Christine Feehan takes romance full throttle in the second gripping novel in her #1 New York Times bestselling Torpedo Ink series.Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club—and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her … who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.
As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers he lived through hell with. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy, or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.
Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again—especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help, and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagined…

Loving this new series, maybe because I love riding motorcycles. I love the characters and how it intertwines with the Drake Sisters series. I look forward to reading the other stories of Torpedo Ink members.
I am completly in love with this series. Torpedo Ink is more then an MC, they are a family rooted in a harsh history most have not survived. Each member is damaged in their own way, and the all have no idea how to mix with society. This book is about Steele and Breezy. They have a history that started out with love and lies, that sent Breezy away from everything she knew to keep her safe. Now she is back three years later and needs help to get their son back. Not going to lie, this book has some scenes that will be hard for some to read, but they are part of the story. And it gives you a better understanding who Torpedo Ink is, what they stand for and who each member is. Breezy is an amazing character that puts everything on the line for her son, and her relationship with Steele is complicated, yet they make it work for them. I just love this series.
Sex got in the way of this one but it fits the stereotype of a bad ass motorcycle club with a heart! Good drama.
Christine Feehan did it again. Well thought out and she did her research. If you are a Feehan fan you are going to want to read this and get the update on more of the MC guys. Sorry no spoilers here people. :’)
A biker club, and all the workings of that grouping, keep this book entertaining and a page turner. All the stereotypes of bikers go out the window. This group grew up in Russia where, as children, they were captured, tortured, terrorized, & trained how to use sex and romance to kill. Christine Feehan is an artist at pacing the story and the back story. And the back story creates a tension that explains all the members of Torpedo ink, That this group men and women not only escaped, but overcame their trauma to become heroes is amazing but honest. What the perpetrators did was only strengthen the resolve of the victims (and that is not really the right word because there were all heroes even while imprisoned, tortured, and trained. I highly recommend this book with one caveat: there is an underlying theme of violence which for me demonstrated how the group survived, escaped and became heroes.
As with all of Christine Feehan’s books, It is a very well developed story line and loved the book. I have read both of the books in this series and will continue to buy them as they are published.
one of her best
I love this new Torpedo Ink series! Christine never fails to capture you completely in her stories. Although this book is a little dark and gritty it touches on a subject many of us would like to pretend doesn’t exist. Some horrors never leave us. Thank you Christine for your bravery and another great book.
I loved this book
Christine Feehan is a magician with her characters.
This is book two in this fantastic new series.
Steele is the VP of Torpedo Ink and he had Breezy once and pushed her away and now she has returned with more than just bruises.
The club is now on a mission to save a precious bundle that Breezy never told Steele about. Breezy, however, is not that meek woman she once was. After a horrible life, and being thrown away by Steele she is strong and he isn’t going to win her easily.
Action packed, chills and emotions just like a great book should give.
I can not wait to see whose story we get next. I suggest this story if you love a great MC book with all the emotions. I think it can be read as a stand-alone however I’d suggest grabbing the first book.
Loved everything about this page turning story.
Another great book from Christine Feehan
Steele was a great character and it was nice to hear his backstory as terrible as it was. Breezy also had a horrible background and was convinced she was done with MC’s. When she has to have help to get her son back she turns to Steele. Loved the interaction and the story. Heads up there is lots of sex but also some sweet times. Love the secondary characters from previous books and am enjoying the ride as these characters build a life and try to learn what is norm.
When I read the first book in the Torpedo Ink series, Judgment Road, I liked it but I felt a bit lost since I hadn’t read either the Drake Sisters or the Sea Haven series that this series spun off from. I still haven’t gotten around to reading the other series and other than giving me the reminder I need to move those books up on my TBR, I had no issues this time around. In fact, I liked this book even more, although I have to warn you, with Steele and his Torpedo Ink’s family’s dark past, like may not be the right word. This covered some challenging topics that were hard to read but I couldn’t put it down.
“Control is an illusion, Steele. I learned that a long time ago. It doesn’t matter who appears to have it. We really only can control ourselves.”
If you haven’t figured it out yet, Steele and his brothers and sisters are effed up in a huge way. Their pasts are dark and ugly and I didn’t like reading about their stories at all. What I appreciated was the unshakable bond they formed as children while trying to survive a hell hole. Even when he was a child, Steele was assigned the impossible task of keeping all the other children alive and he was doomed to fail, only saving eighteen of the hundreds of kids that ended up in the hellhole with them. Because of this, Steele may be more messed up than the rest of them.
Bree was the daughter of one of the Sword’s MC’s chapter presidents but he didn’t treat her as a prized possession. Instead, she was beaten and abused her whole life. She became Steele’s when he was undercover with the Swords but he chased her away so she wouldn’t get hurt when they took the Sword’s trafficking business down. The problem was, he did his job too well and hurt her to the extent she made it to where she couldn’t be found after they achieved their objective. That is until the worst happened and she had to find him.
