I KNEW BETTER. MY HEART DOESN’T CARE…This wasn’t supposed to happen.Marshal Howard is a death wish wrapped in mystery. Over six feet of hulking muscle that screams leave me the hell alone. Cold, rude, insanely overprotective single dad.Everyone in our little town warned me to stay far, far away. I didn’t listen.I answered the Castoff’s nanny ad because no one else would.I got too close.I saw … no one else would.
I got too close.
I saw through his vicious reputation.
I found the impossible.
A call to reckless nights entangled and on fire. My destroyer in every kiss. A man who’s turning my heart inside out, making me a fool.
So what if his pillow talk tears the stars from the sky and lays them in my trembling fingers? I haven’t lost my mind.
If it was just the bad blood with him and my family, maybe we’d work through this. Maybe we’d find paradise. Just me, him, and that adorable little girl.
But surprises come in threes. Like the lines on the pregnancy test.
How do I love this beast and have his baby when Fate keeps giving us a big fat middle finger?

This daddy story had me intrigued. I never new what was going to happen next. I loved the mystery as to what happened during the war, and how it showed how the family back home was affected by it. I also enjoyed reading the love a daddy feels for his child, and the woman that he comes to care about and cherish. I have to say this is one of my favorite daddy story so far.
This book is amazing and a wonderfu; read of a cold hearted single father that is very loving tolds his daughter. The father is in need of a nanny for his daughtet so can work more hrs and get his jobs completed. Plus he is after the one man that has ruined his life and left him wanting to make a change for the familys that lost everthing. The nanny that he highers is the sister of the man that ruined his life. He has issue that he has to deal with as he has fallen in love wiyh her and finds out that shenhas somthing that will be very important to him before he leaves the state to start over.. this is a wonderful read..
A cute, sweet, but sometimes frustrating, fun, and entertaining story. I enjoyed this book immensely
When Sadie moves back home to help take care of her ill mother it was the right choice for her family to make. Not necessarily herself. Thrown back in the middle of family drama has her reevaluating what important to her. Then she meets Marshall and all bets are off.
Marshall is a single father, ex military, town outcast. The only thing important to him is his young daughter and his business, so he does what every man who needs more time to himself does. Hire a nanny. But it just so happens the nanny is the younger sister of his archenemy.
His book had a lot of family drama. A Lot!! But that being said it was still a really good read. I adored Marshall’s relationship with Mia, seriously the cutest.
Surprise Daddy has all the Single Dad, alpha male meets virgin nanny goodness. I enjoyed this story very much.
Why is it that every time I read a Nicole Snow creation my emotions get away from me? Of course, she did it again, this time with Surprise Daddy.
Marshal Howard was a man bent on avenging the death of his brothers in a mission gone wrong. Known as Castoff in the community, he falls for Sadie, a nanny he hired for Mia, his daughter.
Sadie, he realizes too late, was the sister of the man he blames for his comrade’s deaths.
The moment Marshal realizes that he and his daughter cannot live without Sadie, Fate intervenes and tries to separate him from his love.
Of course, at the end, both Marshal and Sadie find their happiness, but good golly, Nicole Snow sure knows how to twist the knife into this poor reader’s heart!
Add to the fact that I was listening to the audible version of the book, which was narrated by Aletha George and Douglas Berger (swooning here), all I can say is, after a marathon of almost six hours immersed in this story, I find myself a wreck ‘coz damn, Marshal and Sadie’s story was Just. So. Good!
Dear reader, grab those tissues and hold on tight!
Loved this book.
Nicole had done it again with another fantastic read.
Lobed the storyline and the characters and their connections.
Adored the way Marshal was with his Daughter Mia.
He truly did worship her
Surprise Daddy by Nicole Snow a surprising five-star read. As always Nicole Snow has written a sublime read, Marshall Howard is a man that people tell you to avoid, but sometimes those are the men you need in your life. He is well written and gruff at times but he is also great and someone I would happily curl up with next to a roaring fire. This is a great sweet read with enough passion and drama to keep you hooked.
I always love books with bad boy and this is no different!!
Wow! This was so much more than the description let me believe. The tenderness, the angst, the love, the insanity – it is all there. Sadie did not seem to be as young as she really was. Marshal definitely was not a teddy bear pretending to be overbearing. He had real pain and baggage. Marshal and Jackson’s history is a large divide in Marshal and Sadie’s happiness. I was truly surprised at Jackson’s take on his own issues. There were plenty of spins on the way to this happily ever after for Marshal and Sadie.
You will definitely want to 1-click this book!! Surprise Daddy is another fantastic story by Nicole Snow. Marshall is a single dad raising a daughter in a town that has turned its back on him. You will understand why as you read along and find yourself wanting him to complete his mission. Sadie is practically an angel after her ‘run in’ with a very grumpy Marshall and can see through his gruffness because he needs a nanny for his little girl Mia. Sadie’s family is very judge mental and tries to run her life. We have to read through the secrets and misunderstandings to get to the HEA but it is well worth it. You won’t be disappointed at the end unless you are like me and want to read more of Marshall and Sadie’s story.
** I did receive a ARC and this is my voluntary review.**

