I thought I was signing up for a luxury retreat on a lonely, windswept island. I didn’t realize that I would be the only guest of three sexy demons hungering for a mate…Social media addict Edie can’t remember when she last spent time in the sun or hung out with anyone but her geeky roommates. The curated life of her feed is so much better than reality. But after getting trolled by an online … trolled by an online creep, she’s determined to detox. Her summer vacation spot has no phone service or internet–just ocean views and the old-fashioned charm of Marchcliff Manor–plus, three smoking hot guys that weren’t listed on the brochure.
Scholarly Alister, rugged Van, brooding Dante: ferociously protective demons who can take monstrous forms and offer unimaginable pleasures…with a catch. They’re cursed, bound to protect the island unless they can find a bride strong enough to handle more than her fair share of sexy supernatural men and surrender her human life.
Well, the love of three demons might be just the thing to distract a girl from the internet, and the ferry won’t return for two weeks. Edie will have to decide…is a human life worth keeping if you barely had one to begin with?
Tempted by Demons is a standalone reverse harem romance with plenty of steam on the way to happily ever after.

First point; yay for the sisterhood! I freaking love girlfriends and I don’t see much of them from most reverse harem reads. Nicole and Dakota are both funny and awesome friends. I’m not sure if this will be a series of standalone books but if it indeed is, both women deserve their harems, too!
Second point; this one is an amazing diversity of interesting genres. Romance, comedy, fantasy, paranormal…man, the author plays well with her choices. Though I may be saying this in such a light way, I assure you all that as a first read from her, I am in awe of her creativity. I have laughed out, I have felt frustration, sadness, thrill…I have fallen in love. How can such a standalone contain this much? /mindblown
Third point; in correlation to the genre, the writing and pacing and world-building is impressive, too!!! My interest is steady throughout the whole ride.
Fourth point; the heroine. The only thing I have in common with her is the fact that we both can’t last a day without using the internet lmao. I am at least sympathetic to her at that point. But with that said, I am still frustrated with her the first time. Hear me out. The very little free time I have, I often waste dilly-dallying on the internet. But, I’m not really big on the whole post everything/every pic I have thingy for everyone to nitpick or whatsoever. And Edie absolutely has got it bad.
Plus, my home’s from an archipelago ish country so all those island stuffs feels familiar and dear to me. So if I have been on the heroine’s shoes…there will be no story at all (i.e. exposition, rising action, climax, falling action) because it will be…bam happy ending! Gets? LMAO.
Thus, her difference and her reluctance from the start kind of built the plot. And in the end, she has won me over. She’s courageous to decide to tell her friends the truth. Also, with all her talk about peeing, I rather find her brave to fight for her guys.
Fifth point; THAT SATISFACTION. I love the fact that the author is generous to include a slice of that post happy-ever-after chapter. Reverse harem and family and babies? Just how cute is that?!?!
Edited to add my sixth point; when Edie has brought some of her guys to DC. I applaud that great and practical thinking. She wants to experience mundane stuffs with the guys to finally determine if they will still all tolerate one another at the end of the day. She knows that she might be just riding high on the island’s magic. I love an intellectual.
Meet Edie a social media guru that really needs a break from basically the Internet or I guess you could day the modern world. Just as she gets fed up she receives a brochure in the mail for what sounds like a great vacation spot that is totally unplugged. Edie decides to go but is unaware that she is really being recruited by three demons that are caretakers to the island that need a wife to keep it safe. They have to feel her out before telling too many secrets and of course Edie has to detox. The evolution was great as the story kept building and I really enjoyed how the tidbits are all spread out instead of hitting us all at once. There is some great relationship building going on as well as enough suspense to keep you hooked in between the steaminess. The “wedding ceremony” was just great with some real creativity I must say. While I love this as the stand alone that it is I am really hoping that she decides to go back to this world again as the two friends need some love as well. If you enjoy well written fantasy reverse harem novels then you should really give this one a try. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
