The Scoop
By now you’re probably aware that the Alex Troutt thrillers, Ivy Nash thrillers, and the Ozzie Novak thrillers are all under the same Redemption Thriller Series umbrella. Why? Because, ultimately, they all connect — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. How? That’s part of the mystery that I’m slowly unveiling throughout the Redemption Thriller Series.
Through each sub-series, characters from different books appear in the other novels. If it adds suspense, intrigue, or even a good laugh, I’ve included a cross-over character — it’s a lot more fun that way. Plus — and here’s the real kicker — the final six novels will bring all of the major characters together — Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. It will be explosive and gut-wrenching…in a way that will leave you breathless.more
Ozzie witnesses something that totally destroys his heart. Is his wife dead? All signs say yes, but no body. Ozzie becomes suspect number one so to figure who the murderer is he goes on the run. This book totally hooked me from page one and I was on the run with it. I read it in one day! Your missing out on a great story and series if you haven’t found this series. READ THIS BOOK!
John Mefford is an amazing writer. He pulls you in from page one and keeps you there until the last page is read. This book is no different. He kept me guessing with every twist and turn. I don’t know how Ozzie survived all that he has but he did and does. What a way to end this series or is it ending??? Read this book and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
ON The Run is one of a kind..unique in every way, plot, developing characters, jam packed with action and evokes powerful emotions in the reader. John Mefford had written another wonderful and welcoming “ALL-NIGHTER”. I SO highly recommend this book. But get out the kleenex. And get ready for some wonderful reading. As books go it has every thing a book should have in it and is seamless reading, as you live it vicariously. I urge you to read ON The Run. There is not one disappointing page. And it IS a page turner. Thank you John Mefford for this one!!! MUST READ!
This was a very unexpected ending for me. I don’t think I was prepared at all. I could not tell who was trustworthy and who wasn’t. What exactly did Ozzie see? Who was really a friend? What twist or turn comes next? You’ll have to answer these questions yourself when you read this excellent book. You’ll find another enjoyable read by John W. Mefford.
Another great book in the Ozzie Novak Thriller series by author John W. Mefford. What a great way to end Ozzie’s story in the series. I wasn’t expecting this one at all. As with all the books in the series, this one has a lot of twists and turns, moments with his adorable daughter and the beatings that seem to come his way.
I started reading it and couldn’t put it down from the first page! Mefford really got my attention and I wanted to know what happened. I’m not going to spoil things for you but at first I thought Ozzie was dreaming and was going to wake up with everything was ok. But not for poor Ozzie and the love of his life Nicole. Once again, Ozzie gets himself into a situation where he has to find the answers and goes off seeking them in the northeast part of US. He gets in touch with friends from the past but are they truly friends. He uncovers a distributing site of a very young girl kidnapped. And as always with Ozzie, he get beat up. Then ending the story was perfect for the series. As mentioned by the author, Ozzie will show up again in something.
You could read this book as a standalone but I would highly recommend starting from Ozzie #1 and read them all. You won’t be disappointed and may find out that like me John W. Mefford is one heck of a great writer.
I have read everyone of these books, and I must say, the stories keep getting better and better, even if I don’t like the direction they are headed. I feel so sorry for Ozzie in this story. How will he be able to cope over the lost of another human being? Will he be able to keep his daughter and himself safe? Who is this terrible person that is causing all of Ozzie’s pain? You will have to read the book to find out. I voluntarily read an ARC the review is my own opinion.
After the first twist, I couldn’t put this book down. I felt like I was there with Ozzie for every twist and turn. He had help from friends and did what he needed to find out the truth. I highly recommend reading this book and the whole series
Mefford had me hooked from the first page and I read this in a few hours, I just couldn’t put it down (even reading when I was making dinner!)
The start of the book is intense and poor Ozzie just cant catch a break can he? Things are finally going in the right direction for him with regards to his relationship with his estranged wife Nicole, his daughter Mackenzie and buying a new house so they all be together. But things go horrible wrong, at first I am going to be honest I thought it was a dream for Ozzie after seeing a body plummet from a bridge, but no this is real and it soon turns into a nightmare for Ozzie.
He is thrown for a loop when “evidence” comes to light that he was involved with the death at the bridge and he is faced with a choice – turn himself in for something he didn’t do or run and find out the truth. Of course it is Ozzie we are talking about here and he goes ON the Run like his life depends on it – and it does! He will stop at nothing to prove his innocence and discovers some starting revelations along the way and I have to say I never saw it all coming, I was literary on the edge of my seat as he pieced everything together whilst the law was fast closing in on him. That’s all I am going to say to keep it spoiler free!!
An outstanding, edge of your seat read and Ozzie’s best one yet in my eye, though this can be read as a stand alone to get the full effect read the series, you will not be disappointed!
Ozzie is “ON the Run” because he is accused of murder and can’t find the real murderer if he is in jail. He is in danger of being killed by the murderer or caught and sent to prison by the police. Be prepared to stay up late because once you start this book you will not be able to put it down until you reach the end which will completely surprise you.
