A BOY WITH AN ALIEN POWER.
“The thing is, it wasn’t meteors that fell into the woods that night. It was alien spacecraft.”

When UFOs crash into the fields next to his grandfather’s house, twelve-year-old Ben Archer becomes a cumbersome witness in the eyes of the government. … becomes a cumbersome witness in the eyes of the government. Not only that, but Ben discovers he has been entrusted with an alien power, the significance of which could jeopardize human life on Earth.
Government agents rush in to remove all evidence of spacecraft and extraterrestrials. The media are led to believe meteors fell in the area and they dub the event The Cosmic Fall. But when Ben’s involvement comes in the spotlight, he is forced to flee with the sole survivor of the crash: an alien man called Mesmo.
And while the destinies of boy and alien become inextricably linked, one question hovers above their unlikely friendship: why did the aliens come to Earth in the first place?

This book was so exciting! I think I stopped breathing a few times and nearly left my seat. Already in love with Ben and Mesmo. Mesmo the most.
The start to a great adventure! I enjoyed every perspective, getting to know everyone involved, and going on all the exploits. I felt like I was truly there, and my favorite scene, I think, will always be on the ship with the whales — I don’t want to go much further than that as I hate giving things away. On to the next book!

‘This is an amazing book for younger YA. I love the adventure and how fast-paced it was. And I wanted to know why the aliens were there – that hooked me into the story. I will hunt out the next book to read.’ Girl, aged 15
‘Governments agents hunting down a boy with alien powers; how cool is that!!! Non-stop adventure with interesting characters to root for. The author has buckets and buckets of imagination. I think I was a bit too old for it, but I liked it anyway. I would recommend it for 11 – 14 year olds.’ Girl, aged 15
‘The picture of the boy on the cover sums up the book perfectly. He’s running away, looking back to see who’s chasing him. This is a sort of ‘chase’ book as everybody seems to be after him. Although the ending was not the best, I really enjoyed the story and I will read the next to see what happens.’ Boy, aged 14
‘I am planning to read all of the books now. I thought this book was amazing. I would recommend it to all boy readers.’ Boy, aged 14

Allow a full day for this family-friendly first book in the series in which Ben Archer attempts to save the world.
The Start of a Great Extraterrestrial Adventure!
We have a boy with a newly developed skill he didn’t ask for, an alien in mortal trouble, a dog that desperately wants to help, the Canadian Government trying to cover things up, and a planet under attack. The best part is when all these collide and boy and alien meet… sort of. Readers will simply fall in love with Ben and Mesmo as they follow them on a journey that will change them both and affect the future of Earth.
Ends on a brilliant cliffhanger that will leave readers craving the next in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, even though it’s teen oriented. It’s highly compelling, nerve wrecking and full of action, for such a young boy, who goes through traumatic and emotional experiences! Most recommended!
This is a great little sci-fi book. I enjoyed it at 32, and I think my 10 year old son will too. The plot is fairly simple, but captivating none-the-less. I was pleased to find a second book in the series when I was done.
