The first time I saw Beau Smith’s face, I fell for him…hard. There’s just a few tiny problems. He lives wild. I’ve never left the city. He wants a wife who can handle his harsh world. I just want him. He’s been burnt in the past, and he won’t let me in easily, but there’s no denying the spark between us, so intense it could set the woods on fire. And with every hot and dirty night we spend … spend together, I can feel his walls crumbling.
But once he realizes I’m not what he signed up for, that I lied to him about who I am—will he still want me, or will I lose my wild man forever?
Warning: The Smith Brothers are not just identical twins, they’re big, burly, bearded, insanely hot mountain men. They’re also sweet, and very, very dirty. Did I mention dirty?

Holy hot twin brother!
Beau Smith is the twin brother of Hank from the first book, Mountain Man.
The sexy, hot AF, bearded wild man needs a wife. He wants her compatible and competent, but minus the love part. Love is a deal-breaker. His mother is the reason for that. She up and left when he was very young. So he believes removing any love from the equation will solve any problems of a future broken heart.
Freya and Beau have been chatting back and forth for the past 6 months after meeting online. She decides to surprise him with a visit one day. She knows he isn’t looking for love, but it’s too late for her, she has already fallen for him. Maybe she can get him to reciprocate those feelings by doing all the things his checklist requires? You know…the ones she fibbed about already knowing how to do?
City girl & wild mountain man.
What could possibly go wrong?
Freya turns up the charm, and tries super hard to be successful and good at cooking and fishing and hunting and hiking. aka: Beau’s required checklist items
Watching her try to be convincing was entertaining. Watching him realize she had no idea what she was doing, but still allowing her to carry on was adorable.
Even though he’s a large, beast of a man, he’s so very sweet and caring. And also very naughty. And a dirty talker? Hell yes!
This was a quick and steamy and satisfying read for me and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
Big, burly mountain man, Beau Smith, places an dating profile online to meet a strong, independent country gal. He is looking for a woman to work along side him. A woman that can handle his simple lifestyle. Freya is that woman. Or is she?
Freya felt an instant pull towards Beau. She couldn’t help but to stretch the truth to get to meet a man like him. He has invited her to his new home, and she hopes that she can keep up this charade. Beau is too good to be true and she hasn’t come this far to lose him now.
I didn’t. Sherilee Gray is now on my radar, and I will keep an eye out for her books moving forward!
3 Stars!

While still a good read and an entertaining story, this volume just didn’t do as much for me as the prior book in the series, “Mountain Man.” I had a much harder time connecting with Beau and Freya than I did with Hank and Birdie. Beau was all encouraging to Hank about pursuing Birdie, but then turned all hard-hearted when it came to his own chances at happiness. And Freya’s lies, pretty much from the beginning to the end of the tale, made it hard for me to sympathize much with her. Still, despite the inherent flaws of the story, the writing was good enough that it still made reading it enjoyable enough.
Beau watched his brother find love and settle down, and now he wants that too, but meeting his perfect girl has proved to be quite hard. He needs someone who is willing to live in the boonies and live off the land, and those kind of women are far and few between, so he turns to a dating site that he hopes will find him his perfect girl. And he finds Freya, she is beautiful, witty, and seems to have all the qualities he wants in a woman… it’s almost as if she is too good to be true.
Between the pages of this scintillating little read you will meet Beau Smith, and his lovely counterpart Freya, and have the opportunity to follow them on their very steamy journey. These two love birds weren’t having any luck finding love the old tradition way so they turned to a matchmaking site to find a mate and wound up far more than they anticipated. I loved this newest offering from Ms. Gray, her story line was very captivating, the characters were amazing, and it contained some of hottest little encounters I’ve read in a while, she is definitely a master at crafting steamy tales! Highly recommend this one, it will put a smile on your face, and have your tablet overheating!!
