…a beautiful love story… — Joyce W. I say I’ve set out on an adventure, but I’m lying. Deep down, I know the truth. I’m running. From my past. From my future. From everything. When I meet Frank Wilde, a man whose dark eyes and chiseled abs would be intimidating if it weren’t for his soul-searing smile, I know I should keep on running. There’s nothing but disaster waiting for me with a man … disaster waiting for me with a man like him, a man who makes me feel like I mean more than one passion filled night of sweaty bodies and tangled sheets.
For the first time in my life, I stick around. Bit by bit, touch by touch, kiss by kiss, Frank shows me what it means to trust someone with my deepest secrets and purest truths.
But when his past comes back to haunt us, I realize I’m not the only one fighting demons and I might have been better off if I’d just kept running after all…
Come Home To Me is a standalone contemporary romance. Character driven. Emotional. Honest.

Sarah is fighting the demons of her past. She was supposed to be heading home to attend her brother’s wedding but instead headed west. She’s calling it an adventure but she’s really running as fast as she can. After a car accident in Denver, she has to find a job to pay for car repairs.
Frank is fighting his own demons. He constantly fights the urge to drink but actually thinks he’s conquered it. He also has a problem with pride & ego. If he wants something, he feels he deserves it no matter what rules it breaks.
Can Sarah & Frank find their way stay together? From the moment they met, they’ve been drawn to each other. Their attraction is intense & all consuming.
This was an emotionally charged story with characters that are each broken in their own way. They fight not only to deal with their own issues but also to be there for each other. Sarah has to deal with her past & her family while Frank has to deal with his drinking & a stalker at work. This is not an easy book but does tell a story that needs told.
Once again Abby Brooks blows me away. From the opening pages to the very last one this book was fabulous. Readers cannot help but fall in love with both Sarah and Frank. Their emotional journey of finding inner strength and allowing forgiveness was wrapped around beautifully written characters. What a perfect was to end the series.
4,5*
When I’ve read the blurb I thought this sounds like a fun read – and what a read it was. My first book in the series and I’m sitting here thinking HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???
These two were fascinating to get to know. Both hiding something they don’t want the world to see. They clicked right away. The benter between them was funny; the growing relationship had a great timing.
I loved how much Frank encouraged Sarah too see her family in order to find closure she needed in order to move on with her life.
And the way she wanted to help him even when he was mean as hell to her, was really special, considering how much she struggled with her problems.
“I’m here for you,” I say. “in the same way you were here for me. I’ve never fought for anything. Every time things got hard, I ran away in one form or another, but damn it. I’m going to fight for us.”
Over all this story was a great read and having read the first two chapters to the next Abby book I can say I’m more than ready for it.
I love the Wilde Boys series by Abby Brooks & Will Wright, so I was excited that Frank Wilde was the hero for Come Home to Me. While his relationship with Sarah was fun & spontaneous, it was not without drama. A forbidden office romance, personal struggles, and a crazy coworker kept things interesting. I really enjoyed Frank & Sarah’s love story from beginning to end.
I voluntarily read & reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy.
Wow! Absolutely wonderful book by Abby Brooks. Tells of the struggles of Sarah Carmichael & Frank Wilde. They both have to overcome demons of their past to move forward with each other after they accidentally find each other. You’ll laugh & cry while reading this but you won’t be disappointed at all. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
