A man who had everything. A woman who wanted more.Scarlett Trent has been a rule follower all her life. Meeting Paul Jackson changes that. He’s rough around the edges, the epitome of sexy, and strong. He’s everything she wants and more. It’s not all sunshine and roses though because there’s something about Paul that tweaks her protective dad’s radar. She doesn’t care what her dad thinks and rips … radar.
She doesn’t care what her dad thinks and rips up the rule book because Paul’s sizzling bad boy vibe pulls at her like an irresistible magnet. Blessed with a body for sinning, and a face like a fallen angel, he’s a risk taker who challenges her. She can’t get enough, and discovering he has a son isn’t enough for her to hold back.
When Paul invites her to move in, excitement replaces her initial apprehension. That’s short-lived when each new day reveals surprising information about him. He takes more than he gives and wrecks everything he touches. Every revelation tears them apart and at the same time, her friendship with his son grows closer.
Will she stand by Paul as his issues explode, or will she follow the rules like the good girl she used to be?
** Definition of Flawed is the prequel to the Definition series. Bear in mind each event that unfolds takes you one step closer to the series. You don’t need to read this to get into the story, your understanding may be enhanced by doing so. **
It has a storyline that may take you out of your comfort zone because it tackles lack of sobriety, commitment issues, and abandonment.

What an ass. It happens in real life though, maybe not quite that way, but what Paul did does. I’m a thru and thru Dev fan and it was sad to read some of that. Another great book by Lia Peele. Ready for the 3rd book. I really do recommend this series.
Welcome to a new review about a book written in English. I must highlight as a personal prize: this is the fourth book that I devour in the Anglo-Saxon language: HURRA FOR ME! And the best part is that… This will not be the last. And I’m not talking about any other book that falls into my hands, NOT! I’m talk about another book of the Definition Series.
Oh yeah!
“…Between us we must be generating more heat than a natural hot spring”
Definition of Flawed by Lia Peele is a Prequel to the Definition Series. For my part without even knowing the blurb of the following releases, I ventured to read this anteroom of the plot, bringing me a very pleasant surprise.
“What do you not understand? You’re too good for him”.
“You can’t say stuff like that” I say in a quiet voice.
“Even when it’s true? Why do you think my mates come over so often? Fuck, man, they’re not here to see me, they’re here to see you”.
It’s my turn to flush.
“I had no idea…”
“I know”. He shakes his head and sighs. “That’s the appeal”.
Scarlett is a young woman at the beginning of her twenties, who shows us her enormous desire to emancipate herself. Leaving home at that age implies a series of economic adjustments and studies to which she decides at all costs, to undertake. But she is not alone in that decision. Paul Jackson, her boyfriend, is the one who invites her to live with him and like any relationship in their beginnings, both embark on an important adventure like sharing a roof.
“…Until I saw those girls watching him, I hadn’t realized how much he’s changing. Living with someone means you don’t see the changes happen”.
Here is my opinion on Definition of Flawed. Trying not to count spoilers, the plot is giving you surprise data, which makes you doubt some characters; making you enter a spiral of discovery. You discover a lot of passion on the part of the protagonists. But that passion may then turn into other, more interesting emotions. You know a unique, exemplary and wonderful character who you will fall in love with instantly. And at the same time, along with his temperament linked to that of others, you immerse yourself in a drama that touches a reality that many people and families live on the globe.
“…I could never think of you as a sister,” he huffs out. “You’re way too pretty for that to work”.
Now, why did he go and have to say that? Right now you could crack an egg on my sizzling hot cheeks, and it’d be cooked in seconds.
Lia Peele describes very well and in a language between youth and adult, the transformation of Scarlett when leaving home and facing the world. But she (the character) give us much more than that. She shows us the degree of maturity that a twenty-year-old woman can have today. Perhaps aspects such as education, the values that are gained through it throughout life and perhaps the intrinsic way of being, are what show the reader a unique character as this woman is.
“I hate how much I need you, but I do. So much…”
Paul is a very peculiar person. At first glance and as we get to know him, we realize that he is a true, sexy and charming caveman. But this character reveals a series of attitudes that makes us to be psychoanalysts, eager to explain each temperament and action that he committed throughout the plot. I think Paul plays a very important role here. Because it is he who opens the faculty judgment in the readers: “What kind of person is he? Can we trust? Very interesting!
“You’re lucky, did you know that?” Nick says. “Katie in your bed, and Scarlett in your head.”
Definition of Flawed by Lia Peele, go beyond a Prequel. It is a GREAT BOOK, MAGNIFICENT. Open your pores with unexpected scenes and reactions, he reminds you people in your life, along with well-made descriptions and characters that you never forget. It is a powerful romantic drama that you can’t stop having in your library.
“…I have had him down as the villain for years, but after listening to you today, he’s a fucking saint”.
And, when you finish reading this book, before continuing with the Definition Series, leave your opinion, review or rating on the sales platforms or book recommendation pages such like Goodreads. The authors grow thanks to your opinions.
Scarlett is a twenty one year old university student. She meets a sexy older man named Paul and they date for a few months. Her parents don’t like Paul at all. Scarlett moves in with Paul and meets his son, Dev. Everything is fine at first but Paul is keeping secrets and telling lies. This story was heartbreaking. It was great to see how Scarlett overcame all the things that happened with Paul. Feelings are happening between Dev and Scarlett now matter how she tries to deny it. A good prequel that makes you HAVE to read more.

I’M HOOKED!!!
What an intro!!!
Love the story line, Hate Paul…. So ready for Scarletts’ next chapter in life. Amazing writing.
I enjoyed this one. It was exciting and full of secrets that get revealed. Sweet Scarlett meets and falls in love with Paul who turns out to be even older than he initially said which is just the beginning of the deception. I read this in one sitting and can hardly wait to find out what happens next.

Definition of Flawed is a fabulously steamy story by author Lia Peele, which I devoured in one sitting! This book is the author’s debut novel and prequel to her upcoming Definition series. The story is told from Scarlett’s point of view and has a happy for now ending. There is not much that could have pulled me away from this story; it was that good! I am so excited about this upcoming series that I’m having a hard time waiting for the next book!
In this story, Scarlett is finishing her last year at college while working at a coffee shop and living at home. Paul, her boyfriend, was a customer at the store when they first met. After dating for a couple of months, Paul asks her to move in. Scarlett is excited until she finds out Paul has another roommate, Dex. Surprisingly, Dex is his seventeen-year-old son!
The storyline was gripping, and a definite add to your TBR list!

This is the prequel to “The Definition of Stripped” and if this book is any indication of how the next book in this series is going to be, well, let’s just say I can’t wait! The great character and storyline development hooked me right from the first page and I was unable to put this book down until I finished reading the very last page!
Declan and Nicole are two characters that keeps you engrossed in their story! She moves to be closer to her best friend but in doing so she has to face Declan again. They never got along growing up but as a woman she stands up to him and their banter changes could this be the beginning of something that can turn into something more meaningful?
