Brandon, the newest member of Levi’s team at Legendary Securities, heads to Africa. Bullard purchased a new holding there, but, shortly after arriving, went missing. Kasha has worked for Bullard for five years. She’s familiar with most of those who work for Legendary as well. Brandon proves his worth almost immediately, planning her boss’s rescue and staying right by her side in the days that … days that follow while they determine what imbroglio Bullard’s stepped into. Accident or a deal gone horribly wrong, it seems Bullard was running guns and now his newest holding is under attack.
Their emotions, heightened by danger, run hot as Brandon positions himself instinctively at Kasha’s side–which is exactly where he hopes to be permanently if they can just find a way out of this rapidly escalating mess.

Sometimes you just have to be patient when it comes to matters of the heart
We have left American soil and now Dale takes you on a mission into Benin, a country within Africa. It is here where both Brandon and Kasha will not only work together on a crucial mission, they will also need to find their rightful place in life. For one it’s not the job, so much as disenchantment with the horrors it causes and for the other, fitting into a new role and finding stability.
It is a beautifully paced story, as it unfolds its intrigue and suspense – not only in the search for a boss and friend, but uncovering something far more dangerous and sinister, that would have far reaching ramifications. It will take a team, both far and near to join forces, pool their resources to prevent destruction.
This story intrigued me as a military romance. At times I really wondered if the relationship between Brandon and Kasha was more mutual respect and friendship rather than romantic interest, attraction and chemistry. The romance buildup is slow, almost non existent, because both Brandon and Kasha are pure professional operators. They get the job done and hold tight to their core values and integrity – their care for the well being of the themselves and the team. It was refreshing to read something that concentrated more on the mission yet always had that underlying element that something could happen at any moment if a relationship was pushed. Sometimes, you just have to be patient when it comes to matters of the heart – just to let it develop at its own pace.
Dale delivers a page-turning drama, intrigue and military action – with BRANDON’S BLISS. A well written story, highly recommended for those that love a military based heroes and heroines. It’s always wonderful to revisit team members. Not only are they a team, they are family and will have your back no matter what. You also get a sneak peek into the next story revolving around Brandon’s former team mate and Levi’s newest recruit – Liam. I can’t wait
Another fantastic book from Dale Mayer. A team goes to Africa to find Bullard. There is a lot of action and intrigue. A lot of the action going on can be relateable in real time. Catch this read about Brandon and Kasha. This team really works well together when needed and loyal to each other. If u love the miliarty you’ll love this book and the series. Received this book for an honest review.
Brandon had only been at Legendary Security for two days when the call came in that Bullard was missing. A group of them had gone to check out their latest acquisition but Bullard stayed behind wanting to check out a couple more things before returning. When the plane arrived to take him home there was no sign of him anywhere.
Kasha is the one who called, and while not pleased with their time frame knew that was the best they could do. Merk and Stone would travel from their location in Europe, Brandon and Harrison would leave ASAP from Texas.
On arrival they meet Kasha and have a quick meal before taking off again for Bullard’s new property. The place looks like a medieval castle, with stone walls surrounding the huge building complete with parapets surrounding the rooftop walkways. Kasha confidently leads them through the security and once the command center is up she runs a scan of the property which shows heat signals. Although they are too small to be Bullard they couldn’t dismiss them. Merk and Brandon check them out with Kasha following their every move. They find a couple of interesting things, including the cook Bullard hired from the village. However still no sign of Bullard.
With the initial search of the five floors of the house done they move to the garage to discover the truck that came with the property gone. Fortunately all the vehicles have GPS locators on them.
Leaving Stone with Kasha and the cook, the guys leave hoping to find Bullard.
Most frustrating is the protocols Bullard has put in place. They can’t call the plane back early and Bullard’s unconscious. They team find many more interesting things as they search through the house. Something big is going to go down and with no other recourse they call Levi.
Throughout all of this the attraction and respect between Kasha and Brandon grows. It’s Kasha who will have to make the decision of whether to stay with Bullard in Africa or go home to the States and take a chance on a relationship.
Plenty of action in this one, surprises abound with that simmer to sizzle romance I love.
I really enjoy this author’s work. We find ourselves immersed back in the lives of the Legendary Security company. Off to a mission in Africa finds the team in danger. Who can they trust in this crooked country where even the military and government are corrupt?
Plenty of action and a touch of romance makes for an entertaining tale. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Brandon has not long arrived at Levi and Ice’s compound and hasn’t settled in yet but is ready to get on with things and be given a job and when Bullard goes missing from his new holding and Kasha his right hand calls Ice and Levi for their help as Bullards team are all away doing other work. Brandon and the guys make quick work of locating Bullard but uh oh turns out the previous residence of the new Holding left some stuff behind and want it back. From there we have plenty of distrust of the locals, not knowing how many damn entrances the holding actually has as well as the budding romance of Brandon and Kasha. I really liked the way their relationship flowed and wasn’t some silly insta love where they have to jump each other straight away, this is from being around each other and getting to know one another albeit in a bit of a stressful situation. Plenty of action, excitement as well as a few good laughs with these great characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I loved the action and adventure the team went on in this one. Going to Africa and the turmoil and events that go on over there was amazing and enthralling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Having reoccurring characters from prior books is a nice welcome in this series. It is like seeing old friends again. I highly recommend book to anyone who love action and adventure!
