is a steamy contemporary romance with alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They’re flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable for readers who enjoy adult romance, contemporary romance, and women’s fiction.
Brianna Heart has a six-year old daughter and a twelve-year plan to keep her life as simple as possible … a twelve-year plan to keep her life as simple as possible until Layla turns eighteen. That means swearing off relationships and the drama that goes along with them, working two jobs, and being the best damn mother she can be.
The last thing Capital Series Grand Prix racer Hugh Braden wants after dating media-hungry leggy models and money-hungry fan girls is a blind date. But how could he turn down a favor to one of his best friends? Hugh expected the date to go poorly, but he didn’t expect to be intensely attracted to the beautiful brown-eyed bartender who completely blows him off —and steals his every thought thereafter.
When Brianna’s perfectly orchestrated life turns upside down, Hugh is there to help, softening the turmoil, and maybe even rescuing her heart from the lonely place where it has been hiding. Can a man who doesn’t believe in fate and a woman who doesn’t believe in true love find happiness in each other’s arms forever?

Another Winner – Loved this story !! Audiobook Review
As I listen to each story, they just keep getting better and now this one is my new favorite! From the other books, I always had Hugh pegged as a playboy, but here you see him meet Brianna and start falling fall her and wanting more. Brianna’s past is holding her back and Hugh has to break …
While I enjoyed this book. I would recommend starting with the oldest brother book first and read the above last.
Hearts at Play is book #9 in the Love in Bloom series and is book #6 in the Bradens at Weston. CO series but can be read as a standalone.
Brianna Heart is a waitress in a bar in rural Virginia, not too far from one of Hugh’s homes and part time photographer’s assistant with a six year old daughter, Layla and a twelve year plan to keep her life …
Prince Hugh is all that and a bag of potato chips. Brianna doesn’t stand a chance against him…..but watching her try makes for a fun read.
The narrator does a great job in this story. I’m finally where I like his voice;)
This is the Sixth book in The Bradens Series. This Series is also part of the Love in Bloom Series. Hugh, Brianna’s story is a great single Mom story. Layla, Brianna’s daughter, is so cute. This is another great addition to this amazing Series. BJ Harrison did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed my listening.
The best book in the series!
I love all of Melissa Foster’s book and especially the ones with the Braden family, but this one is by far the best one in the series! I fell in love with Hugh Braden from the moment he laid eyes on Brianna. The way he acted, talked and responded to Brianna was so heartwarming that you can’t help but fall in love …
Love her books
The guy was too unreal. There’s not a man alive like that guy
I really like thus author
could not put this book down I highly recommend it
Love just about everything by this author!
I was disappointed in this book. I’ve read others by this author and was expecting better. Minimum plot and mediocre writing.
I found both the h and H to be unbelievable characters. The h and her plan to stay single for 18 years was absurd (but she was all over jumping into bed with the H), and her habit of continually looking down and not meeting the H’s eyes during a conversation, so that he had to tip up her chin with a finger – over and over again – was just …
