This is the second book in this series, and is Hatch and DJ’s story. Hatch is the enforcer for his MC, and when DJ comes to the club with her daughter to visit her bestie Cara, there is an instant attraction there. Both of these characters are haunted by their pasts and need to work at overcoming their demons in order to have a relationship. These talented duo of authors’ have written a great story, which is emotional and humorous, and I was enthralled throughout and look forward to reading more off their work which I highly recommend for all MC lovers.
The way that this series flows, you NEED to read them in order. Hatchet starts after the happenings in Braxton. As such, we actually don’t get the juicy bits of when Hatch and DJ start their relationship, we get them after all that, right before they start to live together. This may be moving fast for DJ, but nothing has ever felt so right. Hatch has shown her what love is with his every action and how he is with Ralynn. But can their brand new relationship survive when all sorts of outside forces keep popping up?
This was a bit better than book one. Loads of action happening in this story, some things that happened seemed out of character for DJ but that’s just my feelings. There is so much going on in this story, that this series is turning out more soap opera style than I would like. On the plus side, I did figure it out: Chef and Chief are two people; and I chuckled a few times while reading this. I give this 3.5 stars.
Another Great one from Liberty Parker! Absolutely fell in love with Hatchet. Hatchet and DJ were two people burned by love in the past. Hatchet was let down by a woman he was in love with and now wants nothing to do with relationships. That is until he meets DJ and her daughter Raylnn, he falls for them both. We saw this play out in Braxton’s book. How can you not love and admire a man who loves your kid with no hesitation or questions asked? Hatchet is gruff, but underneath it all he is a big softy, he’s sweet, caring and super attentive. DJ is feisty and fierce but bubbly and cute. They go through a lot in a short period of time, and had a lot of changes happen, especially some unexpected surprises. This was a beautiful, bumpy ride to go on with these two and I enjoyed every twist, turn, romantic and steamy moment.
Okay I’ve never laugh so much while reading a book, this couple had me going from the get go, Laugh, Love, Passion, it has it all. A grown man afraid of a little pedicure, it was hilarious, will recommend and giving this book 5 stars.
I’m seeing a trend with these books.. Things move very fast in the Rebel Guardian world. Hatch and Donna Jo are seen a lot in book 1 but this is their chance to tell their story. Hatch is very good with DJ’s daughter and has a heart for children in general. He has an ex that hurt him bad but she was also holding a secret. There’s also that little issue with the Jensens and Starla. This is handled early in the book and I was just hoping for a little bit more drama. It was good but I wanted more hair pulling and punching. I mean she is a soon to be MC old lady, she had to defend her man. These two are madly in love and doesn’t let anything stand in their way. Every obstacle that is thrown their way is handled with care and understanding. The family of 3 becomes a whole lot bigger in this book and it handles foster care in a beautiful way… granted in real life, it could take a little longer to foster and adopt kids then it did in here. They are a remarkable couple who opened their hearts and doors to kids who need to feel loved.
YES! I am so glad I didn’t stop at bk 1! This story was much better. I felt for Hatchet and DJ. I could connect with them and that means a lot when i’m reading. I was able to feel with Hatchet the choice he had to make and felt the resolution in him once it was made! Dj had me feeling just what she did. It was a great story! Off to bk 3 I go!!
This book is everything that I want in an MC romance! It is full of love, bikers, and family! It picks up where book 1, Braxton, left off, so its best if you’ve read that one first!
DJ is a single mother, strong and loyal, and exactly what Hatch needs. Hatch is the Enforcer for the Rebel Guardians MC, and is everything good that a biker can be. He is protective, dependable, and knows what he wants. And he wants DJ.
Hatch is a big teddy bear, when it comes to DJ and her daughter! The way he treats them makes me melt! And DJ is so supportive of Hatch, even with everything that is thrown at them in this book, she really is perfect for him!
This book is full of surprises, and I was totally taken off guard several times (in a good way!) These two authors have really taken the best of both of their writing styles and meshed them together to produce an amazing MC story that both left me satisfied, and wanting more! I can’t wait to see what is in store for the Rebel Guardians in the next story!