“You tore me apart, Steele,” she admitted in a small voice. “Completely and utterly apart. I didn’t think I could survive and I didn’t even know if I wanted to.”
The chemistry between them was never in question, but Bree had lost trust in him and that’s a hard thing to earn back. This meant there was a lot of baggage to be unpacked if she was ever to give him a chance again. And then there was the real reason she had come to him and the impossible task set before him and the terrible cost if they failed.
I liked both Steele and Bree although I got frustrated with her inability to see the forest through the trees. There were also things that felt repetitive though not to the degree that the first book had. This book was full of emotion and gave me all the feels, was sexy as hell, but also gave me lots of edge of my seat action. Because of the tough to take subject matter, I’ll be careful to pick when I read the next one, but there is no doubt I’ll be reading it.
Rating: 4 Hard to Read But Even Harder To Put Down Stars
What a ride this book is! Christine Feehan does an amazing job telling Steele and Breezy’s Story in Vengeance Road. She weaves an emotional tapestry with just the right amount of action, steamy passion, humor, heart stopping moments, dreamy sigh moments, and the wonderful strength found in the bonds of family, no matter the composition of it. The deliverance of Vengeance and hand delivered Karma by Torpedo Ink , though gruesome, is satisfying.
But what immerses me into this book every time I read it (it’s been 3, so far) is the emotional journey this couple has to take. Christine gives us a visit into the lives of people emotionally, physically, and sexually abused. And how the events shape their ability to interact in society. Steele, a healer forced to be a killer, to watch those he wanted to heal die, leaving him scarred inside and out, living each day to survive, make sure those he cares for survive, and saving others from suffering anything near what his life was, found a healer of his own.
Breezy Simmons, damaged by her life in an outlaw MCC, the Swords and her past with Steele, has grown and wants nothing to do with the life Steele is so dependent on, the one he swears is so different. Her strength, her power for survival is the gentle giving way she approaches life, knowing where she is needed and anticipating what is needed. Like her name her presence is a healing balm, a warmth to a chilled soul. She is perfect for Steele.
They are thrown back together by heart-wrenching events, and the ride they take them on, open them both to an understanding of each other. Forces Steele from his horrific past to face his demons, and even more scary for him, hope for a future with Breezy. The hard part is learning to adjust to where they fit in each other’s lives. To make the choice to change. The Torpedo Ink Club can remain and he can have something separate and special with Her.
Christine does an amazing job, with the danger and rescue this Club is sent on, to bring Breezy to accept them, to know she can depend and be a part of them. They are not the same as the abusive world she left. In doing so the readers get to know club members in more depth, personalities show and their special skills used to survive and to save others are woven into the action and in scary or funny moments. By the end of the book you’re not only happy to see Steele and Breezy on the Road towards a HEA, you’re hoping all the members find their someone and the Road towards their own HEA.
This series is going to be intense, emotional and have the reader so immersed in their outcomes! Rooting for them all!
I couldn’t even put it down. My husband kept hiding it from me, every chance he could.
This is book 2 in the Torpedo Ink series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone however I recommend reading the first book just so you understand how they came to be and all the different relationships between the members. This one is the MC’s VP Steele and the woman he walked away from years ago, Breezy. Breezy was born into a ruthless MC and was determined that once she was out she was never going back. But all that changes when her hand is forced and she has to find the man who threw her away years ago in order to try to protect the one thing that matters the most to her. Steele never thought he would see Breezy again after driving her away in order to keep her safe. It didn’t mean he ever forgot about her or how he felt about her. Now that she is back, he won’t let her walk away from him again. Especially once he finds out exactly why she came to their club in the first place.
Let me start of by saying I absolutely loved the first book in this series and I was really hoping the second book would be just as good. And it definitely is in my opinion!! I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it and I absolutely loved every minute of it!! Steele has just as many demons as the rest of the crew and thoroughly breaks my heart when you find out one of the major ones and what happened! Bree had a horrific childhood as well but she came through it damaged but determined not to let it define her or her life. I loved them both!! Steele is over protective but he is also loving and sweet. Bree is willing to fight for the people she loves no matter what happens to herself. And they are absolutely perfect for each other. I don’t want to say too much because it might give away some things that I feel are better left read yourself but I absolutely loved every minute of this story! And the way the family backs everyone no matter what? I could only wish that all families actually worked that way! It’s an awesome thing!! But let me just say-I really need Savage’s story!! Like yesterday because everything he says and does just makes me more and more curious about him and what drives his thoughts and actions! I want to know about them all but definitely about him! And about some of the new characters we see as well!! This is how you suck me in LOL! You add characters that make me need to know more! Love it!!
Christine Feehan’s writings are phenomenal! I look forward to every book she releases!
Vengeance Road is a ride or die novel that will keep you wanting more. Steele is an excellent example of an alpha male. Breezy is strong and independent woman. They are perfect in every way for one another.
I loved every page!
