Two crimes that I think are scary and devastating are kidnapping & baby smuggling. This book deals with both of those. The people left behind to deal with the aftermath of those two crimes lay heavy on the law enforcement people who are trying desperately to solve the crimes as quickly as possible. In Texas Baby Pursuit, the crimes happen not only to two families but these families ARE the law enforcement people who are trying to solve the crimes so it’s a double whammy! They know what can happen to these babies and how fast they can disappear! There is no ransom so finding them and finding the network & bringing all these people down is top priority. This author does a great job of showing the desperate search for those involved and the personal agony of the families involved. Dallas is a Texas Ranger and it’s his sister’s baby who is taken first. Rachel is the local sheriff and her baby is taken last. In between, their lives are in danger all the time. This book is “on the edge of your seat” action all the time and is written so well! The characters are great, especially Dallas’ young, anguished teenaged daughter. Everything was so realistic! I would definitely recommend this book. It was awesome!
I was given this book complimentary by the author but a review was not expected. This review & my opinions are my own.
Margaret Daley never disappoints. This book is one you will want to own. I highly recommend it.
If you like books with suspense, mystery, Texas Rangers, murder, intrigue, love, family, and a happy ever after then wait no longer. Get it today and curl up in your favorite chair and have a good read.
Every parent’s worst nightmare is to have their child stolen.
Young Michelle was gutted when her baby nephew was kidnapped while she was babysitting him. Luckily, she was able to phone her father (a Texas Ranger) telling him the baby was being taken just before she was knocked out. As the local Sheriff and Texas Ranger investigated, they learned there had been a lot more babies stollen across the country.
As these two worked together their admiration and respect grew. And even though neither wanted a romantic relationship ever again, they were very attracted to each other. But they wouldn’t act on it while on the case.
I did suspect a few people as the ones behind the kidnappings, but I didn’t guess who it was. The ending was so good. I was filled with tension and anxious to find out if they would find the babies before they were sold.
If you enjoy suspense with a bit of romance, you’ll like Texas Baby Pursuit.
Margaret Daley writes about a tough, hard, scary subject… and wrote it well. Rachel and Dallas are thrown together to fight this battle of a baby abduction. And, not just any abduction, but Dallas’ nephew, whom his daughter was babysitting at the time. Then when the case becomes even more real for Rachel, the page-turner kicks into high gear. The story of the pursuit, the heart of both officers, the precious children involved… all round out a very good story. I highly recommend “Texas Baby Pursuit” if you are looking for edge-of-your-seat, relevant to today, sweet suspenseful romance.
Texas Baby Pursuit is the fourth book from Margaret Daley’s Lone Star Justice series. I enjoyed this story and had it read in a few hours. Dallas and Rachel had great chemistry together that made me want to keep reading to find out what would happen next. I could not imagine her turmoil when her own daughter becomes among the kidnapped children. I was on the edge of my seat until the end.
I give Texas Baby Pursuit five plus stars.
I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Texas Baby Pursuit was full of action and intrigue! A good addition to the Lone Star Justice books, this story can easily beread as a stand alone novel, as well.
The author really kept me guessing all the way till the end of the story about who exactly was behind the various baby abductions. It constantly felt like one step forward and two steps back.
The romance that developed between the two main characters was very nicely done. They each had reasons to be hesitant about a romantic relationship developing, yet their similarities and experiences helped solidify the feelings between them. It flowed nicely with the story. I recommend this for fans of romantic suspense.

Texas Ranger Dallas Sanders has just wrapped up a long, intense case and is looking forward to family time with his daughter, Michelle at his ranch. While introducing himself to the new sheriff in the town of Cimarron Trails, Rachel Young, he receives a panic phone call from his teenage daughter who is babysitting her infant cousin at her aunt and uncle’s ranch. Upon answering his phone Dallas hears his daughter’s voice. “Help! They’re taking Brady!” The phone drops just as Michelle cries out. Dallas and Rachel speed off to investigate and find the baby missing and Michelle on the floor bleeding profusely from a head wound. Thus begins a thrilling story about a baby kidnapping and smuggling ring.
Texas Baby Pursuit is Margaret Daley’s fourth book in her Lone Star Justice series. This book can easily be read as a stand-alone though. The author does an outstanding job here in introducing a strong, but also caring heroine in Sheriff Rachel Young and a dedicated, dertermined hero in Texas Ranger Dallas Sanders. Margaret Daley skillfully develops their characters and their developing relationship. She also has treated her readers to some very interesting secondary characters. I enjoyed meeting them.
Margaret Daley’s skill at writing action-packed, thrilling suspense is what attracted me to this story. I knew from reading other stories by this author that I would be well entertained reading this book. I highly recommend this book!
“On a kidnapper’s trail….Lone Star Justice never fails.” So true in this fourth in the Lone Star series showcasing the bravery of the Texas Rangers. Ranger Dallas Sanders has the heartbreaking job of finding his baby nephew, Brady, after he is kidnapped. Things just got personal on two levels after his thirteen-year-old daughter, Michelle, is also attacked during the kidnapping. As Dallas works tirelessly with new Sheriff Rachel Young, clues point to a child trafficking ring. Then the next dreadful thing happens, Rachel’s infant daughter, Katie, is kidnapped. Rachel is threatened by the kidnapper if she continues the investigation. Will Dallas and Rachel be able to solve the kidnappings before it’s too late? As they spend time together, will they become involved on more than a professional level? Author Margaret Daley writes suspense with a touch of romance that keeps you anxiously turning pages.

What could possibly be a parent’s worst nightmare? The kidnapping of your child of course. For Texas Ranger, Dallas Sanders, this is what is happening when his nephew is kidnapped while his teenage daughter is babysitting. Joined by new town sheriff, Rachel Young, they start investigating only for Rachel’s baby girl to also get kidnapped shortly after. A baby smuggling ring is discovered and emotions run even higher. This book is full of emotional turmoil, twists of the heart, and sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, nail-biting suspense. It is that good. I highly recommend!
