Harmony Mayson isn’t the kind of girl to take unnecessary risk, but after meeting Harlen MacCabe, she starts to wonder if maybe she should be. The more time she spends with the wild and free biker, the more she starts to crave the freedom he gives her… And even more, she starts to crave him.Harlen lives his life on his own terms. After losing both his parents at an early age to a robbery gone … robbery gone bad, he knows how precious life is, and he’s determined to get as much out of it as he can. When he runs into the beautiful Harmony and finds out she’s moving to town, he knows it’s time to take his shot. She thinks he only wants to be friends, but she couldn’t be more wrong.
What Harmony and Harlen don’t know is that their time might be cut short. Revenge is in the air, and someone won’t stop until a debt is settled.

Love this series.
Harlen MacCabe knew he wanted Harmony Mayson the first time he saw her, she was everything he should stay away from but was determined not to. He knew just having the last name Mayson brings trouble and Harmony was no exception. Harmony craves the freedom that Harlan offers her, freedom to be the woman she wants to be. When Harmony spurs the desires of another man, little does she know that danger and revenge are the only thing being served. I loved this story and the characters within it. Harlan is the ultimate alpha biker and Harmony is a hot nurse, together they melted my kindle. Amazing series and book. All books in the Until Her series can be read as stand alones. Definitely a MUST READ book.
The book I have SERIOUSLY been waiting for! The next installment of the Until Her series, Until Harmony. The biker and the babe!
Harmony and Willow Mayson are twins, and their parents are Sophie and Nico (which were probably my favorite couple in the original Until series). Harmony has goals, long term and short term. Her life is planned out and scheduled and she works hard to obtain those goals. Harlen MacCabe puts a wrench in those plans in the best way possible.
Compared to the previous novels in the series, there’s not a huge amount of drama. It’s more fluffy. No crazy ex’s no pushing each other away. There’s some tension in the beginning, and then there is craziness at the end (which gives us sneak peeks into Until Cobi coming late 2018) but there wasn’t the massive tension that has been present since the Until books. And I loved it! It was just the right amount of messiness to give the novel substance, and the right amount of romance to keep it from going too dark.
And Nico is there being his usual over-protective, cussing self. And it is glorious.
Harmony got her BOOM, but I’m pretty sure Harlen got his too.
I absolutely devoured this book. I pre-ordered it awhile ago, so when I finished reading another book around 9 this morning, I immediately started reading Harmony’s story. I finished it at 12. Now, I know I’m a fast reader, but I devoured all 200 pages in 3 hours. I think that’s a new record for me. I’m going to need to do a re-read of this novel! It went by way too quickly.
I think one of my favorite things about this novel, was the easy acceptance Harlen has for Harmony’s goals. He wants a life with her, a family with her, and he makes it known, but he also respects her so much, and respects her job so much, that not once (can I repeat that NOT ONCE) does he complain she works too much, or says she should just stay home. He’s so alpha it’s not even funny, but the fact he loves her and respects her and her job just make him that much hotter to me.
Harlen may be my new favorite…
at least until Cobi comes out…
~WRITING – PLOT – PACE~
I was in the mood today for something low angst and low drama and this one pretty much fit the bill perfectly. The writing was great. The pace was perfect. The plot was engaging and had me turning the pages. The entire book kind of gave me a Motorcycle Man alá Kristen Ashley feel. Last, it was all wrapped up in a few very sweet epilogues.
