Frat Hell. That’s how the whole neighborhood refers to the apartment where I live with three other college students. It’s a bit judgmental, considering the neighborhood we live in is more like a zoo than an apartment complex, but not inaccurate. If you put that many young guys together, things are bound to be interesting. I still maintain that the giant water guns filled with poison ivy water … ivy water were not my idea.
January Dixon.
She’s the girl I’ve lusted after for years. A smart mouth and sharp tongue surrounded by soft beauty and a body I’d give up an organ just to touch. An important organ, like a kidney, not one of those lame ones like a gallbladder.
It’s a tricky situation since she lives right down the street, and dating a neighbor generally isn’t a good idea. But this is Violent Circle, where normal may as well be a dirty word. Thanks to an impromptu fashion show where I tossed all self-respect aside and strutted my stuff in full bondage gear in front of our small town, she now owes me a date.
And I plan to collect.

Shade did it again. Another hit.
This book had me laughing from the beginning. I knew that Shade was going to have her work cut out for her after Scarlet Toys, and she did not disappoint.
The characters were perfectly constructed along with the entire story. I want more from the Violent Circle.
Noble and Jani were two of the characters that you were introduced to in Scarlett Toys and this is your chance to get their story. And because they are residence of Violent Circle you know that their story is nothing short of entertaining.
Word of advice do not drink while reading this one, unless your OK with the possiblity of choking on said drink from your laughing. And there may be a chance that you may laugh so hard that you may pee a little.
I am loving this series.
This book was funny and kept me turning the pages.
I loved this book so much! SM Shade is killing me with this hilarious series of books. The writing is crisp and clear and sets a fast pace that you have to binge in one sitting. Noble and January were adorable together. And I loved all the characters from the first book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
This read actually touched on a lot of real life struggles, however has a crazy spin on things. This book is light hearted and makes a mean coctail from the lemons life threw at the characters. I laughed so hard and I felt so much, what a fab read!
The Violent Circle Series is definitely one of my favorite romantic comedies to read when I want something funny to read. I love Noble and January as characters but for some reason I did not find their story as funny as I have found some of the others. However, I still can not wait to read more of the stories in the series!
Author S. M. Shade has given us the reader a wonderful taste a real (yes folks this is real) small town life. This is the second book in this series but it can be read as a stand alone. Let me say you really should read Scarlet Toys too (the first book in this series) to get to know all of the back stories and this fun small town. Now Frat Hell… Oh don’t worry it’s nothing bad at all just what you think a whole much of college dudes who happen to all live together in the same apartment. Now this story is more about Noble and January (Jani)’s story but believe me we get to know Denton, Trey and Kenny as well, which I loved. This book had me laughing out loud to the point I woke up my husband at times…yes I read in bed. While the area these folks live in might seem “run down” know that the folks who live there are just like me and you, folks who struggle at time but are real folks. I read the entire series (well up thru book 4) and I can’t wait for more from Violent Circle!
OMG, Jani and Noble are too much. Violent Circle and its inhabitants are cooky and crazy and not to be missed.
Jani finally gives into the date Noble won by wearing bondage gear in Scarlet Toys, and it’s nothing like you’d expect from one of the Frat Hell boys… no, he comes up with something sweet and unexpected, just like Noble himself.
Their first date sets the tone for the rest of the book, unexpected and sweet, funny and what just happened…
Both are keeping important secrets from each other, though, and they can and do eventually blow up. The important thing is, will they be able to work things out together, or will they tear them apart?
*WARNING* this book is for mature readers
This story picks up pretty much where book 1 leaves off. Noble knows what he wants and he is persistent enough to keep after her.
January has no time for men. Jani has to work, and take care of her mom.
Another funny book. I really like that there is so much humor in this, but still give me a complete story that makes sense.
Frat Hell, just as hilarious as the first one, Scarlet Toys. I loved the chemistry between Nobel and Jani. The quirky and witty banter between them and their friends, is just epic!
“Turning to Jani, I pretend to whisper. “He drugged me, baby. Probably took advantage and touched my no-no spot while I was sleeping.”
Rabies shots, taser, jellyfish and a volcano eruption, it’s not a boring story by any means. And a..a.. afrogina…yeah, this book contains so many different description on..different things, is fanfriggingtastics!!
