalina’s upcoming trilogy, this novella is a fast-paced, madcap mystery that showcases Catalina coming into her own. Told mostly from Catalina’s POV, we get peeks of a few of our favorite characters (Alessandro Sagredo!) while being introduced to a whole new side to Connor’s family. (Admittedly, keeping track of the new family members was a challenge but, thankfully, there was a family tree for handy reference at the beginning of the book.) I adored Catalina. Reading from her POV set a new fresh tone and has me excited to see where she is headed next.
If you haven’t read the Hidden Legacy series, I highly recommend it and this novella!
It was a wonderful read. I love these books as they are very engaging. Some of the names tripped me up, but fortunately there was a family tree at the beginning to help. Just wish it was longer. I want more!
Nevada and Rogan getting married was a highlight, but Nevada’s sister, Catalina gets the spotlight by playing detective/wedding planner, with mixed results. This is short and sassy, but so much fun! I’m so looking forward to future books in this series!
Diamond Fire is a novella set in the Hidden Legacy world. I was super excited to get Nevada and Rogan’s wedding story, and really enjoyed getting to learn more about Nevada’s sister Catalina. I will say I wish we had gotten a little bit more from Nevada’s point of view, but did love her sharing how she first met Rogan’s mother at the start of the book.
Catalina and her sister Arabella are forced to become the wedding planners/coordinators when Nevada pretty much can’t work with anyone else. When a Rogan family heirloom goes missing, Catalina makes it her main job to find it before the wedding. While Catalina had been a part of the Hidden Legacy series, she was more a supporting character and I felt like she just is starting to come into her own in Diamond Fire. I enjoyed seeing Catalina’s style of investigating, and seeing her explore her magic powers and how they could work to get the answers she needs. I felt like Nevada was more a fly by the seat of her pants investigator; Catalina tends to be methodical in her investigating.
I really enjoyed Diamond Fire and seeing Nevada and Rogan get their happily ever after. I also really loved getting to know Catalina more. I’m excited to read future Hidden Legacy novels from Catalina’s point of view and see her grow even more in her magic and as a character.