~HERO~
HARLEN…I love him. He was pretty much your typical ARR hero. He was sexy. He was over the top alpha. He was sweet. He rode a motorcycle. He was all in with Harmony from the first moment they meet (off page apparently) <-- my memory is sh!t so maybe they meet for the first time in a previous book? And I loved how he stood up to Nico. ~HEROINE~ HARMONY...I liked her character as well. She was sweet. She was feisty. She was a little clueless. I loved how she interacted with her family. And she was all in with Harlen the minute she got a clue. ~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~ There was a great cast of secondary characters in this one. Harlen's single Dad neighbor intrigued me <-- I am kind of hoping Willow catches his eye. Along with a couple of Harlen's friends. Not to mention Colbi and I assume his heroine is going to Hadley. And of course I LOVED seeing Nico <-- I seriously need to reread his book soon. ~HEAT LEVEL~ High. There were plenty of smokin' hot sex scenes in this one and the couple had fantastic on page chemistry. ~ANGST LEVEL~ Basically NONE. This was definitely a unicorn prancing through the tulips farting rainbows type of read. Usually, those bore me to tears lately, but I was in the right frame of mind today. So it was ALL good. There is a bit of drama at the end, but it's resolved quite quickly. There was no OW or OM drama. Neither were virgins and no prior sex life info was given. ~IN THE END~ I enjoyed this one quite a lot as I am sure many people will. If you are a fan of ARR then this will tickle your fancy and leave you with a smile on your face. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two solid thumbs up and try patiently to wait for Cobi's book coming in late 2018.
If you have been a huge fan of the Until series you will know there is only one way to describe Until Harmony and that is BOOM!!! Harmony is the kind of girl who doesn’t take risks and has everything planned out but that is until Harlan enters the picture and suddenly plans aren’t what is best. Harlan may appear to be this gritty gruff biker to most but when it comes to Harmony this man has a heart as soft as clouds. This book will have you captivated from the start and will have you falling head over heels in love with these two characters. Until Harmony is mesmerizing, drama filled, hot and steamy and action packed. Harlan will melt your heart at the way this man loves and what he does to show it. This book will leave you on a huge reading high and will have you feeling the effects of the boom all the way through to your heart and soul.
Until Nico has always been my favorite and getting to see him deal with his daughter’s BOOM priceless.
This was an absolutely beautiful love story. Everything worked H/h dynamic, storyline, flow and characters. A great addiction to the Until series.
I have loved the Mayson family since I opened up the first Until series novel and was first introduced to the “Boom”. The family has a long standing belief in love at first sight and each couple in every Until series romance, including the building spinoff series for the Mayson children has experienced that Boom; that moment you set eyes on the one person you can’t live without. I would equate it much to “the force” for a Star Wars character. It’s there. It’s mentioned. It’s something that can’t be seen and yet when you see the love and affection that surrounds the Mayson family, you know it’s real.
That is what I have connected most with in all the characters and yet, I didn’t feel it as strongly with this story. The love and passion between Harmony and Harley was quite evident. There’s no doubt in my mind that they fell hard and fast for each other…but I didn’t feel it. And that makes me sad. There was just that instant spark, that very moment where they laid eyes on each other – it was missing for me.
I think it started with the Prologue. Having read and loved the previous books, I know that a lot happens with some of the other characters and those events connect the characters through a part in time that if you’re going to pick up from there, it needs more detail. For me the Prologue did not have anything significant to separate it from the rest of the story. If I was a first time reader of this series and having been so long since I read the previous books, the mention of how they first met wasn’t enough for the backstory the characters shared.
I still managed to love the characters. Harlen is a perfection addition to the Mayson clan. He’s just the perfect amount of alpha to fit right in. He’s a protector, he’s kind and caring and a complete softy when it came to Harmony. On the outside, he’s intimidating and rugged and what I would describe as a toasted marshmallow: crisp and slightly hard on out the outside and soft/gooey on the inside. And Harmony’s kind, sweet nature just keeps him in awe everyday.
She’s the typical daddy’s girl, yet she strives for her independence. She knows she can always count on her family but she wants to make it on her own. And when Harlen gets in the picture, she’s ready to make it clear that he is the man she has chosen and had no intentions of backing down. Because we all know a girl who grows up with an alpha father wouldn’t settle for anything less than having her own alpha treating her like a queen.
I just adore this series and I look forward to more and it breaks my heart that I couldn’t give it a five star rating. Especially as epic as the story was for Nico and Lily (Harmony’s parents).
