In the same way that Love Does has struck a deep chord with adults, kids will experience God in new and thrilling ways and see that living out our faith certainly isn’t boring! With this book, children will laugh, dream, and be inspired to make a difference for God, and they’ll learn to: take ownership of their mistakes and forgive others for their mistakes. never give up–no matter how scared … up–no matter how scared they are.
Kids everywhere will love Bob and Lindsey’s stories about how love does. With childlike faith, enthusiasm, and great whimsy, young hearts will feel instantly connected to a love that acts as much as it feels. Children will walk away with a sense of wonder at how great God is and will feel empowered to do things that will make a tangible difference in the world.
As a little boy with a big personality and even bigger dreams, Bob Goff had lots of questions, and they didn’t go away when he grew up. It wasn’t until he learned just how big and wild and wonderful God is that he began to find answers. Once Bob learned about the deep goodness of God, he began to learn about the great power God gives His kids when they live a life full of love for others.
Bob and Lindsey invite kids to get to know God better and to see the world as a place designed to be changed as we put our faith in action.

I received a copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion. That said, while I was reading the PDF version on my computer, both my teen and tween children read over my shoulder and made comments. We all three loved this beautifully written and illustrated book. It is both inspiring, encouraging and challenging and written for kids from ages two to ninety-two or more! Bob Goff is an incredibly talented author and a person you would want to listen to and work with as he shares love and joy wherever he goes. Illustrations provided by his daughter, Lindsay Goff Viducich are gorgeous and just as inviting as the stories they capture. This would be an excellent gift book for any library or home.
Bob Goff has written the sweetest children’s book based on his popular “Love Does” book. I have read ” Love Does” a couple times now, as well as “Everybody Always.” If you are at all familiar with Bob’s work, you’ll know you’re gonna love it from go!
Laughter, life lessons and adorable illustrations draw the readers ( both adults and kids!) into the stories Bob has curated and written in a style kiddos can embrace. He never talks down to the kids, just shares his experiences with life lessons and those who taught him along the way.
Charming, whimsical and encouraging, this book is a great gift for any kid on your list. You can also enjoy reading it together and it opens the doors to ask some good questions of our kids about how to live kindly with those around us.
I received a PDF advanced reader sneak peek of the first 5 chapters and chose to review. All opinions are my own. Thank you to Thomas Nelson books for the chance to read early!
This is an absolutely amazing book of vignettes for kids that teaches them how to love Jesus and others, in an active way. Bob Goff is an author, a lawyer and a layman who carries the actions of Jesus to the world. He helps those who cannot help themselves and this book encourages children to do the same. I really enjoyed the chapters about the new heart and the medals for Charlie. We all have a new heart and we all need medals. It was encouraging for me to read that God is cheering me on in my daily struggles in life, and I am confident that this book will be an encouragement for children. I recommend this book for ages six and up, and I highly recommend that parents read this book with their children so that the parents can discuss the chapters and the truth available there. It is important to apply truth, not just to know it, and that is the theme of this awesome book. LOVE DOES is all about doing for Jesus, even if you are only a child.