Brandon’s Bliss: A SEALs of Honor World Novel (Heroes for Hire Book 13)
by Dale Mayer
Oh my! This story was a rousing surprise and full of intrigue. I really enjoy reading Brandon Bliss, WOW I can hardly believe this book 13, plus I’m fairly new to reading this series so I want to read the entire series. The story is enjoyable and fun. The main characters, actually all of the characters, are loveable and real. The dialog is witty and delightful. This is Brandon and Kasha’s love story it’s exciting and so compelling I couldn’t stop reading until I finish the book and if I had another one I would give read it. I found this a amazing seals read.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Brandon Horton hasn’t been on the job long but it looks like he’ll be learning his job hands on. Kasha Lowry is a strong woman but she’s not above doing what her boss tells her to do. Her boss, Bullard, is something of a mystery. I found myself wanting to know if he has appeared in previous books or will appear in a future book. I had the same feeling about Ice. The author was very good in not letting those two overtake the true story between Brandon and Kasha.
Expect the action to start right from the beginning. The author is very good at building her story first before she attempts to build any type of relationship between her main characters. That has me questioning what her plans are for them as well as the reader. I also had to wonder about the amount of research that was involved here. The whole thing just seemed so realistic, which takes a lot of work. Having not been in the military, I rely on the author to give her characters enough so that I can picture them as having the experience needed to perform their jobs.
It was very easy to immerse myself into the plot. It was also a reminder of what I like about this series. Each book can be read as a standalone. In a lot of series, you need to read the books in order so that you can get the full affect of what the author has created. With this series, each book is an individual story so if you start here you won’t feel lost in any way. But if you really like what you’ve read then at some point you’ll want to spend the time checking out what you may have missed. Usually an Epilogue ends the story but not here. All it does is get you ready for the beginning of the next book in this series.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I loved this book! I loved the way the characters from previous books in the series come together to make a great story! The newest member of Legendary Security, Brandon, fits right in and with the help of others from previous books helps out with an arms problem at Bullard’s holding. He meets one of Bullard’s employees, Kasha and things click right away. If you love action, suspense, and a bit of romance in a book, this is the book for you! I can’t wait for the next book in the series to see what happens next at Legendary Security!
Another great installment of the Heroes for Hire series. This book was non-stop action. I really like the connection between Brandon and Kasha. They meet for the first time when he heads to her home-base to look for her missing boss, Bullock. Brandon is Alpha and protective, but recognizes her capability and lets her do what she needs to do. As their feelings for each other grow stronger, he really wants her to come back home with him, but doesn’t push her. He lets her make up her own mind, which I really like. I love an Alpha man who can recognize his love interests strengths and lets her be herself. She wants to head back to the US to be closer to family, but is torn about leaving her current boss who is like family to her. Will she or won’t she go with Brandon and see where their romance leads? Really enjoyable read. Dale Mayer never disappoints!
*I recieved an ARC copy for an honest review.
The stories from the Legacy Securities series are so diverse, it keeps the interest alive!
I love how each story is connected in some way to the entire series. I like that Kasha is very capable in taking care of herself and providing excellent security when needed. She is a kick-ass kind of woman but underneath she is all female.
Brandon, while very quiet and prefers to sit back from the crowd to observe, he doesn’t hesitate to spring into action when he feels it’s needed.
Smoothly written, with a lot of detail of the landscape and culture of the area. This story is fast-paced, a great read and has a certain level of hotness as well! I loved it.
4.5 Book 15 in the Heroes for Hire shook things up a tad, making a good series even better. Every book is a stand alone, but if you haven’t read any of the series, everyone is a stranger. To the readers of this series its meeting new people and welcoming the old 🙂 You meet Brandon in the first couple of pages say hi to the old team, and boom, action happens and you are off to Africa. I truly enjoyed this plot. It gave us the opportunity to learn more about Brandon, meet Kasha, and completely enjoy them as individuals as they deal with mercenaries, people in the villages struggling to get by, corrupt military and action, action, action. Thank you for the arc, I can recommend this one to all who love suspense, a little mystery, action and romance.
Heroes for Hire would be an awesome TV series. Mixes action with romance, something for everyone.
Legendary Security’s old friend Bullard goes missing while alone in North Africa. Gunrunning mercenaries who were using his newly-purchased holding as a base of operation are forcing nearby villagers to help convince Bullard to give up the property or die. Bullard’s assistant Kasha is short-staffed and calls Levi and Ice for help. Brandon is part of the four-man crew sent to Africa to rescue Bullard, whom they subsequently find drugged, kidnapped, and beaten. Bullard’s condition, the lack of security equipment not yet in place at the holding, and the hours-long wait for medical supplies and reinforcements leave Kasha and her four Heroes for Hire on their own to care for Bullard while holding off attacks from all sides until help arrives.
Brandon’s Bliss is a fine balance of sweetness and danger. Strong, smart and sensitive, Brandon is attracted to Kasha from the first time he sees her. Unlike many of his coworkers, newcomer Brandon is not a player. He is sweet and perhaps a little shy. After five years of experience as a Jill-of-all-trades on Bullard’s crew, Kasha yearns for a break, perhaps to return to the U.S. where her family is. While she loves the excitement of her assignments, the constant violence and death she witnesses has taken a toll. Both are smart, creative, focused and strong under stress. Throughout the most dangerous times, Kasha and Brandon have each other’s backs by instinct based on mutual respect and trust, undistracted by physical attraction. Once the danger is handled, only then do they consider that love might be part of the plan.
