In the first in Tessa Dare’s captivating Castles Ever After series, a mysterious fortress is the setting for an unlikely love . . .As the daughter of a famed author, Isolde Ophelia Goodnight grew up on tales of brave knights and fair maidens. She never doubted romance would be in her future, too. The storybooksoffered endless possibilities. And as she grew older, Izzy crossed them off. One by one … older, Izzy crossed them off. One by one by one.
- Ugly duckling turned swan?
- Abducted by handsome highwayman?
- Rescued from drudgery by charming prince?
No, no, and… Heh.
Now Izzy’s given up yearning for romance.
She’ll settle for a roof over her head. What fairy tales are left over
for an impoverished twenty-six year-old woman who’s never even been
kissed?

I loved this book, I laughed out loud a few times, which I loved, the characters and storyline was original, won’t be disappointed
I like the author and have enjoyed many of her books. I read so many that I don’t remember this one specifically but have enjoyed all her books. Try to read the series books in order.
I just love Tessa Dare romances. She puts a lot of love and romance into her books. And they’re also funny.
The characters are trying hard not to love each other, but they fail.
I liked this book although it was not as good as other Tessa Dare works. Just the same it was worth reading.
I also like Elizabeth Holt. It has been awhile I don’t remember this one but I have a lot of her books too and have enjoyed them all.
I’m in love with Tessa Dare’s talent!
This jump in the fairytale universe was so refreshing. I’m just now mesmerized by the author’s gift to create incredible characters and worlds.
None of her characters are weak, what ever life has thrown on their way, it has strengthened them.
And this new vision of the beast and his non-beauty has me sucked …
Romancing the Duke is my first Tessa Dare book and I loved it. I really enjoyed her writing style. Her hero Ransom was a foul mouth, damaged, sexy, butthole. The heroine Izzy was a funny, spunky, outgoing woman that I couldn’t help but love and root for. Ransom and Izzy had a cute romance and the smexy time was hot! I laughed a lot while reading …
Enjoyed the book. Enjoyed the characters. If you like historical romances, you should read this one.
Part of the Castles Ever After Series. I had previously read ‘When a Scot Ties the Knot’ and enjoyed it.
Romancing the Duke was adorable, funny; I could not put it down. I was not disappointed. The hero is scarred and slightly jaded; the heroine is plain, unmarried, off the shelf and determined to have her way. Not because she is demanding, but …
I liked the hero because he is flawed. Not your usual handsome, perfect, beautiful body, etc. The knights and handmaidens were a hot. Good story, good characters, funny.
I loved this book. Tessa Dare is an excellent writer
Oh my gosh, I loved this book! I love the banter between the characters. The pages flew by quickly!