“-You do it, Denton tells Jani.
-How? She snaps. -You expect me to just strip, squat and piss on him?
-I can’t golden shower my best friend!”
It’s a light read, filled with warmth and friendship. Family beyond blood coming together to fend off a common foe, and multiple laughing out loud moments!!
I was so looking forward to this after reading Scarlet Toys, but was wondering if book 2 might fall short of expectations after laughing my socks off at book 1 – I was not disappointed, it was an absolute hoot!!! Although these can be read as standalones, I recommend you read Scarlet Toys first, you would be missing out on such a treat otherwise!!
Frat Hell is January and Noble’ story.
January owed Noble a date after he donned bondage gear and strode down the catwalk for her. She has been putting him off for what seems like forever, as she sees him with his Frat pals, but is looking for someone more serious, who has goals and work ethics – which is Noble all over, except she doesn’t know it.
Noble has been gunning for Jani for ages, she keeps turning him down, but he just won’t take no for an answer, he just needs one date to prove to her he’s not like she thinks he is.
My sides were aching from laughing so much in this book!! I loved the whole story, Jani and Noble had so much character and chemistry, they were sweet, funny and incredibly sexy to boot!! The Frat Boys and the Violent Circle residents were fabulous. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough for this. The book was a breeze to read, the story flowed really well, and the one liners littered throughout the book had me in hysterics on many occasions.
A fabulous RomCom that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you reading – 5 laugh out loud stars.
My sides hurt…
I didn’t know how much more I could take…
My god I need to live on Violent Circle…
I love every single one of the crazy people that live there…
Ok mini, crazy rant over. Frat Hell is a feel good, funny @ss book that will leave you wanting so much more. Noble and Jani are perfect for each other. They each give as much as they get. I read Frat Hell in just over a day and didn’t want to put it down.
S.M. Shade has definitely kicked it out of the circle this time. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better it did and then some. Frat Hell takes you through Noble and Jani’s journey into finding each other. Through some bumps and bruises and lots of laughs along the way will the two come together? Gotta grab your copy to find out!!

A witty, light and humorous quick read.
Violent Circle is one of those places that you want to live ….but then you are glad you don’t live there. In this installment of the Saga Jani has to pay up on her promise to Noble that if he did that one embarrassing thing (I wont say what just in case you haven’t read Scarlet Toys yet) then she would FINALLY go out on a date with him. They start to see each other and things look like they are moving pretty quickly. These 2 have a hilarious chemistry. The things that they do together sound like a lot of fun and usually get them into some really funny situations. This was a great light and funny read. It was a great way to spend my weekend!
I absolutely loved this book! The chemistry between Noble and Jani is HOT! I loved the lil bits of humor throughout the book that literally made me laugh out loud! I highly recommend this book!
Welcome to Frat Hell. S.M. Shade is back with her second installment of Violent Circle. (If you haven’t read Scarlet Toys yet, then you need to get on it ASAP.) If you’re looking for something deep, moving, or emotional than move along to a different book. Check out S.M.’s Safe Hands series if you’d like (super recommend that series!). This book is full of fun, light romance. It is a romantic comedy at it’s best.
The book just came out today, February 27th, and is on Kindle Unlimited, but I pre-ordered it. I could not wait to get my hands on this book. I have been waiting for Noble and January’s story since Noble catwalked his way into a date.
Noble and January are introduced in Scarlet Toys, as Noble tries to get a date with Jani, and Jani tries to brush him off. To get that date, Noble participates in a lingerie show, wearing a ball gag and leather underwear. Frat Hell, which is also the nickname for the house Noble shares with his college bros, opens with Noble finally getting his date with January, and their date is something I am now dying to try for myself. Magnet fishing! Please read this just so you can find out what the heck it is if you don’t already know.
January has her own issues with dating, since her mom has multiple sclerosis, but Noble tries to overcome them in heartwarming ways. Noble has his own insecurities, one of them being adulthood looming around the corner. But the love these two find is mushy goodness. Noble may come from Frat Hell, but he’s learning to grow up.
