Get ready for the Morelli family like you’ve never seen them before—through the eyes of Mateo Morelli. For four days, I kept her to myself. For four days, she was mine. Then, at the first opportunity, she left me.To the world it may seem I’ve let her go, but she’ll never be beyond my reach. No matter where she is, no matter how she feels about me, Mia will always be mine. And I will always be hers.*… will always be mine.
And I will always be hers.
*Entrapment is a short Morelli family novel (60k words) from the oft-requested POV of Mateo. It takes place during Accidental Witness, BUT it is intended to be read at the end of the series, after all the puzzle pieces have clicked into place.
In addition to the Entrapment story, this collection includes deleted scenes from each of the seven books in the Morelli family series. *
WARNING: trigger warnings apply. This is a dark romance/mafia story with dark themes. Violence and WTF-ery abounds.

Mateo Morello such a hard character to understand at times. This book gives you his thoughts and feelings from scenes in books 1-7. It gives a closure for an unusual romance. Did you ever have a book character that captured your heart and imagination? Well Mia is my girl. I wanted Mateo to love her like no other would. And guess what? This book assures me he does I LOVE that the villain got the girl with an amazing ending.
This is what I’ve been waiting for! Not only do we get a bunch of incredible bonus content (Scenes told from Mateo’s perspective, some new scenes we didn’t know about), but we get the story of those days of Mia’s entrapment in Mateo’s room from Mateo’s eyes. THIS IS EVERYTHING.
Of course, don’t read this until you’ve finished the series- it is MUCH better trying to figure out just what Mateo is masterminding and being surprised by the developments in book 5. Even after finishing the series, and feeling like I truly understood Mateo’s feelings and inner workings and his dynamic with Mia, even then I found this to inspire new understandings of just what Mia does to Mateo, how and when he fell for her, and the deliciously devious way his mind works. I loved every moment of it- it was so tender and intimate, and yes, of course, dark and twisted.
I HATE that this is ending- or at least that chapter of tales. I could live in the world of Mateo and Mia forever- in fact, Mateo clearly has stockholmed me just like Mia- I want him to trap me in his room and take away all my control and choice forever. Brava, Sam.
Forewarning, make sure you’ve read all the previous books before diving into this one. This is book 7.5 of a series and they must be read in order.
Ahhhh, loved being back with Matteo Morelli! This man is pure evil, yet in his manipulating ways, you can’t help but fall in love with him. To gain more insights of to how his brain thinks, what his reasonings are for doing the things he does.
“Most experiences in life are some blend of good and bad, happy and painful. Experiences are rarely just one thing or another; they’re different classifications at different times. You fall in love and that’s fun. You get your heart broken and that’s not. Someone important comes into your life and it feels exciting. You lose someone close to you and it’s excruciating.”
Matteo has such a way with words… Such a way of making you believe that his actions are perfectly ‘normal’.
Absolutely loved this series and hate that this was the final book. Definitely would do a reread of this series in a heartbeat!
This series. This damn series. Why did it have to end?
I have SO thoroughly enjoyed the Morelli series, of which this is the final book (a bonus book, really). This one gave some pivotal scenes from Mateo’s POV, and also added in some new scenes (from his POV as well as from other chatacters’ POV). It really helped to give a bit of a softer side to Mateo in that you see that sometimes he acts out of his need to be a showman rather than his desire to actually do whatever it is he is doing. But sometimes he really IS just a cold bastard. It’s situational, really. But it sure made me feel better about rooting for his HEA.
A fine ending to an amazing series!
Mate’s POV explain a lot of my questions on the series. Also the deleted scenes are so good. Absolutely loved the series.
I loved the entire series, the author makes the characters feel so real. My new favorite author.
