story line good but was bogged down by way too much analytical theories. Seems like the author wants to espouse all her thoughts on human psyche and behavior and just interspersed her analysis with the story. Like 2/3 was her psyche analysis and 1/3 was the actual story. Second book was the same story line with the names changed.
I quit reading this book partway through. Between the sex-obsessed male and the beleaguered but resilient teenager, I lost interest. Vocabulary didn’t seem to fit the characters.
It had potential but didn’t live up to it for me.
Didn’t care for it at all. It struck me as juvenile, the reference to the bad guy as “prick” became tedious. Characters were 1 dimensional at best. The description I read of the series was far too optimistic.
Would have given it a higher rating however, I felt the author’s use of 4 syllable
words expressed a need to show her command of English grammar a bit much.
Perhaps she was unsure of how good the stories are or a desire to copy some English authors.
