Sherry Thomas ? You cannot go wrong, ever!
Ingeniously clever.
It wasn’t worth the $1.99 I paid for it. I’m sure Sir Arthur is spinning in his grave over this poor attempt to write a Sherlock Holmes mystery. Save your hard earned money.
I usually do not read this type of book but, because of positive ratings, I gave it a try. Set in a day of bloody conflicts and knights, this was a book about loss, gain, and war without the blood and guts of many from this genre. The characters were believable and appealing. The plot was fast moving with just enough description to aid in the setting without minute detail dragging the down.
Even though the ending was predictable, I read on just for the pleasure of the story. This is the first in the series but it certainly stood alone.
A delightful series and addition to the “Sherlock Holmes” legacy.
Plenty of twists to keep the reader busy.
Another excellent book in the series.
Ahhhh! This book!! READ IT.
Sherry Thomas is an articulate, imaginative writer. This series is fantastic. The characters are strong; there is a very strong and determined heroine without being annoying, and one keeps hoping for the really happy ending but it’s not quite there, yet. Hope that’s not a spoiler. Great read. Read the other two first!
I love this series. This last one was really challenging. Excellent mystery. Miss Charlotte Holmes is a terrific heroine. Every bit as good as the original Sherlock and at times even better. 🙂
