This is an enjoyable book in an enjoyable series. You could read this one as a standalone, but you will enjoy it more if you have read the two previous books.
There is a lot going on in this book. Kim and Darius have an on again/off relationship. Little does Kim realize that her actions could have long-lasting and deadly implications for her friends. Meanwhile, Shelly is pregnant and the baby vamp is causing her some unusual symptoms. Ebony, the local seer, has lost her talent of seeing the future and there is a hot new barista in town. Lucy and Frankie are in a relationship while Lucy tries to earn her wings. Are all of these things related? In a town full of supernatural creatures, you can be sure that they are!
There are a few pretty hot and steamy scenes in this book, so be warned. If you are listening to the audiobook, be aware of this before listening in public.
The narrator does a good job, but I still would like to hear a British accent in these books. With all of the British slang and references, the narrator’s voice is a little unexpected. All in all, if you enjoy Paranormal romance, you will enjoy this book.
In Book 3 we finally get Kim & Darius’s story.
Kim has taken over the agency and is doing pretty well, except she cannot stop trying to take the male candidates on “test dates”.
With one final mistake, even Ebony warns her that she disrupted fate and will cause major issues.
She only has started a pack war between Darius’s and a rival pack, pack rules are preventing Darius to interfere and he has to abide to the law.
Oh dear…
With Shelley being pregnant and imminently being turned, what can she do?
This is the best of the books so far!
The humour is still great, fantastic characters and loads happening.
Absolutely brilliant!
Cannot wait to read the next instalment.
Book 3 in the series, I can’t stop reading them, I need to know what happens.
I did enjoy the book overall, but I couldn’t make up my mind about Kim. she started to grow on me, then she’d do something and ruin it.
I really enjoy all the secondary characters and how they all interact with each other throughout the book.
I listened to this book on Audible and the narrator, Angela Doll, was good and I would happily listen to another book she has narrated.
I am in love with this Supernatural Dating Agency series and Hate Date or Mate was no exception. Kim, in trying to take advantage of the dating agency, has managed to upset the balance in the shifter world and now has to sort it all out before a pack war erupts. The story hilarious, evenly paced and so entertaining you will not be able to put it down. I loved the inclusion of the characters from the previous novels. This lighthearted paranormal romance with its quirky characters was a fantastic read and an excellent addition to the series.
The audiobook version was narrated by Angela Doll. She did a great job and brought the story to life. It was a pleasure listening to her narrate this novel.
Hate, Date, or Mate? (Supernatural Dating Agency, Book 3) is such a fun addition to this series. I love this series and this book fits it well. Brimming with oodles of humour, paranormal antics and fascinating characters. Looking forward to listening to the next audio in this entertaining paranormal series.
Narator Angela Doll could use some assistance with some many characters. Other than that her performance was really good. The more I listen to her the more I enjoy her narations.
Hate, Date, or Mate? by Andie M Long is a supernatural romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Angela Doll.
This is the third book in the Supernatural Dating Agency series. Books 1-3 are available on audio and books 4-6 are available in print.
I think this is the best one yet of the series. Andie does an amazing job with the storyline. I cannot wait for book four Here For The Seer to be released on audio.
I am a bit torn on Angela’s narration on this story. The Characters are supposed to be British but it’s an American narrator. I think Angela did a great job with using different voices for the women. However, she did not change the tone for the men’s character so it got a bit confusing at times.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romantic comedies.
Quirky read about friends running a supernatural dating agency. Well written, witty and amusing. Kim and Darius have obstacles to beat before there is a HEA.
Love this series! I have been waiting anxiously to read Hate Date or Mate and it was so worth the wait! Love that Darius knows Kim is his mate and is determined to prove it to her. These two go through so much on their journey of love and it was so fun to read about it. Great writing, humor, paranormal drama and great characters…this book definitely does not disappoint. Now I will anxiously wait the next book in the SuperNatural Dating Agency series. I can’t wait to see what happens next for this crazy, lovable group.
Hate, Mate or Date by Andie M Long a five-star read that you would choose to mate. This is the third book in the Supernatural dating series but you could read it on its own and still know what’s going on, but you would be far too interested with the other characters and want to back, so I would recommend you start from the beginning and read them all. Kim is great, we have seen her grow into a woman that you can’t help but adore through the series, her game of love is one that I’m deeply vested in as is Darius Wild and what a wolfman he is. They may be the main couple this book is based about but we see so many other characters pop up, will Lucy ever get over her bad side? And what will Theo and Shellys baby be? See what I mean about wanting to know more about the other characters and reading the series. Everyone has a voice in this story and that’s why I love Andie’s writing, there are no small characters everyone tells their story. It’s a great way fo writing as it keeps you guessing, now we just have to wait the next book to find out who Ebony will Marry!!
Once again a very entertaining light read by Andie M. Long.
It was fun to read about the newest shenanigans in Withernsea. Kim and Darius were stumbling their fair share on the path to love until everything turned out for the best at the end.
This story was well written, funny and easy to read.
Oh boy Kim. Her crafty ways to take advantage of the dating agency to set herself up with dates starts a wolf pack war. Darius knows Kim is his mate but when she dates Jett, she sets all kinds of crazy things in motion. Kim is so afraid of relationships and commitment, her family wasn’t a shining example, so she had no idea her attempt to make Darius jealous would lead to such drastic measures. Throw in the sexy new barista, Seth, and even more craziness ensues. Lucy is learning to be an angel and is trying to guide Seth and Kim but with other forces intervene. There is so many funny moments in this crazy triangle. Poor Kim just seems to find trouble. There were several twists to this journey that surprised me which kept the drama high. Truly another fun, sexy romance in Withernsea, a perfect way to escape. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