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy
Surprise Daddy is a sweet, intense, sexy, emotional ride. This book starts with family drama and ends with heartwarming, steamy sweetness. The characters are well developed and the story moves along seamlessly. I couldn’t put this book down and easily read it in one sitting. Nicole Snow took me on an emotional dance with this book that culminated in a sexy, sweet HEA that I won’t soon forget. Loved it!
This story is about Marshal and Sadie. Sadie has an encounter with Marshal in the doctor’s office where she is interning as a phlebotomist. Sadie has to take blood from Marshal’s daughter, who is pretty young. The office staff warn her that the patient’s dad is one to contend with. He is known around the town as the Castoff. Rude, crass and standoffish with everyone but his daughter. People stay away from Marshal like he has the plague. Sadie takes the blood from his daughter and Marshal has angry words with her as he leaves. Sadie notices that Marshal left an advertisement for needing to hire a nanny. She decides to inquire about the job and Marshal hires her. There is a spark between them but neither are sure how to act on it.
This is a gradual love that grows. Sadie doesn’t let Marshal get away with much and holds her ground. She challenges him and what comes out of it is more than understanding. Marshal starts to come out of his emotional black hole and realizes how great love and life can really be. He begins to trust again and just maybe love.
The characters are well developed and I could feel Marshal’s pain and determination to avenge his fallen soldiers. The ending came quick and I am not sure if it couldn’t have been expanded out a little further. But this was a good read and I really liked it!

Exciting!
This is a fast-paced exciting book. These two people find out the hard way that they need each other and also discover that two complete opposites can find themselves attracted to each other, as well.
Marshall can hardly think beyond the promise he made to his fallen brothers. Each day, he tries to come up with a plan to honor that promise but it has to be done legally and honorably so he won’t lose Mia or Sadie.
Sadie finds herself in love with the town outcast. He is a fierce, growly, handsome, mountain of a man that she is employed by. Being nanny to the sweet Mia makes Sadie believe she can have the normal family she craves.
This story has many emotional twists and turns that are heart wrenching and tender at the same time. Marshall is a rough, tough, simple man and I enjoyed how the sweet, but stubborn Sadie gets under his skin.
This story has it all, suspense, angst, hot, handsome guy, sweet, sexy gal, hot sex, love and the required HEA!!
Wow 2018 powerful, sexy, unpredictable, amazing and exciting book. Nicole knows how to grab a hold and keep you guessing on what is going to happen. Marshal is ex-military who has some bad experiences from overseas, a single father and someone who the townspeople do not like. Sadie is someone who likes to help everyone and who helps take care of her mother. Sadie’s brother is ex-military and has a problem with Marshal. Very interesting book. You won’t be disappointed by this book.
I received this book as an ARC copy for a voluntarily honest review.
“You slayed the demons. You gave me hope.”
When I saw the cover for this story and the title; I thought it was going to be a romantic comedy; lighthearted and fun. It was sweet, but emotionally dark. I want to start by saying that I am not sure that the title fits this story: there is a “surprise pregnancy” but it was near the end of the story and was almost a secondary story line. Also I felt like cover should have been a bit darker in its visuals as this is not a “bright” story (at least for me). These are little issues that did not affect my rating, just thought I would mention in case someone is buying the book by the cover.
Review:
What a beautiful and emotional story of the personal aftermath of war! This is a story of what some people have to live with, deal with, and suffer through when they are asked to live with the choices of war. This is a darker story, not in actions, but in emotions. It is contains a bruiting cold alpha male, a young beautiful and persistent woman, a sweet smart child and a fluffy (albeit fat) cat.
This is the story of Sadie and Marshal. Sadie is a student who has an encounter with Marshal and is driven to know more about him. She is determined, smart, and full of love. Marshal is the town outcast. He is cold, crass, and emotionally absent (to all but Mia; his daughter). From the first meeting (maybe their second), there is an instant spark between Sadie and Marshal; it starts as an angry determined spark, but there none the less. I enjoyed reading the budding romance between these two as it was built on and enhanced by understanding, unconditional love, trust and faith in each other. Sadie holds her own against Marshal and does not let him get away with his emotional distance, she challenges him and proves there is more to life than his painful memories. I have to say I fell in book lust with Marshal at the 4% mark, and only fell deeper as the story went on. I do believe he found his forever in Sadie.
This is more than a romance; it is a personal journey into the path of healing; with a bit of revenge on the side. I loved Sadie and Marshal, but the secondary characters; especially, Sadie’s mother, grew the story to be more than just a common romance. There are many difficult issues that are faced in this story: PTSD, revenge, hatred; along with many strong emotions: anxiety, anger, fear, passion and love. There is a bit of humor, some sweetness, and a swoon worthy scene or two. It felt emotionally dark at times, as I could feel Marshal’s pain, and I wanted to help him get his vengeance; but the story was beyond my expectations. I did not put it down; I crawled inside the story and lived there till the end.
The outcome of this story is sweet if a bit rushed at the end. Most of the action is in the last few chapters and conclusion of the story. If I had to make one change to the story it would be that I would have loved more action throughout the story mixed into the budding romance. I also would have loved an extended epilogue a few years later; out of pure curiosity to where the characters are now.
Nicole Snow has never disappointed me in her works. She has proven to be a universal writer and perfected whatever story she decides to write. This was just another wonderful story and worth the read.
