First time I’ve read a contemporary romance novel from this author, so was a little worried if I’d like it or not. Well news blast, I loved it. The background stories for the two main characters in this story are very well set-up. It explains how they got to the point where this story, with it’s heartache, anger, and distrust, begins. As they say it’s a tangled web when we first deceive, or something like that. They thought they had a forever love, but due to the wants and desires of another, that love and trust was destroyed. When disaster strikes a relationship it’s always best to listen to all sides of the story before believing in the worst. I don’t do spoilers but let me say this story is about such an occurrence and what happens when years later, due to the deathly illness of a sister, the two former lovers meet again. It isn’t easy to forget the passion and love they had for one another, but for one the betrayal will never be forgot or forgiven. Betrayal felt so strongly that it has not only affected their relationship but a close family member as well. I highly recommend this book to those who love a really great romance story.
Very well written. It’s wholesome, has depth, intense emotionally, action packed and of course there is the twin drama that has to be dealt with. As the plot unfolds, the author takes a twist and ventures into the dangerous livelihood of Juliana adding more edge and anticipation to the main plot. So much more than a second chance at romance, very entertaining and great supporting characters, especially her parents, lol.
Since We Fell: A Second Chance Romance
by Ann Gimpel
This is definitely a highly anticipated book! First I’m a huge fan of Ann Gimple I absolutely love reading her books. I can honestly say that I loved this book her first Contemporary Romance. But I must say I don’t usually read medical stories because I have worked in the field all of my working years and most authors leave something out but Ann’s first Contemporary book Since We Fell a awesome second chance romance did not disappoint! It features Juliana Wray and Brice McKinnon. Juliana is a archaeologist who climb her way to the top of her profession, but Juliana had a reason why she put her career before having a personal life. Brice is a internal medicine physician, he is treating Juliana’s twin sister for a illness that could lead to death but doesn’t. This book is one of my favorite books by Ann Gimpel it’s charmingly beautiful and perfectly written. These two characters are easy to fall in love with, they are two people that’s as different as night and day but they seem to be so right for each other. This book is just perfect to read with your favorite beverage. I don’t think Since We Fell will disappoint you! None of know just what fate has in store for us! I enjoyed how Juliana and Brice chemistry sparks from the beginning. This book is so compelling, but I knew reading this book would be. Juliana and Brice break up is so realistic I could feel their emotions. I never realized how great emotional overload could be within a book. Brice and Juliana made a mistake a few years ago. It will take determination and a strong desire to move past their own stubborness. I think Sarah and Juliana parents motto should have been don’t give up along with their daughters and their careers. I can imagine the roller coaster of emotions that Juliana and her twin Sarah went through in turn you could feel it too. Through the entire story I encourage the cheered for Juliana and Brice to get it right along with her twin. Both had so many deep emotions to work through, it broke my heart when I read the cause, but I enjoy Ann Gimpel and I that the story had heat but it was awesome. Their HEA has lots of love. Once again Ann Gimpel didn’t disappoint, but you really have to read their story to totally appreciate why they deserved it. You and I can always count on Ann Gimpel to provide a beautiful romance, it’s what makes her one of my favorite authors and talking about complexities of emotions in a lifetime, Ann Gimpel can achieved this with her compelling storytelling. The characters are strong and they need each other to complete them. The tale of her twin finding love is such an exceptional and important part of this story. Sarah’s illness is intriguing and believable part in the story, because memories are so very important to everyone’s lives and their happiness. This is a truely overwhelmingly fantastic story. It’s deeply touching, sweet, beautifully emotional, heartwarming second chance love story. This journey takes you through the entire range of human emotion in the space of one day. I don’t know how many readers do this. But I want the authors to know why I buy a book but then I wait to read the book, the reason why is when I know a book is going to be a awesome read I like to read it when I can take my time to read it. I may even read it twice like watching a favorite movie. Anyway this is one of those books. I highly recommend this book I know it won’t be her last for us the readers to enjoy.
