My first time reading this author! She did a great job I think although her Gerri was a little conceited and snobbish lol. But it was an interesting take on how Gerri comes up with how she gets her premonitions. It’s cool to see how each different author expresses Gerri’s clairvoyance. I find that cool to see how they will come up with how Gerri activates her mojo. This story was short and sweet. I’m very interested in seeing Caitriona get a book. I fell in love with her story and I’m a sucker for a sob story like hers and I truly hope that down the line she gets a mate. I will definitely be reading more from this author. 5 from me

When Connie asked Gerri Wilder for help for her bestie, she offered to do anything for her. But she forgot all about that promise until Gerri came a calling!

Connie may have lived with the pack all her life but she always felt…separate from them somehow. She even turned off the pack link as it got to her too much. She has finally been given permission to live alone in town and she is ready for the new challenge.

Rocky is a lion with a talent for baking. He owns the best bakery in town, Heavenly Scents. When one of his staff is called away unexpectedly and he then gets a large order in, he wonders how he’ll fulfil the order. But when a local Alpha volunteers Connie as a replacement, Rocky doesn’t know if she’ll be a nightmare or a dream come true. But when he meets Connie he realises that as a wolf pack means everything to them and then does all he can to thwart the mating pull he feels, because he can’t separate her from her pack to live with him in isolation from them and he can’t be part of a pack again.

But as we know fate, destiny and definitely not Gerri can be out run or denied!!!

These two are great characters. Connie the friend who feels disconnected from her pack and sidelined by her bestie. Rocky, the loner Lion, who likes baking more than people! I loved how the tension mounted between these two once the bond was recognised as unlike in other books, they had to wait to consummate their bond fully as Rocky needed someone to mind the store LOL. Gerri is back at her Machiavellian best!

On Cloud Nine…..

Gerri, is up to no good, or rather good again, but this time it’s her last client who she can’t get out of her mind. She didn’t have much interaction with Connie when she begged Gerri to find her BFF mate, but she just couldn’t forget the sadness she saw in Connie’s eyes. So she hatches a plan to get rid of that sadness and you know how Gerri’s plans wind up….:p

Now that Connie no longer has her BFF to hang with, or to cheer her up, she really feels out of place in the pack and follows some very sage advice and moves into town. If Connie had imagined that moving into town would lift her spirits so, she should have done it sooner. Just one day in town and already her wolf starts to act up at the slightest scent and it’s heavenly! To top it all off she gets a job and look out cause the heavenly scent is back and she gets to enjoy it everyday at her new job.

Lion shifter Rocky Silver is a loner, so much so that as soon as he could he left his pride and he has been doing just fine at what he loves, baking. That is why when he realizes that his new employee aside from being his mate is also a wolf, he is heartbroken…..Will Rocky sacrifice his life long ways to be with his mate whom belongs to a pack, or will he forever deny himself?

Look out Rocky because Gerri will not be daunted!

I’m a big fan of Milly Taiden’s Paranormal Dating Agency Series, so when I heard the whispers across Facebook about the possibility of Taiden opening up her PDA World for a Kindle World Collection, I was beyond excited, but I did have reservations. Several authors have syndicated their series and invited other writers to pen stories in their world, some successful and, unfortunately, some not. I’m a dyed in the wool Gerri Wilder/PDA fan and was concerned that another author would not be able to capture the true essence of this series, its world, premise, characters, and all the little details that make it great, but after discovering A.K.Michaels would be one of the participating authors, my doubts were assuaged. I knew if anyone could satisfy my standards for the Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle World Collection, it’s Michaels and she totally nailed it – AGAIN! Heavenly Scents is a wonderful addition to the Paranormal Dating Agency Kindle Worlds Collection and another fabulous story from Michaels! But let’s talk details!

Heavenly Scents is a well-crafted, fast-paced, easy-to-follow, lighthearted, standalone sexy romp filled to the brim with heart-stopping danger, nail-biting drama, laugh-out-loud humor, sweet romance, and steamy passion. This story is novella length and a relatively quick read but packs quite a punch. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with multiple perspectives, which isn’t at all unusual for Michaels and one of the things I enjoy most about her writing. I love knowing what’s going on in the minds of all the major characters but in this story, the primary points of view are from the two protagonists, lovely, bubbly, selfless, sometimes mischievous, but always sweet wolfshifter Connie Davidson and hot, handsome, introverted lionshifter Rocky Silver. Naturally, we also have a perspective from the world’s best matchmaker, Gerri Wilder. Oops, my mistake – Gerri is the galaxy’s best matchmaker! lol… The dialogue is smart, snappy, well-executed, at times hilarious, and flows effortlessly. And the characters are an absolute delight! I was immediately smitten with Connie and Rocky. We met Connie in Her Purr-fect Surprise, the first book of the Silver Streak Pack, when she contacted Gerri Wilder and volunteered to indenture herself as Gerri’s ‘slave’ in lieu of payment if the famous matchmaker would find a mate for her best friend Cyndi. As a result, Cyndi is now happily mated and living with her soulmate and his pack, leaving Connie unhappy, lonely, and depressed. Connie has never been particularly comfortable living within the pack and is struggling to adjust to the changes in her life without her best friend. Rocky is the hardworking, determined-to-succeed owner of Heavenly Scents Bakery in the nearby town and has always been a loner, and prefers his privacy over living with a Pride. And make no mistake, Rocky may be a big cat, but he’s no pussycat. He’s a lean, mean, fighting machine, willing to do whatever it takes to claim and protect what’s his, including his mate, even if it means squaring off against a rogue. Oh my! Rocky may not be a wolf, but he’s all alpha male and king of the jungle. Okay, maybe not a real jungle, but he’s king of the asphalt jungle, which brings me to another thing I love about Michaels’ stories – diversity and variety. Sometimes they’re dark and suspense-filled with lots of danger, action, and adventure, and sometimes they’re cute, humorous and lighthearted, but no matter the genre, world or archetype, they’re always original, imaginative, and creative with heartwarming storylines and endearing characters. Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Was it perfect? No, but it was perfect for me! There were a few minor boo-boos but nothing that distracted me from the story and certainly didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book. Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers, especially ones who enjoy sexy romance filled with cutesy humor, a sprinkling of danger, and a generous measure of heartwarming romance, steamy passion and lots of sweet heat! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
