Carmen Pyre had it all until her husband was murdered by a madman who threatened everyone she loved. Now that her husband has been avenged, it’s time to move on… she just doesn’t know how. Two men who fill her husband’s former roles offer to help her move forward with her life. Author’s Note: This is a dark romance novel with triggers, violence, and mature themes that may make some readers uncomfortable. Also, books must be read in succession!

Mia Knight knew perfectly well what she was aiming to achieve when she masterfully created the exquisite universe of Las Vegas underworld.
Having need of only just a few short sentences, she deftly and irreversibly manages to captivate the readers with the amazing way in which she makes the story envelop them in its addictive plot.

Carmen is a tempestuous and fascinating woman, and in Awakened by Sin her life takes an unexpected turn. She’s fierce and loyal but hides her vulnerability. She is trying to find herself after the devastating events of the past. Her story is filled with suspense and emotion and is unforgettable!
I loved loved this book. It is book # 4 in the series, but by far the most suspenseful and heart pounding book. I love this character and so will you. Be ready to hold your breath, cry and root for the heroine. I can’t wait for the next book. This author is so talented, that I want to read everything that she writes.
I have loved the Crime Lord Series, I absolutely adored Lyla and Gavin’s story. I loved Gavin, never would have thought that I would love Carmen as much as I do Lyla…
Carmen… She is so much more that just bimbo, just late Crime Lord widow… She is so strong, she’s struggling everyday with her loss. She’s fierce, intelligent young woman who lost so much, yet she is just too strong not to re-gain her power, her strength to overcome her emotional problems. Yes, she loved Vinny so much, that it almost killed her when she lost him… But… life must go on, and Carmen sure knows that. She is too independent, too strong, too emotional to shattered. No one and nothing can shatter her now…
Marcus… Angel… Two poweful, intelligent alpha-males who want Carmen, whome will she choose? Calcultive, ambitious, kind, intelligent, charming
Marcus or honest, funny, alluring Angel?
Mia Knight has outdone herself with Awakened by Sin. Carmen is an absolute force to be reckoned with and the manic zest with which she attacks life is infectious. I could not put this book down. The highs, lows and frantic in between that is Carmen is like no other. The vulnerability and strength Mia wove into the story made Carmen a three dimensional, complex woman worthy of not only having her own story, but her own series! Bravo, Mia!
I have loved the Crime Lord Series since it started. I was unsure whether I would like this book because I never really connected with Carmen in the first three books. I should have known Mia Knight would create a story that made me fall in love.
One of the most important parts to any book for me is character development. This book brings it! We are able to see Carmen in all her glory from her weaknesses to her strengths to her craziness and her passion. It also shows a new side of the two love interests Marcus and Angel.
To me this book was so much more than the battle of two love interests. This book leaves you emotionally drained in such a delicious way. It delves into loss, into the grappling of what to do after being part of a couple and the overall journey to finding oneself again. Add in the twists, the character development with secondary characters not just the lead and it left me breathless. Like all the best books, this elicits strong emotions. I would cry, I would laugh, I would want to jump into the pages just to shake a character and then be left flabbergasted at the next moment. I highly recommend this book and the crazy ride it will take you on!