Aurora Rose Reynolds has done it again. She has left me with another delicious book hang over.
I fell in love with Harlen and and Harmony’s story! It captured me from the very beginning. I love how Harlen pursued Harmony, until #Boom! The chemistry between the two comes off the pages. Harlen and Nico’s encounters….oh my…
I loved how the characters and the storyline flow. I also LOVE LOVE getting to see characters from the previous books. This is a definite must read and I look forward to the next book in the series.
There’s nothing like an Aurora Rose Reynolds ‘BOOM!’ And, while it takes Harmony Mayson and Harlen MacCabe a bit to get on the same page when it comes to their true feelings for one another, once Harlen spells it all out to Harmony, a ‘hard and fast’ connection is established, and they both realize that the journey they’re on is one hell of an amazing ride with just a few bumps along the way!
I really liked Harmony and how Reynolds characterized her heroine. I think part of the reason why me and many of Until Harmony readers will connect with Harmony is because, on the surface, we’re just as conservative and cautious as she is, but we also yearn, at times, to be a carefree girl, throwing caution to the wind and having the guts to takes risks, and there’s no greater risk than giving one’s heart to someone and praying that person treats it with kindness, respect, and, above all, love. Harmony is clearly driven by her goals and her need to find a man who is a lot like her father because he’s the man who everyone else has to live up to, and while Nico definitely has his concerns when it comes to Harlen, time and time again, Harlen proves that he is exactly the kind of man that Nico’s careful and organizing daughter needs to help her live her life with no regrets and to protect her at all costs.
While Harlen Alistair MacCabe might be a man with demons, how he carries himself and how his number one priority becomes Harmony and her well-being once he goes all in shows readers exactly what they need to understand about this badass alpha male –he’s someone Harmony can trust; he’s someone who may seem a little bossy and a little controlled but that’s only because his love for Harmony makes him extremely protective.
Until Harmony, Harlen ‘never thought about the future – always lived one day at a time, not putting much thought into where I {he} was going.’ But with Harmony by his side, he has purpose…he has a love he refuses to give up. Even when he was playing it safe and acting as Harmony’s friend so he didn’t spook her, readers could tell exactly how Harlen felt about her and the fact that he was all-in, not allowing anyone to stand in his way of claiming Harmony, especially her fears and insecurities.
I really enjoyed Until Harmony. Harmony and Harlen are each other’s perfect match because they complement one another’s personalities and allow them to see the big picture when it comes to what’s important in life and how life is supposed to be lived. I loved how Aurora Rose Reynolds laid out their story line, starting them out as friends, working towards a solid foundation before that BOOM really hits them and redefines their lives in all the best ways.
Reynolds’ Until Him & Until Her series continue to woo readers with their alpha male heroes, their feisty heroines, and the undeniable chemistry that make the main characters more than ready to claim one another and explore how good things can be.
4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
This is the fourth book in the Until Her series. They are standalones. This is also a spin off from the Until series. There is also the Until Him spin-off as well. I have read, and love them all.
Harmony is Nico’s daughter. She follows her plans to achieve her dream of being a nurse. If it’s not in her plan, she doesn’t do it. She knows she needs to have more fun and live some.
Harlen has it bad for Harmony. He’s a great guy. He’s lost a lot. He’s a hard worker and works for what he wants. He isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.
He did remind me a lot of Nico. He protects what’s his.
I really liked him, especially when he didn’t back down from Nico. He stood up to him, multiple times.
Harlen was right when he said that trouble seems to follow the Mayson name.
I’m excited for Cobi’s story next. I really hope it’s him and Hadley.
This is a great read.
Once again Aurora Rose Reynolds delivers the perfect BOOM with Until Harmony. All the sweet, all the swoon, and all the heat, this book is one you’ll quickly find yourself lost in. Every time I see a title with “Until” from ARR i get ridiculously excited. From the first generation of Maysons to this one every single book is a favorite and Until Harmony is no exception.
