I had nothing left. Only a child, and I’d already given up. My father wanted it that way. He tore me apart bit by bit until I was nothing. And then he did the worst thing imaginable. … he gave me her. From USA Today best selling author Willow Winters comes an emotional dark romance.Something to Remember is a 5,000 word prologue to the standalone, Forget Me Not.
“Something to remember” is a prequel before you read “Forget Me Not”. I enjoyed this little introduction about Jay and Robin story.
I was expecting a little more before I read the first book but unexpectedly the author didn’t share a lot in this book. Only the way Jay and Robin met.
I’m a little excited to read more about these characters and what Jay father does to him and Robin.
This was a lot packed into a short story. Wowzers!! This was when Robin and John began. When they first met. This really puts everything in Forget-Me-Not into perspective. I read Forget-Me-Not first so if you’ve read Forget-Me-Not this should definitely still be read.
I am glad that I read this before I read “Forget Me Not” I would not say that it is a must, but it explains a lot of questions that people may have at the early part of the story, if they had not read it. If you read and enjoyed “Forget Me Not” I would definitely recommend that you grab this and give it a read.
She’s all I have…
Nothing. It’s all nothing. There is nothing left for him. Until her.
She changes everything.
Everything changes with her. And then she is gone…
It’s a glimpse into what’s coming…Something to Remember is a quick tease until Forget Me Not comes out.
The prequel takes us to the place where everything started. With Jay being abused by his father and the little girl unfortunately getting right in the middle of this whole mess.
Since this prequel is so short, I won’t mention anything else about the content.
Thoughts:
After having read Forget Me Not first, there wasn’t anything new or surprising in this prequel but if you haven’t read the book yet and you’re curious what the fuss is all about, check out this prequel and read about the nightmare those kids went through.
It doesn’t really spoil the book since Forget Me Not happens years later, but if you want to go in blind, I’d suggest you don’t read the prequel first and enjoy the book to the fullest without knowing anything beforehand.
But it’s not like it will give anything away on what makes the full length book so special.
I’m not sure if this short prequel makes much sense on its own. You will definitely want to read Forget Me Not after because I’m sure you will have lots of questions to be answered.
Personally, I’m not much a fan of prequels altogether. So you’ve to decide if you want to have a sneak peek into the nightmare which the kids went through. But you wouldn’t miss out when you wouldn’t read it because there are plenty of those in the book as well.
Something to remember ( Prequel) is the beginning of Robin and Jay’s Story. This story set 10 years before Forget me not, Read how Robin and Jay be come the broken souls they are, story was emotional and intense read, A must read.

An intense prologue novella to Forget me Not, I swear that I held my breathe the entire time I read this. A very compelling must read that introduces the readers to the main characters and the basis of their story. Take a few deep breaths, and dive in. I’m pep talking myself up to take the dive into the rest of Jay and Robin’s story in Forget me Not.
