From USA Today bestselling author, Kahlen Aymes comes and angsty, sexy, stand-alone that will renew your faith in unconditional love. Chase, I need you. Please come. -TeaganSomething inside me snapped as her text screamed from the screen of my phone. My heart started pounding and I was instantly sucked into a vortex of emotions, pulled unwillingly into a past I desperately wanted to forget. … pulled unwillingly into a past I desperately wanted to forget.
Teagan Tessler was the love of my life; at least, I thought so. My professional soccer career was part of the future we had planned together, but an offer a year ahead of schedule sent me to London. Just months after I left, she married my best friend Jensen without explanation. It left me completely and utterly destroyed by the two people I loved the most.
After six difficult years, I could finally breathe again and my professional and personal life was in a good place. I’d have to be insane to consider ripping open those wounds, but whatever it was, this had to be huge.
The truth of my feelings resonated; my head told said to shut off the phone and forget her forever, but my traitorous heart told me to get on a plane, no questions asked. Clearly, I wasn’t over her, but could I risk my heart again?
Trading Yesterday is a roller coaster of emotion; ultimate loss, longing, betrayal, and forgiveness that will restore your faith in unconditional love and leave you gasping for more!

I have no doubt you will fall in love with these characters and their story. I did.
Thank you Kahlen for always giving us amazing stories.
An EPIC love story!
Trading Yesterday (A second chance, stand alone, secret baby, sports romance) by Kahlen Aymes is one truly epic true love romance. This well written book has all the feels. Every emotion that could be felt by a person, Chase and Teague felt it, their story is so very emotionally dramatic and dynamic. It’s complicated, and yet, in the end, unending love cannot be denied (and neither will Remi!).
I was immediately enraptured with these characters and their plight from the first word and felt an anxious urgency to see their story to it’s conclusion. There was really so much at stake! The plot was wonderful; as tragic as it was euphoric. Between Chase, Teague and Remi there was never a dull moment or a second without some kind of feeling behind it. This love story will make you laugh out loud, cry sad, mad and especially happy tears.
This was my first Kahlen Aymes book and I really enjoyed reading it. I’ll be sure to read more in the future.
Overall, epic is the perfect word for this wonderful love story and the HEA is the absolute definition of epic and captivatingly adorable, it literally brought tears to me eyes.
Another emotional heartbreaking beautiful story by Kahlen Aymes, you will find yourself falling for Chase without even thinking, the love within Chase, Teagen and Jensen is one that will wrap around your heart and never let go until the end. This story was a hard one to read for me as a life of a child is threatened, but I can only say the author did a formidable way to write the story in a way that is just perfect. It is a story that will be in your mind and all I can say is please read it, words won’t do it justice.
Perfect. The angst grabbed my by the seat of my pants and didn’t let go! FIVE STARS.
Good God this book was good. Heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time. First your heart breaks for Teagan and Chase and then you want to hate Teagan and Jensen and then you just end up loving all 3 of them. Then you have Remi who is such a bright spot in all their lives. Reading Jensen’s story now.
What an emotional roller coaster! I loved this booked! A second-chance love story about Chase and Teagan. Once lovers Chase feels betrayed when he leaves town for his career and Teagan ends up marrying his best friend behind his back and doesn’t say anything. Multiple lives were changed by that decision.
Years later things change and Teagan reaches out to Chase. After everything can he really not answer her call? Does he need closer? What a great story!!
The best kind of stories are the ones that stay with you for years to come and resonant so deeply with you. This is exactly what Trading Yesterday did for me. Usually in a romance novel you are invested and captivated by the main couple of the story but this wasn’t the case in this story. Yes, I was invested in Teagan, Chase and Jensen’s story but what truly evoked emotions in me was Remi and the fight to save her life. As a parent, having a sick child is one of the worst things that can ever happen. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I cried throughout this story. Some tears were for utter and complete agony over not knowing what would happen with Remi and other times I was crying for joy over the triumphs this unique family had.
As you may of noticed, I listed three main characters, besides Remi and that is because this book is centred around the parent’s story also and how certain choices led them to hardships and consequences that they are now trying to sort out as Remi is fighting the battle of her life.
As heartbreaking as parts of this book were, I loved Teagan, Chase and Jensen’s backstory and how they came to be in the situations that they are in. Teagan definitely made some questionable choices but one thing is clear, she always loved Chase and never meant to cause this unbearable pain for anyone. Despite all that the parent’s were going through in this emotional story, they always had one goal and it was ensuring Remi got better and was happy. They never let their own personal issues effect Remi and that is a true test of one’s character. Remi for her part is such a brilliant and beautiful little girl. She literally melted my heart every time she spoke. As sick as she is, she always had a smile and loved being around her family.
This story broke my heart and slowly pieced it back together. I was emotionally invested in this story from start to finish and I know this story is going to stay with me for years. I cannot wait to read Jensen’s story and see what happens next.
Tading Yesterday is book 1 in the new series Trading Yesterday written by tha talented author Kahlen Aymes. This book is the story of a sexy soccer player, Chase “Ace” Forrester, who leaves behind the love of his life, Teagan Tessler to follow his dream of playing soccer professionally with his favorite team The Arsenal in London. This story has it all; amazing characters, passion, love, secrets, humor, dancing, second chances and lots of Faith and Hope. I highly recommend reading Trading Yesterday to anyone who loves an amazing second chance romance. And you will absolutely fall in love with Remi. But you will need a lots of tissues. Can’t wait to read Jensen’s story.
