Sometimes, it takes a pawn to dethrone a queen.Getting bitten by a vampire in New Orleans is about as cliché as it gets, but Aurora Hedvige isn’t in a position to complain. In the last week, her life has gone from bad to worse. Now, she’s lunging for her best friend’s throat, desiring things she shouldn’t and craving something she can’t admit out loud. Out of options, she visits the … she visits the self-proclaimed voodoo queen of the French Quarter, but what Aurora thinks is the end of her problems is only the beginning.
Carver Marceau has lived in a world of misery since the day his mortal years ceased and his immortal life began. He’s Kresova, an ancient race of vampires ruled by a deadly queen bent on keeping her reign at all costs. Sent on a mission to resolve a recent string of rogue vampires, Carver’s journey leads him to Aurora.
Neither of them expected the intense bond that forms between them nor the revelations they uncover.
Carver believes Aurora is one of the Drias, the first of three fated harem queens destined to return the balance to the Kresova. With the help of friends and enemies turned allies, they’ll upend the cruel queen’s reign—if they can just survive long enough.

I really enjoyed this book. The authors’ take on vampirism lore was unique. I loved that they weren’t just vampires but Kresova. It definitely made it original. I was sucked in by the opening scenes with Queen Morana. She was one scary chick. But Aura (Aurora) was pretty gutsy throughout the book which I love in a FMC. Carver was super hot, too. They had amazing chemistry and I liked that we got to know him a bit before we’re introduced to more harem members and the love scenes are sexy! Looking forward to the rest of the series!
Fantastic start to this series. Aurora or Aura is feisty and intriguing. I Love her and her bff. You get an evil vampire queen, prophecy, rebellion, shifters and different factions of vampires all in one dramatic story. I can’t wait to read more of Aura’s story!
I am at a loss for words when it comes to describing how I feel after reading this book. It was mind blowing and amazing. We are dropped into this extremely well made world of vampires and more when Aurora is bitten causing her to change. What follows had me laughing and hooked as the story evolves in ways I could never dream of. Absolutely amazing and you so have to read it if you like the genre. I loved every second of it so I give it 5/5 stars.
Aurora’s life is changing for the better or worse. She’s turning into a vampire. With the help of Carver, she learns that she’s becoming a Kresova and that she’s part of a prophecy; one that will have her going up against a vicious vampire queen to bring balance to the Kresova.
Aurora is a fighter, especially when it comes to those whom she loves. She learns to adapt quite well to what life throws at her. Of course she has Reina to help her. Their friendship is one of the best. There’s also Carver, though he is a bit mysterious. He’s very cautious at what he says. I liked how Aurora didn’t trust him fully. If it wasn’t for the pull they have, I don’t think she would’ve trusted him at all. I’m curious about Carver and also Lucian. These two have history, and I want to know what it is.
Graceley Knot and D.D. Miers make a great collaration. The flow and pace is well done. I liked their twist on the vampire genre. Looking forward to reading more about Kresova vampires and maybe more about the other races, too.
Sometimes it begins to feel like once you’ve read a vampire book, they’re all the same, but not with this one!
Aura finds herself in a bit of a mess, with no one to help her understand it, until she meets Carver who finally has some answers. Were they the answers she wanted? Probably not, who wants to be told their world they knew was completely wrong, but she’s a strong girl who takes it with stride and does her best to help the growing problem. She finds out she has to stop a horrendous vampire queen, AND take on 3 men to do it.
She has a long road ahead of her, and I can’t wait to see what happens next with the prophecy she needs to fulfill
Thirst is an INCREDIBLY ADDICTING book that had me craving MORE! Fast paced, with downright fascinating characters, and a eye popping and mouth dropping plot that had me glued to my ereader until I hit the dreaded end of the book. I can’t describe how much I enjoyed this book. It had an almost adult Twilight feel to it, except with WAY more action, more sizzle, more chemistry, just…MORE to it than you could imagine.
I was very happy to say that Thirst is not your typical paranormal romance. The way the the characters and scenes and the storyline is portrayed, it completely enthralls you. Its 100% intoxicating! I could picture perfectly, what Carver looked like AND sounded like in my head and It had me wanting him. And Aurora is a strong heroine that I couldn’t help but to admire and respect. Everything about this book called to me and I am now hooked on this new series.
Thirst gets a DEVASTATINGLY INTRIGUING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! I am already hankering for the next book.
This was a great adventure to be part of. I was so engrossed into the story I felt I was there. Fighting beside them and feeling their pain. One of the good books to read if you want to be immersed into the story.

I liked this book. I haven’t read a vampire book in a while and this was great. It held my attention and kept me flipping the pages on my kindle.
I liked Aurora as a main character. She was quick and reacted the way any normal person would. I mean who honestly would believe they got bit by a vampire? I sure wouldn’t!
She finds outs that she is one of the Dria. They are the three fated harem queens, destined reunite and to return the balance to the Kresova. They will come together to raise the original King of Krevosa.
Sounds easy right? Well it would be if they knew where to start. So the search is on for the other two Dria and also Aurora’s third companion.
I liked her with Carver and I can’t wait for Lucian to come around.
I can’t wait to read more of this series!
