Much drama and emotions in this story about wounded souls and how they deal with the twists and disappointments of life. The key is to forgive, recognize your blessings, leave the past and live and love today!!
I really enjoyed this book & Maggie & Simon were a great couple. I felt Maggie forgave Simon too easily & too often but in the end they got their HEA. The book had lots of twists & turns, humor, romance, love, explicit love scenes, & good secondary characters. I enjoyed Book 1 & this Book 2 was also very good – I highly recommend this steamy romance.
Beautiful American Maggie and gorgeous Simon a Marquis.
This was my favorite book in the series! I loved how independent and strong willed Maggie is. She knows that Simon married her because she was an heiress.
She gets tired of waiting for him and takes matters into her own hands!
I loved everything about this book. I loved his reaction at discovering who she is. I enjoyed this story line and the steamy love scenes, the detail to attentions. It also had me laughing. I love Scarlett Scott and have read just about all her books.
This is my 2nd book bub account-having trouuble with other one.
A must read! You’ll find it hard to put this book down. A refreshing female lead who proves to be headstrong instead of letting circumstances pull her down. And a very sweet happily ever after to end!
Maggie and Simon! This has to be one of my many favorites from the amazingly talented Ms. Scott.
He married a beautiful American heiress, and then left! But, all I will say that I enjoyed this well detailed, witty, love story. I enjoyed the dialogue and the characters and of course, the love scenes are sizzling hot!
This is my second time reading this story. So worth the reading experience. The story is an exciting study in tolerance and eventual love. Choices of marriage determined by others and circumstances make for difficult outcomes. This story is a sensual delight sparking the inner emotions. It is intense and difficult to put down. Unfortunate events lead to coming to terms with love at its best, worst and strongest tenets. Just a delight to read.
Lots of sex for a stupid story. Dude, I would sleep my way across London before I gave a cheating man another shot. He never once cared about her feelings. She was the one to make every effort. Then words are supposed to make it better. No. Just no. This is the kind of dumb stuff people mistake as love. Love is both people making an effort. Love is building a life and digging into another person’s soul. Understanding another person and trying to take their needs into account is a giant part of love. Everything else is doomed to crash on the rocks.
This is another brilliantly written story in the series
This is another brilliantly written story in a series that just keeps getting better. The plot is full of surprises and emotional passages that keeps you gripped right to the end. The characters are portrayed wonderfully and have a strength to be envied. This book will suit anybody who loves hot, steamy historical romances that have plenty of twists and turns.
Maggie and Simon are my favorites in this series!! She was a young American heiress being married to a very handsome Marquis. Unfortunately for her, he has a mistress and takes off before consuming their marriage!
Maggie is a daring and independent heroine! I love her, she gives up waiting for her missing husband and takes matters into her owns hands, literally!
I loved this witty romance, the storyline is so good, everything from the private party maggie attends, to the former mistress having an unfortunate part in their marriage. But, in the end, true love conquers all, and what I absolutely loved about Maggie is just how feisty she is!!
I loved it!
Too much sex instead of character development.
It really seems like it’s all about sex, kinda predictable, got bored, did not finish it
PORN!! If you like reading very explicit sex scenes with vulgar language then this book is for you. I did not get past the first chapter before returning the book. Now don’t get me wrong I have read some steamy novels but this goes way beyond that. There needs to be a warning when books are written like this.
A Definite ‘Yes’!
I recently read ‘Wedded in Winter’ by this author as part of a box set (Once Upon a Christmas Wedding) and thoroughly enjoyed it so I looked to see what else I could find by her and found this one and am so happy that I did.
She writes an interesting and captivating story with characters that come to life on the page with their antics and strength of character.
This is a definite ‘must read’ if you like a story with passion and angst. I loved it!
