Zee Mahan had always known the boy she loved would leave one day–Whiskey River was too small to hold the talent and charisma of Jamie Templeton forever. She just didn’t realize that when he left, it would break her hometown heart. Jamie had never lied to Zee about his plans, and when he’d left for the bright lights—and made it big—he’d thought she understood. She’d loved him and his music and had … music and had encouraged him to chase his dream. Sure, he could have gone home for a visit, but when his band caught fire, he was afraid to interrupt their momentum.
When the crazy world he was living in turned on him, Jamie walked away—back to the only place he could think of to go….home. But was it too late to find forgiveness and rekindle the fire with the only woman he’d ever loved?

I liked this book so much read it again. I rushed through it the first time, so I just had to go over it and savor it for what it was. a spectacular book.
I loved reading about this love story. The way they were together as kids, how they fell apart and most importantly how they came back together was an inspiration.
Great great book! Must read
It was a good read and made me want to read more of this author’s books.
so-so
Wasn’t a book that kept my attention. Characters were to sweet and unrealistic to me
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very likable.
refreshing
Perfect Whiskey River. A not so perfect way to come home but perfect for the characters.
A Rockstar that longs for his first love he left behind to pursue his career. The hometown girl who never stopped loving him. Both having suffered losses at a young age and having leaned on each other. Two hearts that reunite and a story that captures your heart. A truly wonderful read!
First let me say this is the third book in the series and i for one have not read books 1 or 2. I do plan to read them and re-read this book again. That being said I really liked this book. Not having read the other books I did not feel left out. The Author, Justine Davis made sure that we knew enough to keep the story moving and us informed. This book starts off in a hospital waiting room. Then it moves to a case of mistaken identity. Well, Zee made a mistake and boy was she happy when she discovered her mistake was wrong. The man she loved and allowed to leave her life to follow his dream was home. But for how long and why. This is a second chance romance that keep me glued to the pages from the start to the end. And like I said earlier it is one i plan to re-read after reading the other books in this series as well.
