THORN
Before I became Rose’s Thorn, I was a man with a purpose.
A man who met a little girl and decided to prepare her for a dark future.
Call me sick if you want to. Call me depraved. Call me insane.
You don’t know the half of it yet.
Get a sneak peek into Rose and Thorn’s lives before the series officially begins!
Reading order for Rose and Thorn:
Blush Pink Rose (prequel)
Blood Red Rose (Book 1)
Pure White Rose (Book 2)
Last Broken Rose (Book 3)
more
This is an interesting quick introduction of the main characters for the rest of the Rose & Thorn series. There’s not a lot to it but it does make sure you’re aware that this will be dark. I’m leaving my review under Fawn Bailey but reading the complete series under Isabella Starling.
Blush Pink Rose is the prequel to what promises to be a dark and twisted ride. It’s a short read but has a lot of information and is intriguing enough to make you want to read the next book.
Our heroine Harlow is seventeen years old and all alone, although how alone are you when you are being watched? She’s a ballet dancer and like everyone else aspires to be centre stage. Curiosity about boys, actually a certain boy is beginning to form in her mind. Her best friend has a secret she’s trying to keep hidden.
Thorn has been watching his rose blossom from a distance, he’s been biding his time waiting for her. She is so sweet and innocent, a beauty who sees beauty in everything even broken things.
A great tease to the main event
This was a great palate wetter. I can’t wait for the main story. To see where things go for Harlow, Carina, & Thorn.
Just a glimpse into the blurb made me feel anxious and super curious. But not only the blurb, I mean, the tittle was super suggestive and full of suspense and hidden messages.
This prequel is an amazing start to a series that I know it will be a success because the day this story started.
The level of darkness, suspense are very present and that made me devour it in a sec, the fact that this was just a few pages long made read I g it super quick but it was an engaging reading.
Dreams, desires, achievements, love as well as crime, punishments, obsession are very present in here and that is the cherry on top of the cake.
Let me just say that what happened in here will become even more nite we as soon as I can get my claws on the rest of the series. I can only ask the author to write it quickly because the suspense is killing me slowly.
Oh Fawn Bailey you’re a master in suspense and I can’t wait for more…
Can’t wait for the next book, Blood Red Rose to arrive because I need to know more.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
“She loved broken things as I did.”
As prequels go, I suppose this fits the billing. The author presents an acceptable effort in introducing us to the characters in this saga about to unfold in a series of books.
Here’s what I liked. This author can write coherently and her characters are believable and vivid in the reader’s mind. The premise of the story is darkly intriguing. She has unearthed some fertile psycho-sexual ground to plant her “roses”.
What I missed was some heat, some sex, real passion blooming. There were only hints of the passions ahead dropped here and there scattered through the narrative. This “Prequel” would have done its job of luring us into this dark romance much more thoroughly with some down and dirty action.
Every reader loves to be drawn into a story, compelled to read on as their daily thoughts are haunted by the characters while away from the book. This is the effect of writing that makes the reader “feel”.
This Prequel informs us on the situation occurring and about to occur in the character’s life. It is informative. Without the compelling heat of passion, however misguided, I personally did not feel anything.
So I am not absolutely driven to begin the series. I’m not opposed to continuing…just not compelled.
This a must read for dark romance lovers!
cant wait!!
I am so excited about these new books! Isabella Starling writing under a pen name and bringing to life an even darker- grittier world is amazing.
This prequel is centered around Harlow Granger (Rose) the dancer and Thorn the man that will eventually become the man that takes Rose. This gives you just a little inside of each of them and a couple of the secondary characters.
This prequel gives us a little glimpse of what’s to come. And I can’t wait
I loved this prequel so much I had to read it twice and now I am anxiously awaiting Blood Red Rose. This is a short, dark, well written read that has interesting characters that are well developed and believable.
Blush Pink Rose: A Rose and Thorn Prequel is a tempting taste of the darkness that is to come in the upcoming Rose and Thorn series. With a razor’s sharpness this prequel slices deeply and leaves you wanting much, much more. This book introduces you to Harlow (Rose), a young woman filled with dreams and a passion for ballet and Thorn, an intense, dangerous man with an obsession for her. Grab this book and be prepared to start your journey through this dark, sexy and suspenseful series.
Rose and Thorn
This is going to be an amazing series! I am so excited to follow Rose and Thorns story after this gripping and intriguing prequel! If you are into dark, you have to grab this and you will know what I mean!
Short and not so sweet. I’m interest to see where Harlow and Thorn will go in this series.
I enjoyed this prequel, I think it was a fun way to lead into the Rose and Thorn series.
This is my first book from Author Fawn Bailey, but I am so looking forward to the series and more!
This is a short but brilliant prequel to Fawn Baileys new series. No choice but I had to read this in one sitting.
I loved the storyline and can’t wait to read more about the characters. This is a great teaser to the series. I can’t wait to read more of the series. Great read.
