I couldn’t have scripted a more perfect night. For one fantastic evening, at a masquerade party in the heart of Manhattan, I’m not the millionaire everyone wants a piece of. Fine–multimillionaire. But who’s counting all those commas? Not me, and not the most intriguing woman I’ve ever met, who happens to like dancing, witty banter, and passionate up-against-the-wall sex as much as I do.There’s no … do.
There’s no need for names or business cards. And that’s why I’m eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my huge…bank account.
Everything’s coming up aces. Until the next day when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash — a lot complicated.)

He’s charming, brilliant, an incredible lover, and right now I want to stab fate in the eyeballs.
I’ve had one goal I’ve been working toward, and lo and behold, my mystery man is the very person who stands between me and my dream job. A job I desperately need since my hard-knock life has nothing in common with his star-kissed one.
But it’s time to put that fairytale night behind me, and focus on learning what makes him tick. Too bad it turns out his quirks are my quirks, and his love affair with New York matches mine.
And as we spend our days together, I discover something else that feels like a cruel twist of fate — I’m falling for this modern-day naughty prince charming, and that’s not an ending I can write to our story.
A standalone contemporary romance!*

Flynn is one of the Parker twins who is constantly being propositioned by everyone he meets trying to be the next big thing. Because of this, he has become very guarded and leary of people, especially woman. I mean, who wouldn’t want a sexy, intelligent and rich man!
Sabrina is out of a job and looking for her chance to write. But when she’s contacted for a job AND meets Mr. Right at a party, everything seems to be falling into place once again. Life is never that easy though and Sabrina will have to pick between what is the most important.
Come As You Are is a story of choices. The choice to trust, take a chance, to fall in love and overall acceptance. This was a wonderful story that I devoured in one sitting. Sabrina and Flynn were definitely #couplegoals. Fun, sexy, sweet and so understanding of one another. I loved to watch them explore New York City and I truly enjoyed the fact there was no unnecessary drama between the characters. Overall, another sweet, fun and sexy read from Lauren Blakely!
4.5
This story is so stinkin cute! Flynn and Sabrina are both adorkable! They have hot chemistry off the bat and then a really sweet slow burn. I loved all the build up of their relationship and how close they became in their situation.
They have such a lightness and playful story going on. They have the kind of story that you don’t want to put down because it puts you in such a good mood. I really adored these two and I just couldn’t stop reading! Another super cute Lauren Blakely read.
I just adore Flynn & Sabrina! I feel like Lauren Blakely can do no wrong when it comes to writing romance. This book is fun, flirty, sexy and just freakin’ fantastic! The story itself was so incredibly good that I just couldn’t get enough. I love the unconventional way our Duke and Angel meet! Their chemistry is sizzling hot! But more than that I think their conversations, witty/fun banter and excursions are my favorite parts of this book!! I felt like I was with them and it makes me want to go back to NYC and do all those cool things they did instead of the big touristy things I’ve done. Seems like so much fun!!
I was a bit worried that they screwed things up there for a bit, but luckily they both have awesome people in their lives that help them to see that a love like theirs is always worth the risk and doesn’t come along every day.
Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely is a contemporary romance novel about Flynn Parker, twin to Dylan Parker whom we met in Ms. Blakely’s Stud Finder. I have been excitedly waiting for Flynn’s story.
Flynn Parker, is a high-tech CEO after founding and selling his first tech start-up with his brother Dylan. Now, he is stopped everywhere with people pitching ideas left and right, which he is always willing enough to listen to because who knows where the next best idea will come from. However, he’s not only pitched business ideas, but he’s also pitched marriage proposals and people asking for money. So he’s not entirely trusting when it comes to people especially after being burned by his ex. However, the opportunity to dress up and hide behind a mask during a masquerade party is entirely too enticing to pass up.
Sabrina Granger has been working hard to support herself and her brother Kevin. She needs to land a job as a journalist and to do that she has to network. Luckily, her friend takes her to a masquerade party where she can network with various tech publications and she is able to land a meeting. Not only is she able to get a chance at a job, but the party also opens the door for a wordsmith and tech nerd to meet.
Fate loves to play games though, when after a magical night, Flynn Parker and Sabrina Granger meet again only to realize that the mystery person from their fairytale evening is now that person holding their future in their hands. Flynn needs Sabrina’s publication to write the feature to help promote his new business venture, while Sabrina needs Flynn’s interview to earn her dream job as a full-time journalist. So both have to kiss the fairytale versions of themselves goodbye as they focus on staying professional. Easier said than done.
I enjoyed Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely. Similar to Stud Finder, we get to follow along Flynn and Sabrina’s growing relationship and watch them fall in love with each interview meeting/date, as well as each text. Each meeting built upon the other as they opened up and showed a little more of themselves and how they were each falling for the other. Also, I enjoyed the details about New York. For a reader who has never been, reading about the locations and learning about little, hidden and not so hidden, details that are woven in, like the numbers on the lamp post, are so interesting and make me want to see it for myself someday. There was some outside tension from “evil” Kermit and Sabrina’s mother, but no other drama to try to ruin what was building to be a beautiful relationship.
I also really liked Sabrina’s relationship with her brother Kevin. They’re very close and supportive of each other. The secret he reveals to Flynn about them at them was so cute! So were the epilogues.
Overall, Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely was a witty, funny, and absolutely romantic story with relatable and engaging characters. I easily fall in to Ms. Blakely’s novels and I enthusiastically recommend that you do to.
(I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)
Flynn is probably one of the most intriguing character that I have read in Lauren Blakely books. I loved everything about him, even his “paranoia” that everyone who shows intrest in him is due to his bank account. And Sabrina? She’s a woman after my own heart. I think I wouldn’t mind being compare to her; smart mouth, quick wits and all around beautiful soul.
“We have lots of favorite places to find. Always is a long long time.””I like always with you.”” You should. You want to know why?”My fiancé asks as a bird chirps overhead. He squeezes my finger and admires my ring. I admire it too. When I look at it, I see hope, and a future, and love. This certainty was worth every risk. ”Why?” “Because always means we live happily ever after”
This story was one of the best by Lauren Blakely. OMG these two made my heart sing – every single thing about this story was PERFECT. The chemistry, funny banter, their non-dates, their personalities it was all just right. I can’t wait for the next story by Lauren Blakely!

