This book was just like the others in the series, which was addictive and I couldn’t put it down. I loved how both Blaine & Vi founded the love of their lives in Bianca & Nikolai as they both totally deserve it after everything they’ve been through. This book was action packed from page one. I loved meeting the Elves while Ari, Kade, Kian & Shelly went into the Dark Fae’s land in the Otherworld and brought the fight directly to the Winter Queen & the Dark Fae to try and stop them before they brought the war to Manhattan as many of their people would be uselessly sl*ughtered all for the Winter Queen & Luca to gain power for themselves. Man all I can say is the Elves are completely bada*se with the strength in their magic. I loved reading the short Epilogue as it was a good place to end the series since it was really feel good as it was definitely needed after all the ups and downs that this series took me on. Queen Ari & King Kade are the rightful & deserving leaders of the Shifters. Ari could even rule the Winter Fae since it’s her birth right but you’ll have to read this book to see how it all plays out. I’d definitely recommend this book, series & both authors to anyone.
4.5
‘Queen Mecca’ is book four and the Finale in the co-authored series NYC Mecca by Leia Stone and Jaymin Eve. This is the finale for this series, books 1-3 must be read prior, everything is coming to its conclusion. I have loved reading this series and now I’m sad to leave NYC and all the shifters I’ve come to grow and love.
After getting her crown back and the wolves and bears agreeing to work together. Ariannas short moment of peace is ruined with the fear of the Winter Queen and Demons coming to Earth. New powers, new enemies, new troubles and issues, how’s a Wolf supposed to enjoy her mate and life if there is always something new coming up.
OMG!!! Where do I start, this book had all the feels, so much happening. I’m so happy with the way this series ended, but I’m also so very sad it has ended. I’ve loved every moment following Ari, Kade and the rest of the guys, I feel like I’m part of the pack.
It is so hard to write this review as I don’t want to give away spoilers and ruin the roller coaster you are about to embark. If there is one thing that I can say with certainty is you must get this series and read it, go now READ it you will not be disappointed.

Queen Mecca (NYC Mecca Series Book 4)
This was an excellent finale to this series! The briefly mentioned ‘Dark Fae Lord’ is in this book in quite a big way. With a scary find from the late Red Queen’s bed chamber, it sets Ari & Kade on a path that they may not survive!! In preparation for the coming war the children, all heirs, non combatants & core shifters, that both the Queen & King feel could help train new Royalty if they were to fall, as well as keep the shifter traditions alive, are all evacuated to California! It’s heart breaking but necessary
Wow, this was an action packed, roller coaster of a story! I loved how Ari & Kade always tried to grab a little time together, no matter how brief, just to touch base with each other & remember exactly what they were fighting to save!! I adored the epilogue This was a wonderful series

I wish it wouldn’t have ended, great story!
Well what I drug out for far longer than I intended too. I loved the start of this series the whole though, I waited for the next book to be released. Then when Queen Mecca finally it my kindle I kept putting it off. I didn’t want to be let down. It seems to be the theme for me this years the final books seem to not believing up to their previous leg of the series.
Sadly this book did not break that cycle.
When we first met Arianna in book one she was training to become a fierce Queen, She was strong and powerful and held her own ground while protecting those she cared most for, but by the time book 4 has come around she seems so consumed by her relationship that with every action she decided is necessary to take to win the war it seems to stem around Kade and their relationship. I get that they are trying to merge not just their two worlds but now the world of Fae also, but it no longer seemed that Ari was able to stand on her own two feet.
I was disappointed that this series seemed to be more than the romance and lacking on the action that seemed to be built up through the other books.
I also found the new cover to be off-putting. The character look stiff with each other. They are supposed to be madly in love, but it seems as though they are having an awkward 6th grade slow dance. I do however think the remake of the covers for book 1-3 are remarkable.
The plot still while thicken just enough to keep me reading and wanting a conclusion was dry. The connections seemed arbitrary. It felt like an ending to series I had never read. I found the use of magic (Dark, Mecca, Fae) to be used to the fullest potential and was really the driving force behind the story. Which was both a good and bad aspect. Good because it kept things moving but bad because it seemed be the only factor linking the works.
It just didn’t cut it for me.
Queen Mecca by Jaymin Eve and Leia Stone a five-star read that fulfils a journey. This is the fourth and final book in the NYC Mecca series and it completes the series in such a manner that you will have a full heart but it will also be a little heavy. It was so nice seeing the end, four books were the perfect length some series go on and can drag a little, but this one ended on a high. I will admit I am sad that it’s over, Ari and her Bear Kade will always have a special place in my heart. This was such a great series the battles that the Wolves and Bears faced apart and then together were some great scenes and the love and passion on the pages made you happy to be alive, not just the love and passion between Ari and Kade but also the love between all of the main characters.
This is such a great series, one of the best shifter series ever written, I have total fan girl down moments whenever I see anything by them is being released I know a good read is coming. Thank you both for a series that I won’t forget these characters have become a part of me and I’m so glad you wrote this story. Once again thank you both.