This is a story of devastation, comfort, sacrifices and unconditional love.
Teagan and Chase are very much in love but when Chase accepts a soccer career in London, he loses everything he ever wanted instead. He thought if he proved himself to Teagan’s father, he would finally be good enough for her. He needed to be something, someone but at what cost?
Teagan was excited to tell Chase the news of the pregnancy but with his excitement of playing for Arsenal, she decided to keep it a secret for a little longer. She knew if she told Chase that he would not follow his dreams and stay to look after her and the baby and then maybe later even resent her?
Her father was an “EVIL SOD” he didn’t like Chase and when he found out that Teagan was pregnant, he threatened to ruin Chase’s career before it even started. Chase’s best friend Jensen promised to look after Teagan when Chase left for London but Chase never expected Jensen and Teagan to break his heart.
For 6 years Chase has mourned Teagan. He loved her with all of his heart and just couldn’t hate her like he wanted to. Like he needed too!
Teagan was frantic and desperate so she sent Chase a message to please come and see her. She knew he would hate her even more once he found out the truth. She knew he would be devastated and feared he may not even come but she had no other choice. Her baby girl’s life was at stake.
Remi is a beautiful and intelligent little 5 year old girl that has Leukemia and who is fighting for her life. She has been through so much and just wants to be a normal little girl. She knows she is loved by her mom and Jenson but she also knows that one day she will meet the one person whom she will call “Daddy”
Will he rescue her? Will he save her from the bad medicine?
This book had me in tears. Some sad tears and some happy tears. The love that is poured out to this little girl is so heart-warming. I felt it down to my toes.
The story was realistic and very well written. I wish I could give more of the story away but then it would be spoiling it for all. I can just honestly say… IT WAS A FANATSIC STORY SO PLEASE READ IT!!!
Well done to this brilliant Author Kahlen Aymes. Your work is heartfelt and well thought through. You wrote this with so much passion and devotion it was almost as if you lived the story yourself in order to share it with us.
I loved that you wrote with a duel POV. While reading each word, I could almost see the story come alive.
I will for sure recommend this to all.
5 out of 5 hearts!!!
First thing I have to say is I’m a big idiot, I have wanted to read a Kahlen Aymes book, since I really got into indie authors books and I kept seeing an ad on Facebook for a trilogy she brought out, I bought them but still have not read them (idiot). I was scrolling Facebook the other day and a teaser caught my eye and I knew I had to read it, bought it straight away and devoured it.
This was a book I will never forget, it was about second chances, heartbreak, survival, sports star, tough times, deceit and drama. This has been one of my favourite books for 2017.
I laughed, I cried. I laughed and cried at the same time, I just had so many emotions going on while reading this book. I could see this book playing like a movie in my head and I would love to see this book into a movie.
I have never felt such a connection between two characters like Chase and Teagen, it was just so amazing to read a connection as there’s. Of course there’s secrets and drama and so much heartbreak for these two they really have hard times and it was such a journey and beautiful story to read and I am so glad I read this book. I really loved these two and at times I wanted to hate them both and then love them again and then bang their heads together, but that’s exactly what made me love book it gave me the feels.
To be honest though I really felt Remi stole the show for me I am a big sucker for a character like this but she was an amazing character and never thought that I would love a kid as much as I loved her. The way the author wrote this character was perfect, she would have me laughing and crying. She was an absolute trooper for what she had been through and brave.
This book deserves more than 5 Stars. I loved it and it was really a powerful, beautiful story about second chances and forgiving. I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait to read more of Kahlen Aymes. P.S super excited to see who’s gets a book next year can’t wait to read thier story.
This was wonderful story of finding a second chance at love and a man finding out he was really a father. Great read.
Great book! I love this book. It’s very angsty and sweet, but also emotional & annoying at times. I wanted the fmc to be a little more adult about things, but overall it’s a great book. I’d recommend it!
I enjoyed this story and all complexity that it showed me. This story has many layers and I loved learning new ones with every chapter. Chase made a choice that shaped his life but it also shaped the choices of Teagan and Jensen too. This was an emotionally gripping story of a love that never dies, no matter how much you want it to. I loved the character development throughout this story but if I had to say anything negative about this story it was the length of the book, even that just made me fall more in love with Remi she was a doll.
Wow…….does Kahlen know how to blow my mind.
This was a fantastic read, angst, heartache, love and passion.
Chase really is put through the ringer in this one.
Teagan does what she thinks is for the best, but oh the repercussions.
You will fall in love with Remi. She’s amazing.
Your heart will break for Jensen.
You get it all in this, certainly has all the feels.
Bravo Kahlen x
5 Stars is not enough. This is my first read by Kahlen and I’m hooked. This was so much more than I expected it to be from the blurb I read. I was an emotional mess at parts, smiling, frustrated, having a heavy heart, crying, squirming and praying.
“Somehow, I moved on. I breathed in and out. I waited, prayed for, and crawled toward the day when it wouldn’t hurt. I was still crawling on the inside, but I’d learned how to camouflage it so no one could see it anymore. I was sure part of me was dead inside.”