I absolutely DEVOURED this book! It was the perfect amount of sweet and sexy, with a pinch of taboo for good measure. No one writes sexy romantic comedies like Lauren Blakely! Come As You Are will have you laughing, swooning, and grinning like a fool!
It’s rare when I like both the hero and heroine equally. Usually one will stand out more than the other, but this time around, Flynn and Sabrina were the perfect pair. Flynn is one of the most adorkably sexy heroes ever and Sabrina was fantastically quirky. Both were intelligent, loyal, loving, and driven individuals. They both have some romantic baggage in their pasts, but it’s clear from the moment these two meet that they just fit.
The connection between them was jumping off the pages and I could not get enough of their sexy banter and adorable nerd speak. Yes, their meet cute wasn’t exactly conventional and showcased their chemistry more anything (scorching hot by the way!), but it’s the time afterwards that really exemplifies their incredible connection. Their amazing and off the beaten path adventures around New York City allows their relationship to organically grow and flourish. The build-up between these two was so delicious and was the perfect amount of will they/won’t they. I also appreciated that there was no unnecessary angst or other man/woman drama, but rather just our two characters navigating this path together.
I absolutely loved this one and my heart was so full as I turned the last page. Come As You Are is my new Lauren Blakely favorite!
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
Lauren Blakey is one of my go to authors so there was no surprise that I signed up to read Come As You Are and this book did not disappoint, It was read in one sitting because I needed to see where Flynn and Sabrina’s journey took them.
What can I say about Flynn Parker, every woman wants him, everybody wants his funding but all he wants is to meet someone who wants him for him not for his money or his company and what better place than a masquerade ball to meet someone who doesn’t know the man behind the mask.
Sabrina Granger’s life is not going to plan, jilted at the alter, losing her job and she is struggling to get by but life will not get her down she is quirky and witty and a masquerade ball seems the perfect place to let her hair down and forget.
Life doesn’t always go to plan and Sabrina cannot believe the job offer from her dream company is to interview Flynn Parker the man she now knows is the man behind the mask ……….
Every book I read by this author gives me another insight into just how diverse her characters and stories are, she makes you feel part of the journey and she makes you feel a kinship with every character. Once again another brilliant five star read from the very talented Lauren Blakey.
This Prince needs a Princess, but has run out of places to look. A broken heart, a masquerade, a perfect night and he may have just found his Cinderella. Flynn knows how to get what he wants, but for Sabrina with daylight comes reason. Will she risk her future for a chance at right now? Come as You Are blends the phenom that is Lauren Blakely with the fantasy of a fairytale wish and a dash of cold hard reality. Passion unfolds with a bit of entertainment, a handful of humor and fistful of heart.
COME AS YOU ARE was a sweet and sexy standalone by Lauren Blakely. It’s not often that we get introduced to a CEO who is both alpha and beta at the same time. That’s how Flynn a.k.a Duke came across, to me at least. He’s a tough as nails businessman at the top of his game but has a soft inner strength and the sweetest of hearts. He’s also a charming, sexy and rich NERD!!! He’s THE tech guy of his world who loves math, and books, and well… read and find out what exactly it is about this beautiful man that gets Sabrina going.
Everyone wants a piece of the new ‘god’ whether it’s his Midas touch, his money or his body. He knows they all wants something.
Everyone, except Sabrina. She doesn’t even know who he is when they first meet, and he likes that.
Flynn is rolling out a new tech device and has his hands full with all of that entails, but when Sabrina comes into his life, she’s like a breath of fresh air. He meets her at a masquerade party, no one gets his costume until Sabrina comes along. She’s gone to the party to cheer herself up after months in the doldrums and having just lost her job. Sabrina’s costume catches Flynn eye as well as her sexy as sin body, but it’s her mind that really gets him reved up.
Sabrina is at a bad place in her life. She’s kinda lost and lonely, having been recently jilted and then lost her job, but she’s kept her sassy sense of humor and her quirky nature but her heart has been pummeled and now she hides it behind an icy wall.
So, she decides to cheer herself up and go to the masquerade party her friend Courtney asked her to accompany her to, not thinking for one second she’d meet her Prince Charming there. She enjoys making her own clothes, the costume she wears to the party was made by her own fair hands and she loves that Flynn guessed what she was dressed as. She figures his out quite quickly too, unlike everyone one else. Their attraction soon ramped up even though their faces were mostly hidden by their asks and it wasn’t long before one of Sabrina’s fantasies was being reenacted in the library. That was soo hot. They planned to meet again next day to continue but without their disguises.
Before Sabrina gets to sees Duke again, she finally gets offered a job to write about a new tech, being brought to the market by none other than… you guessed it. Flynn Parker.
Yes, that Flynn.
They hadn’t exchanged names at the party, just gone by the nicknames they gave each other, so when they met at the place where Angel and Duke were meant to find each other, it comes as a shock.
So, now she’s faced with a moral dilemma.
Work or love.
She can’t have both… or can she.
