They described this book as a slow-burn reverse harem and it’s appropriate of that warning. With that being said, I totally enjoyed it even if Knight was really the only love interest in this first installment. It was well developed and the characters were fabulously well written. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
A fabulous book that builds slowly until the reader is completely taken in and mesmerized by the characters and the well executed plot. The protagonist has lived by Vampire law fir centuries but one selfless act for a child changes everything. Just an engrossing story that is the first in a series. You won’t be able to wait for the second and third books….
A winner on all fronts!
This was quite a read! There is plenty of snark & humor as well as friendship, sadness, fury, passion and love!
It was great!
First let me state that I received an Advance Reader, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review. Also note, this author is new to me, and hopefully it won’t be for long.
Wow!!! This story starts slow and builds over time. By the end I was crying so hard it hurt. This is not an HEA. It also ends in a sort of cliffhanger, but it’s still a gr8 read. I can’t wait to read the next story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up
Knight of the Hunted by Elizabeth Dunlap is the first book in the Born Vampires series. In this book, Lizbeth a born vampire who is over four hundred years old lives with an order of born vampires who are tasked with turning chosen humans and them teaching how to live as turned vampires in society. On day, Lizbeth is in town and comes across a lycan child who has wandered across the dividing line from lycan territory into vampire territory. According to vampire law she is duty bound to kill the lycan but she refuses to kill a child and returns him to his parents instead. This choice affects the rest of her life because the hunters are sent to capture her for breaking the law. Lizbeth runs to save herself and meets up with a lycan named Knight who promises to protect her. This book is about how their unlikely romantic relationship which begins as these two are on the run from their hunters. This book is funny with a sarcastic vampire and a snarky werewolf that end up as unlikely friends. I loved these two characters and the adventures they have while on the road. I loved this wonderful paranormal romance. Knight of the Hunted is an unlikely love story.
I absolutely loved this book. The story and characters are very well written. From the moment I started reading I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read the next book. I highly recommend reading.

Lis the vampire and Knight the werewolf were mortal enemies. But through a twist of fate they became more. Their journey was filled with running from hunter vampires and packs wanting to kill Knight. Only enabling them to become closer. Will they get their HEA? I guess I’ll have to read the next book to find out!

What an amazing discovery!!
Knight of the Hunted was my first Elizabeth Dunlap read and what a ride!! This story was so captivating i couldn’t put it down and lost track of time. Yes it is a slow built RH but the story is so good that i don’t mind waiting for Lisbeth harem to be identified and completed. Love Lisbeth she is kind, strong and brave. What to say about Knight he is such one hell of a loveable character Lisbeth needs him in her harem for sure… please!!!!! Can’t wait to dive in the rest of this series to see what happens next!!

I can admit I have a thing for vampire stories, but this one I loved! A fantastic original spin in a genre that is flooded. With two classes of vampires, it comes with a bunch of rules. Lisbeth, who usually follows said rules breaks them and ends up on the run. When you have broken one rule what’s a few more? When she runs into Knight they become a dynamic duo on the run. Where a forbidden romance forms. Packed full of action, suspense, amazing characters, and an unlikely romance. This book has it all for any vampire fan!
This is not YA, it may be slow build and not have explicit content but the mc’s are hundreds of years old.
So this book was… weird. There were parts where it would really come together and I’d think ‘yes this is great it’s finally getting to it’ and then there were bits where I just didn’t understand why something was happening or I’d think ‘wow I do not like these characters at all’. So it was an off one for me. I know I’m not real fond of the society that’s set up it seems forcing people is a okay in the Vampire society, I honestly don’t feel much of a pull to continue with the series. I know some of my dislike stems from the mislabeling as I was looking forward to a good slow ya Rh but it’s still going to be a no from me.

Ooooo I so enjoyed this book! I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I loved it. It intrigued me from the start and kept me hooked at the way through. I love the characters and the world they live in. My heart broke a little at the end. I cannot wait to see what happens next….