Overall, this book was exactly what I thought it was going to be when S.M announced the release. It was funny as hell, and kept me smiling and laughing from page one. I enjoyed every minute reading it, and devoured in it almost six hours. Because it wouldn’t be romance without someone screwing up, someone does. But there’s no long drawn out forgiveness, and it keeps with the comedy feel. And the crazy antics that make Violet Circle become Violent are very much alive and well. This book was absolutely, 100% worth it. 5 stars all around.
Frat Hell
January & Noble
I absolutely love a book that yanks me in and surrounds me with the characters world. Humor, romance , and sweet funny dating escapades.
January is looking for love but doesn’t not think that her neighbor Noble is boyfriend material. He is persistent she can give him that but rooming with a bunch of Frat boys can ruin a boys image. She finally gives him a yes to a date so they can finally realize they are not a match….i think she may be pleasantly surprised !!!!
He is romantic, hardworking , smart and has been crushing on her from afar for years! Where has he been hiding this fine man and those abs!!! Once Noble gets January in his grasp he will do whatever it takes to woo her to be his!!!!
Loved it !!

I would not normally want to be seen dead living somewhere like violent circle. However, I so want to move there. I just love the going on’s that apartment block has to offer. Especially when the inspectors call. that is great teamwork.
Noble and January make a great couple. They just bounce off each other. What’s great about this books is the chemistry that’s written. We met them in book 1 of the series. January works for Wyatt at Scarlett Toys and Noble ended up in bondage gear. This time round let’s see what Noble does to make a fool of himself and will it impress January?
It’s great to catch up with everyone else in Violent Circle. Bring on Book 3
I discovered S.M from a book group and total fell in love with her and her book Scarlet Toys. When I heard Frat Hell was on it’s way, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Once I did, I just couldn’t put it down. I loved Scarlet Toys but I think I love Frat Hell even more.
What a storyline! I must say I laughed and smiled throughout almost the entire book. The book is very well written with characters that are perfect for their parts.
We met Noble and Jani in book one of the series. Noble is instantly attracted to Jani but she puts him off. She doesn’t have a good track record with men, especially college guys. But she enjoys being around Noble so finally agrees to one date with him. From there the story takes off. These two get in some of the weirdest predicaments and their hilarious banter is off the charts. The laughs and fun never seem to stop around these two.
This series is just great. In this readers opinion it’s a must read series. Especially if you like RomComs. Jani and Noble’s story will have you rolling with laughter and leave you hoping for more from the gang from Violent Circle and Scarlet Toy! 2 Thumbs Up!!!
ARC:
What a fabulously funny & wonderful rom-com Frat Hell is
This book picks up a month after the end of ‘VioleNt Circle Book 1’ finishes.
Noble has spent the month trying to get his date that January (Jani) promised him after he won a bet. She’s been hiding from him Once he tracks her down & she finally agrees to go out with him he takes her on a date that she never expected!! The fun they have on this date sets the tone for this couple. What happens on the slippery hill is laugh out funny So sweet
After spending more time together its clear he’s a much deeper, thoughtful & focused guy than Jani realised or gave him credit for!! He is as smitten with her as he’s always been & she’s falling right in line with him on that front
There are ups & downs as life takes some swerves & big dips for our couple. On the whole it’s taken on really well by both of them. There are some hilarious situations that you can just imagine happening, any couple knows stupid stuff happens all the time but it’s how you deal with it that counts .. . laughing is the best way & Noble & Jani tease each constantly
The Frat Hell house & it’s tenants are prominent in this book. They are down right crazy funny Denton seems the most like Noble, I look forward to his story!! I really enjoyed the interactions between the guys!!The VioleNt Circle tenants, though they have to band together to fight against their new Management Company in the most hysterical way, don’t feel like they are as integral to this book as they were in Book 1. I missed them I loved the community feel we were given in Scarlet Toys. I think it was because it’s more about Frat Hell this time, Obviously as its the book title. Lol But I just somehow wish it was more drip fed throughout this book too. Perhaps I’m just being greedy
This is a wonderful laugh out loud, pull on your heartstrings, romantic, fun filled rom-com that will leave you laugh snorting & sighing from one breath to the next
I give it a fully deserved 4.5 stars. Excellent work S.M Shade, I salute you
By the way, BEST BOOK DEDICATION EVER!!!!