Harlen and Harmony just may be one of my favorite couples in this series. Harlen is so perfect I was falling head over heels from the first time he spoke and continued to fall harder and harder with every page. All alpha, but kind hearted and loving in a way only Aurora’s heroes are the man is delicious. Paired with Harmony’s sweetness you’ve got a couple that makes you want to stay in their story forever.
This book was so good!! Nico has met his match
In Alpha-ness. Omg so good!! Aurora’s Until series is one of my favorite series ever and with Harmony and Harlen’s book she didn’t disappoint.
5 stars!!
Harmony and Harlen own my heart! That should sum up this review.
I was over the freaking moon when I found out Harmony’s story was the next to come in the series for one obvious reason. I knew in the back of my mind that Harlen was going to be a fierce alpha, what with claiming one of Nico’s daughters he would have to be…Right?! I also loved how compassionate this man was! I loved his entire vibe when it came to claiming and protecting Harmony. Until Harmony is a fast paced, sweet as sugar and sexy as sin novel.
I cannot wait to get my hands on Cobi’s story!
No one compares to Aurora Rose Reynolds with her exceptional writing and emotionally-infused storylines!
Until Harmony is a phenomenal collaboration of artistic words, illustrating a passionate combination of excitement, suspense, and passion. The story showcases the author’s signature love-at-first-sight chemistry, but captivates readers with its intimacy and affection.
Harlen and Harmony are truly two characters you will fall madly in love with immediately! The instant intrigue upon first introduction to these characters both fascinates and propels the story forward. Their relationship may start out a little differently than the ones from the previous books in the series, but that’s what really separates this story from the others. The deeply emotional and fierce bond between Harlen and Harmony is tested throughout the book, and its one that radiates extreme heat, intensity, and unconditional love.
I will never, EVER, get enough of the author’s Until love stories! The passion, strong character dynamics, and exceptionally penned storylines are remarkably singular romance novels. The unique BOOM is stronger than ever in Until Harmony, and displays a new and fresh insight into respect and affection like we haven’t read before.
5 Stars!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Quotes were taken from an ARC and are subject to change upon publication.
“It’s been you, Harlen. For months, it’s been you, even when it wasn’t.”
ARR can make an alpha male! Until this book my favorite had always been Asher from Until November, BUT he has been dethroned by Harlen! Oh sweet McNuggets was he scrumptious!
I devoured this book! I really loved Harmony and Harlen, I didn’t want their story to end. They were the perfect example of opposites that work well together. She was sweet, a little sassy, and completely adorable while Harlen was rugged, not much of a talker, and so unapologetically male.
The boom has struck again because these two had some MAJOR chemistry! I damn near had to fan myself while reading their scenes together. Even when they weren’t having sexy times and were just hanging out, that chemistry was still there!
He’s full of contradictions. Just seeing him, I would never guess he could be sweet, that he could make me laugh and put me at ease without even trying.”
We had some drama, great secondary characters, and just overall a great read.
Now all I can do is to try and be patient for Colbi’s book, not really going to happen (I’ll be stalking ARR until then)
Who would have thought Aurora Rose Reynolds could top the Mayson Boys well she has by giving us another generation of hot alpha males as well as the Mayson girls finding their their true love. Until Harmony is book 4 in the Until Series and this is Harmony Mayson and Harlan MacCabe’s journey and I say journey because for me these books are so much more than stories.
We meet Harlan for the first time in Until July, he is one of Wes’s friends and he is a member of the Broken Eagles MC but don’t let those tattoos fool you this man is a true alpha male, he is hot, protective, loyal, kind and gentle to the people he cares about. The problem is too many people judge him on appearance and that means convincing Harmony’s dad Nico you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover…….
This book has it all, once I started there was no putting down, it’s filled with happy, sad and funny moments and what can I say about the sizzling chemistry between Harmony and Harlan except it’s off the charts. Once again this author has given me another book boyfriend to fall for, she sure has a talent for drawing us in and giving us exactly what is needed with her amazing writing skills looking forward to the next book.
