A scifi alien romance with fated mates on an aphrodisiac planet I’ve crash landed on a sex planet with my worst enemy. He’s a brooding, gold alien–a commander who destroyed my ship and half my crew. I should want to kill him. But everything on this planet is an aphrodisiac. So I just want to have him. Now. “Revenge–that’s all he wants with me. He’s hated humans for more than a century, ever … me. He’s hated humans for more than a century, ever since we tried to destroy his kind.”
I’m the last person he should want, but the desire the sex planet stokes in both of us is eating us alive. Resisting his hands, his mouth, and his vampiric fangs proves impossible. I can’t help begging him to touch me.
I have no idea what endless sex with his kind will do to me, but there are rumors. I have to get off this planet before I find out if it’s true–before he makes me his mate. For life.

Whew! What a ride! Toxic Desire was absolutely fun and full of sexy escapism, which is what I really wanted in my reading experience. Take a heartthrob alien and a badass human heroine, toss in some interplanetary adventure and an environment that makes people ravenous for sex, and you’ve got one hell of a romp. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
I devoured this book in one night – it was fantastic! Robin Lovett’s world building was complex and unique, and her characters’ struggles felt real and nuanced. I can’t wait for more Planet of Desire books!
This “alien” romance (that’s right…I said alien!) is EVERYTHING. It’s so so GOOD. The h/h are enemies that crash land on a planet that is swimming with some kind of crazy aphrodisiac in the atmosphere … in the water … in the vegetation. It’s everywhere and it makes these sworn enemies mindlessly hot for each other. It is crazypants GOOD!
Nemona meets Oten when he and his crew come aboard her ship and cause it to crash land on the planet Fyrian. The planet exudes a substance that causes them to be sexually stimulated almost constantly. Lots of misunderstandings ensue before Oten understands that Nemona is not his enemy. I’ll let you read the book to find out how it ends. This is definitely an adult novel.
Of you like this type of read you will like this. Just thought it could have had a little more to the story.
They’re supposed to be enemies, but when a tough heroine and a super-sexy alien are stranded on a planet where their explosive chemistry is impossible to ignore, the result is an out of this world sci-fi romance that’s impossible to put down.
The story starts off at a fast pace and action that leaves you hoping it stays that way.
Our characters end up stranded on a planet that neither of them know much about….. General Nemona believing that her entire crew may be dead, and her very important mission has been lost, has nothing to lose, but she wants to know how the ship she commanded was boarded undetected and how the hell she will get off this planet.
Commander Oten only wants to wipe the human race off the face of the universe, they have been systematically trying to do that to his race for decades. So after destroying this humans ship, he looks forward in torturing this general for more information, what a big surprise he gets when the “male” turns into a female !!! He can’t understand his reaction to this “human” it has to be the planets atmosphere turning his brain into mush, but his reaction to her may start the bonding process and that’s not going to happen.
And is there a lot of sex in this book. When they’re not only spending time trekking through this new planet they are at it
I felt it a little hard to believe that you hate someone THAT much, but after being on the planet for a short while, your willing or desperate enough to have endless sex with an enemy that only hours ago you had a blaster aimed at their chest !!
I understand that the author wants to set the scene for more books, but to be honest I’d like a little more of the characters and less of them at it.
The book doesn’t leave on a cliff-hanger, but it leaves it open for the next book.
So if you like plenty of erotica then this is probably a book you’ll enjoy
This book is bananas and I loved every word. Sci-fi/alien romance with a human female and alien male. They land on a planet where the air . . . wait for it . . . is an aphrodisiac. I couldn’t put it down! Highly recommend for a light and bonkers read.
A super sexy enemies-to-lovers sci-fi romance!
This was an interesting take on an alien and human interaction!
Oten and Nemona are bitter enemies or at least this is what they have grown up with and the stories have told. In the heat of battle the two of them find themselves on a new planet and are forced to survive. What they didn’t know is the planet has almost a mating effect where after a certain amount of time, a person will succumb to lust and must find an outlet. These two bitter enemies are forced to find relief in each other. But in doing so, they begin to realize that maybe they’re not enemies like they once thought.
While I did find this book interesting, my only complaint was personally there was too much sexy times. I started to skim those parts. I think the plot was fun and interesting and I would be very interested to find out about the secondary characters.
