The Red Heeled Rebels series is turning out better than I could have imagined. I think that’s because each book grows up with the protagonist in much the way Harry Potter books got more sophisticated as he grew up. The prequel and the first book are definitely aimed at a younger crowd; they would be suitable for young teen girls giving them a gentle look at the world in which they live. That world is not a very nice one. A young girl, growing up in a loving family, cannot begin to imagine how that world might change if she was suddenly orphaned.
ABDUCTED is more a new adult novel than a young adult novel. The language is a bit grittier and the dangers are more clearly defined. Alongside the dark side of life are snippets of fairytale princess, moments of life as it should be. It is pretty amazing to read how a friendship family can form in a matter of days under some pretty dire circumstances.
The story of the red-heeled rebels relies heavily on a certain naivete voiced by Asha as she moves from situation to situation. She entertains thoughts that I, as an adult, see as moving the story along in a way that feels superficial. However, her naivete is well balanced by other characters who have experienced first-hand the horrors life has to offer. Overall, this approach works well in getting the point across that we live in a dangerous world, and in dangerous times. This series presents a warning to girls that their vulnerabilities can be and are exploited by the real life monsters around us.
The terror continues
Poignant and heart wrenching but at the same time exciting, thrilling edge of your seat unputdownable
Binge-worthyYou are hooked as soon as you start reading…
Very anxious to read more . . .
Next please – preferably without blasphemy More and more difficult to put down . . .
Sadly, loses 1* for abusing the Holy Name of Almighty GOD
Loved this book as well. The adventures continue. I love all the books in this series.
This is a riveting story about a girl getting kidnapped and her friend trying to save her from a terrible thing …along the way they meet others and eventually the become friends ..it will keep you reading and wanting more !
Holy smokes! Well done! So I got this book as an ARC and seen it was part of a series. I decided to go back and read the first book which I then learned there was a prequel, of course back to that I go. I am SO glad I did. Going back to ‘Beginnings’ just makes this whole story around Asha that much more amazing and appreciative of her character. You can read this book and find it as a great adventure of a girl who goes in search for her best friend as she is abducted out of the London airport which they are in as they are running away from their bosses/drug dealers. I found this book both compelling once you started it and heartbreaking on the eye opening experiences that Asha and her new friends encounter in trying to get away from slavery, drug dealers and a sex ring. Asha is also trying to get back to her cousin Preeti and reunite with the only blood family she has left.
I have never read a book that explores all the dark and dangerous topics of this world in such a well written and intriguing way before. Once you pick this book or even this series, prepare to unplug from the your world and step into Asha’s, she will take you along on her crazy adventures that she calls life. I cannot wait for Exiled – Book 3 to see who Asha meets and all the adventures that befall her.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an ARC for Hidden Gems.
Asha and Katy arrive in England and Katy gets kidnapped at the airport. Asha needs to find her friend and help her. Asha arrives at the place she and others are being held. She forms an alliance with Tetyana, Luc and Win, all abused. They escape and are on the run. This novel is a page turning thriller. I did not want to stop reading until I finished.
This is my first time reading anything by this author, I chose to read this book as I liked the blurb. This is a steady but fast paced story that easily lived up to the blurb. I found the book had plenty of mystery and suspense to it and was a good enjoyable read.

She’s done it again. I am so glad I got to read this book. What have I learned? Perseverance is key in life. Family can be anyone, not just those you are born to.
A terrific book! This story grabs you at the very beginning and doesn’t let go. Asha’s story continues as she goes back to Goa to rescue her cousin. As her and her friends search, Kate is abducted. Now, she must find Kate and continue with the rescue mission. This is an edge of your seat thriller, that’s brilliantly plotted, action packed, and utterly riveting. I enjoyed every word and am looking forward to reading the next book.

Very exciting and interesting book!
Asha and Katy have known each other since their childhood. They have survived through so much together, but keep persevering forward. They are Inseparatable! I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out what happens next to these two very brave ,and strong characters. After Katy is abducted at the London airport. Asha follows her trail till she finds her with this horrific group of men. They are involved in human trafficking, prostitution and drug smuggling . Asha and Katy travel from London and all over Europe. This story has some very intense moments of cruelty, unfortunately this happens in our world today. Thank you to the Author for sharing this story. Another gripping page turner!
This book is one of the best crime books I’ve read. The author has done a wonderful job of writing a sensational story.
First, I Highly recommend you start with Beginnings, then Disowned before reading this one. I like books that can standalone but having read them in order I believe I would not have enjoyed them as much. I read it in almost a day.
This series is so good that I plan to buy them and share with other people.
It continues to make me angry that this is happening to young females allover the world. It makes you question have far has our world really come that the topics in the book still happen.
I know that I cannot wait for the next one. I have questions I want answered as to what happens. Such as is the Dragon Lady who she appears to be? Do the Red Heeled Rebels end up doing what I think they proved to themselves in this book as their future? And many More
