This third book in the Restrained series is a standalone novel, though minor spoilers for In His Silks are included.more
When Elora slips on the sidewalk outside her favorite local coffee shop, the handsome Greek bodyguard who comes to her rescue makes her insides tremble and her knees go weak. This book centers around Elizabeths bodyguard, once it got into the myths and talk around a vampire Greek princess, no thanks.
What a beautiful message this book sends about family that should not be ignored. This is not just about the relationship between Elora and Milos. It extends beyond that scope and has very poignant message that should not be missed.
Elora and Milos are great personable characters filled with emotions and pain that is overwhelming at times. I really enjoyed how their story plays off of Elizabeth and Alexander’s wedding on New Year’s Eve. The holidays are such a sensative time with many people that the experiences Elora and Milos have, makes your heart swell and ache at the same time.
I recommend this book because it is well written with creativity, sensativity and it’s sexy scenes. I especially believe you will like this romance for all the love that Elora and Milos find with each other and their family.
This is the third book in the Series. You can listen to this audiobook as a standalone, but really, you absolutely have to listen to the first books before! I love Elora and Milos’s story. Milo is a handsome, and protective man. Elora is a beautiful characters, with a difficult past. I absolutely love their happy ending. I also loved to see again the other characters from the first books. The narration was really well done, as always with Grace Grant and Aiden Snow. I love their accents! I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
An amazing and unexpected story about the bodyguard Milos. This book is about Milos and Elora; two people who feel they are too damaged to be loved. Milos has regrets, fears and nightmares having to do with a justified incident while Elora has a disfigurement on her face, health issues and was disowned by family for a mistake she made at fifteen. The chemistry between Milos and Elora is instant and real. You will laugh and you will cry. You will experience the steamy passion that these two love-struck characters share, get angry at the pain that Elora’s family caused her yet will be embraced by the love that Milos’s family has to offer. This was a exquite story with a lot of love, pain, sorrow and acceptance.
This is the third book in the Restrained series but can be read alone (tho does contain some spoilers for the first book ‘In His Silks’).
Elora and Milos are healing each other’s respective sorrows and finding well deserved HEAs just in time to make the holidays extra special and bright. Elora has been made to believe her whole life that because she may be slightly different there was something wrong with her. Her family chose to belittle and demean her and ultimately turned their backs on her – leaving her with a large hole in her heart. Since leaving Greece, she has tried to preserver but the pain of rejection leaves her crippled in ways her illness mimics physically. Milos knows deep down that he taking out that assassin to save Elizabeth and Alexander was the only call, but the debt still weighs heavily on his soul. This belief of guilt keeps him trapped in purgatory and plagues him. When he meets Elora and sees a beautiful Greek Princess he shouldn’t hope to possess he is spellbound but knows that he shouldn’t drag her into his darkness. It soon becomes clear to him though they both have demons and they may be able to heal one another. Elora has scars that run much deeper than the surface and the walls she has erected will be tough to scale- but Milos has never backed down from a fight before.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
WOW!! What a great book! The character building makes you totally love the characters and feel their emotions. This book kept me glued to my seat from beginning to end!! When Elora has an episode – I felt her pain. I can’t understand Milos’ pain as I have no experience with anything like that, but I did understand how he internally fought the pain. This is a very well written book with a HEA story but the character depth is fabulous. This is a must read for any and all romance readers. I was given an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion – again WOW!!
Elora is a strong little woman. Having to go through all she’s been through. I don’t know how I would have reacted to having all those things and problems in my life. She came out the other side a survivor, but every survivor has his own demons and she is no exception.
Milos is a great man. I loved it when I realized it was HIS love story. He deserves the best and he got the best, but sometimes the best doesn’t come as easy as we hope. He kept going after it though and in the end, he got the girl.
The way the relationship developed in this book was something that I enjoyed quiet a lot. Not only the trust Elora put in Milos hands but also that they were forced to speak about their problems.
I won’t deny I wanted to smack some sense into Elora at some point or another but I also understood where she was coming from. It wasn’t easy, specially with her health problems, but she did it.
Seeing Alexander and Elizabeth again, the couple from the previous book in the series, was a great bonus. I really love them and I was happy to check on them and their lives a little bit.
Ohh and the sexy parts of the books were well done, steamy and satisfying… if you know what I mean *wink* I still liked Elizabeth’s story a little bit more in the sexy scenes department but I can’t complain. Milos was just oh so sexy for me, no matter what he did *laugh*
All that being said, even though I truly enjoyed the book, there was something missing that I couldn’t put my finger on. I was very satisfied with the ending but I guess I wanted more drama with Elora’s family (?) I don’t know.
What I do know is that I can’t wait to get my paws over In His Collar, Nicholas book. The sneak peek was awesome.
