I cried! So much! But because I had a heart boner, not because I was sad.
TJ Klune did an amazing job of telling this amazeballs story/series that I was not only addicted to this, but to him as another one of my favorite authors. This series is crazy, hilarious, ridiculous, fast-paced, and emotional. I absolutely LOVED this series!
This was the dreamiest, dream that’s ever been dreamed!
Michael Leslie’s narration is flawless. There’s no doubt that his performance added to my complete enjoyment of this story and the entire series. ALL of the characters were great and the narration of the audiobook was perfect
I was super upset at the end of this series. One of my all-time favorites.

Overall 5 out of 5 stars
Performance 5 out of 5 stars
Story 5 out of 5 stars
I am not okay.
I have the biggest book hangover, ever.
I don’t want to be done with these books, I just want to listen to this series on a continuous loop.
I pretty much sobbed and laughed through this entire book. Sobbing one minute, then the very next laughing out loud. The epilogue was everything, I had tears streaming down my face as I listened.
I adored this book so much, even as it buried me in emotions. Mr. Klune is a master story-teller, I don’t even have words to do his mind justice.
I love, love, love the friendship between Sam, Gary, and Tiggy. The love they have for each other, ugh, it’s the best.
Tiggy is the most precious half-giant that ever did live. I wish I was on the receiving end of one of his hugs.
Everything about this book was perfect. The twists and turns, the things I NEVER saw coming, I will never get enough of this series.
I’m really not okay.
I’m going to sound like a broken record here, but Michael Lesley was perfection, pure perfection. Every single character was unique and brilliant and I’m just in awe.
From the highest highs to the depths of despair, TJ Klune’s Tales From Verania flew me there and back again, and again, and again… I don’t think another series will ever capture my heart quite like this one has, and I’m so sad it’s over.
The spectacular fourth and final episode, A Wish Upon the Stars, is everything I’d hoped for. Mr. Klune delivers love, humor, friendship, and yet in spite of some tense moments (and a wee bit of angst) I’d do it all over again in a lightning-struck heartbeat.
If you’ve been thinking of starting this phenomenal read in order series, I’m just going to say it straight up: read if you must, but audio is the way to go! Michael Lesley’s stellar performance brings this tale to life. Honestly, it’s like listening to a Broadway show.
There’s an incredible variety of unique and wondrous characters in this collection and Michael Lesley creates a distinct voice for each personality. I’m sure narrating this story would be exhausting, yet he infuses every line with emotion, and maintains it for over 70 hours! His performance is awe-inspiring.
As much as I loved A Wish Upon the Stars, saying goodbye is doubly bittersweet. I’m going to miss the camaraderie of Sam’s band of misfits, the devoted guidance of his wizards, and the passion of true love (HaveHeart 4 life!). I’m also going to miss Michael Lesley crooning in my ear. If you haven’t started this incredible journey then get the show on the road with The Lightning-Struck Heart, and by all means… do it in audio!
This final book did not disappoint. Everything about this series is just so excellently done.
I read the other three books in the series via audiobook, but for this final book, I couldn’t listen to it fast enough so switched between the audio and print book.
I have loved this series, but this final book was perfection. So, so, so good. TJ Klune is just one of the best story-tellers around and he’s found the perfect narrator in Michael Lesley for this series. The characters are everything and the two partner to bring them to glorious life.
I’ve LOVED this series and highly, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend it. But you have to read all four books. This is NOT a book that will stand on it’s own.
Read the series…it’s ridiculous and funny and is beyond anything I’ve ever read. But at the same time, it’s heartfelt, sweet, and so romantic. Ryan and Sam…gah, I cannot love them anymore. In fact, there are so many characters in these books that I simply want to know in real life. I laughed out loud so many times and sobbed out loud a couple times, too. This series is just everything.
And I highly recommend it on audio. Michael Lesley is KING OF NARRATORS!!
